Since 1992

the authors have treated 42 cases of chronic colitis with acupuncture and moxibustion. Method: acupuncture was used where the points were under knees

such as Zusanli

and the feeling was conducted upward.Moxibustion combined with acupuncture was used where the points were in waist

sacrum and abdomen

such as Guanyuan and Dachangshu. One time a day

ten times as one course of treatment. After three continuous courses

the result was as follows: clinically cured: 28 cases (66.67%);markedly effective: 9 cases (21.43%);effective: 5 cases (11.90%).
