Effects of electroacupuncture on the PI3K/Akt/CREB signaling pathway and hippocampal neuronal apoptosis in diabetic cognitive impairment rats
更新时间:2024-05-09
    • Effects of electroacupuncture on the PI3K/Akt/CREB signaling pathway and hippocampal neuronal apoptosis in diabetic cognitive impairment rats

    • This study observed the effect of electroacupuncture on signal pathways and related proteins in hippocampus of rats with diabetes cognitive impairment (DCI), and explored the mechanism of electroacupuncture treatment of DCI. The experimental results showed that electroacupuncture can improve the learning and memory abilities of DCI rats, which may be related to the regulation of protein expression related to the PI3K/Akt/CREB signaling pathway and the alleviation of hippocampal neuronal apoptosis. This study provides a theoretical basis for the treatment of DCI with electroacupuncture, and opens up a new direction for the treatment of neurological complications of diabetes.
