Mast cells may participate in neurogenic inflammation(NI) relative to migraine. The effects of Tianrong acupoint therapy on unilateral degranulation of mast cells in rat dura mater following elcetrical stimulation of trigeminal ganglion were evaluated by transmission electron microscopy. We found that Tianrong acuPOint injection with saline and Quchi acuPoint injection with prednisolonum inhibited effectively the degranulation of mast cells in rat dura mater induced by electrical stimulation of trigeminal ganglion

but it was much weaker than T1anrong acupoint injection with prednisolonum. The results provided the evidence that Tianrong acupoint therapy could inhibit the NI on the affected side.
