Our former work showed that there was a synergism of analgesia between1-tetrahydropalmatine (1-THP) and electroacupuncture (EA). Recently
it hasbeen verified that 1-THP is a new chemical type of central dopamine (DA) re-ceptor antagonist. To study the role of central dopaminergic system in thesynergism between 1-THP and EA analgesia
the effects of icv DA agonists on1-THP-induced analgesia and EA analgesia were investigated by using the po-tassium iontophoretic dolorimetry in rabbits.
