The pain in mandibular branch of trigeminal nerve can be effectively treated by acupuncturing mental foramen and mandibular foramen. The two foramina are both the part of pathological changes and the part passing by Stomach Channel of Foot-yangming. The pain in the trigeminal nerve has cer tain connection with imbalance of Stomach Channel of Foot-yangming
therefore
the pain can be eased and thechannels and collaterals can be unobstructed throngh readjusting Yangming Channel and acupuncturing the acupoint of it. In this paper
126 cases are involved
among which 42 cases belong to the slight ones
61 cases are medium ones and other 23 cases are serious ones. The therapeutic ef fects can be illustrated as follows: 29 slight cases are cured
the cure rate is 69. 1 %; 35 medium cases are cured
the cure rate is 57. 4%; and 6 serious cases are cured
the cure rate is 26. 1 %. The above mentioned results show that the less serious the symptom is
the higher the cure rate is. Moreover
ac cording to the relation between the course of disease and the therapeutic effects
we can see the shorter of the course of disease
the better of the therapeutic effect. The authors are guided by the thought of integrated traditional and western medicine
