Twenty-eight patients who had undergong lung resection
were treated withacupuncture for postoperative traumatic pain. We selected the points of thechanncls that traverse the site of the pain or that related to the concernedviscera. The needle were manipulated persistently with lift-thrust and rotationthat offer the patient a maximal tolerable needle sensation of sorenessand distention for 15--20 minutes.
