In 130 cases of subtotal gastrectomy under acupuncture anaesthesia

we performed electro-acupuncture induction to elevate electro-acupuncture tolerance threshold

and observed the relationship between it and visceral traction reaction in the course of operation. 1. 50 cases in the control group were not induced to elevate their electro-acupuncture tolerance thresholds (the average value was 3.14±1.23). 80 cases in the experimental group were induced to elevate their electro- acupuncture tolerance thresholds.
