    • MECHANISMS OF CORRECTION OF ARRYTHMIAS BY ACUPUNCTURE

      Issue 3, Pages: 161-167(1983)
摘要:The nervous system plays an important role in the porduction of arry- thias. Acupuncture can adjust the function of the autonomic nervous system, and thus the function of the heart. The action of acupuncture which re- duces the appearance of arrythmia is chiefly mediated by the central nervous system. the neural pathways involved are discussed.

摘要:One hundred ninety-three cases of cesarean sections were performed under acupuncture anesthesia, with successful rate of 95.8%, and excellent results obtained in 82.9% The authors discussed the acupuncture points selected and the type of Previous operations performed, and also compared with the results of 50 cesarean sections under epidural block. It was found that the needling points chosen, the types of operations performed, the causes of cesarean section, and the condition of patients before operation had no relationship to the results odtained, their statis- tical difference being insignificant (p>0.05). The poorer operative results in the repeated cesarean might be outcomes. The hemodyamic changes during operation were rather smooth in acu- puncture group while they fluctuated greatly in epibural group. Less blood was used in the acupuncture group, although the conditions of the patients in that group were much worse. The postoperative courses were much more uneventfnl, with less analgesics used, and better G. I. functions in the acupuncture group. The author conluded that cesarean section under acupuncture anesthesia could obtain better results. It is easy to manipulate, much safer, and smo- oth in postoperative course. Therefore, it is the anesthesia of choice.

    • CSF NAGA PEPTIDE AND ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE ANALGESIA

Pan Xiaoping, Zhang Binghai, Ji Shizhu, Wang Deling Gao Hui, Zheng Lifang, Du Guizhen, Jiang Chengchuan
      Issue 3, Pages: 229-234(1983)
摘要:We have recently identified a new small peptide from human brain, It is a tetrapeptide with the structure of Asn-Ala-Gly-Ala, which has been termed "Naga Peptide". It shows potent analgesic effect in rabbit when injected into brain ventricle, central grey or venous. This analgesic effect can be antagonized by naloxone, It is assumed to be mediated by morphine receptors. The content of Naga peptide in human and rabbit CSF were increased markedly after electro-acupuncture, and the pain threshold was also incre- ased markedly at the same time. The increament of Naga was parallel to the rise of pain threshold. The amount of Naga peptide in CSF was increased markedly after in- jection of Naga intravenously, and the pain threshold of the rabbit was also increased markedly at the same time. The increment of Naga in CSF was parallel to the rise of pain threshold. These results show that Naga peptide may be one of the endogenous opioid peptide and related to the acupuncture.
