Abstract
The therapeutic method of treating aching legs by acupuncturing at Shousanli(LI 10) originated from the principle of selecting distant points
and according to the ancient TCM theory “points on the lower portion should be selected for the diseases of the upper part
points on the upper should be chosen for the diseases of the lower". Acupuncture prescription was Shousanli(LI 10)
but the tender acupoint was selected. The manipulation was short-puncture. Meantime the patient was asked to move the affected leg. Treatment was given one time daily. Three times made a course.
