The curative effect of fire needling combined with filiform needling on tension-type headache and its effect on the tenderness of pericranial muscles
封面论文
“A study on the treatment of tension headaches (TTH) has made significant progress. This study used a combination of fire needle stimulation at the tender points around the skull and filiform needle stimulation to calm the nerves, effectively improving the clinical symptoms of TTH patients and significantly reducing the tenderness of the muscles around the skull. In the study, patients in the experimental group received treatment with fire needles and filiform needles, resulting in a reduction in the number of headache attacks, a decrease in the severity of headaches, a reduction in the number of tender points in the cranial muscles, and an increase in the threshold for tenderness. These improvement effects were better than those of the control group, demonstrating the advantages of using a combination of fire needle stimulation for pericranial tender points and filiform needle stimulation for calming the nerves. The study also found that the reduction and alleviation of headache attacks are positively correlated with the decrease in the number of tenderness points in the cranial muscles and the increase in tenderness threshold, further confirming the close relationship between cranial tenderness and the onset of TTH. This study not only provides new and effective methods for the treatment of TTH, but also provides important evidence for our in-depth understanding of the pathogenesis of TTH and the impact of pericranial tenderness. The combination of fire needle stimulation at tender points around the skull and filiform needle calming stimulation has opened up a new direction for the treatment of tension headaches, and is expected to bring good news to more patients.”
