    • Research progress on mechanisms of acupuncture and moxibustion underlying improvement of oxidative stress

    • The role of acupuncture and moxibustion in reducing oxidative stress has attracted much attention. This paper reviews the literature on acupuncture and moxibustion improving the mechanism related to oxidative stress in the past five years, and deeply discusses the relationship between acupuncture and moxibustion and redox biological process from the aspects of regulating the production of reactive oxygen species, affecting the antioxidant enzyme pathway, repairing damaged molecules, and inhibiting cell apoptosis. These studies provide new ideas and basis for acupuncture and moxibustion to improve the mechanism of oxidative stress and related diseases.
