摘要:In 1198 cases acupuncture anesthesia for subrotal gastrectomy, there are 61 failures. The failure rate is 5.1%. The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the various causes of the failures of acupuncture anesthesia. As a result of this analysis, it is considered that the faitures are somewthat re- lated to various factors such as of age of the patients, choice of their acu- puncture points and method of stimulation, adjunct drugs used, location and degree of complication of the diseased foci, and to whether the operation is difficult or easy in certain procedures. From the summary of the failure cases, it has been pointed out that as method of physiological anesthesia, acupuncture anesthesia has certain li- mitation in analgesia, and insufficiency in prevention adverse reactions from traction to viscera. However, if the patients are detected preoperatively and chosen acco- rding to stability of their nature, strength of their temperance, higher threshold to pain sensation and less complicated diseased foci, meanwhile effective acupuncture points; and adequate method of stimulaton and suitable adjunct drugs are to be chosen, and good coorperation between all respects of operation team are to be expected; and in those critical surgical proce- dures such as freeing of duodenum, exploration of diseased foci and reexa- mination of anastimotic ring, apply some drugs beforehand; then acupunc- ture anesthesia can be considered as one of good choices in anesthesia, and good results can be expected.

摘要:The chronic microelectrode techniques were carried out on 23 cats. The response of a single unit activity of bulbar medulla and the behavior respo nses were recorded when the intenstive stimulus applied to the central end of splanchnic nerve. Among 128 neurons from 18 cats, the frequency of neuronal discharges was increased in 100 units (about 78.1%), and decreased in 27 units (abo- ut 21.1%). The pain response, increasing abdominal muscle contration and the pupil dilation occurred concomitantly. with the change of neuronal di- scharges. The behavior responses of entire body, however, were elicited when the intensity of noxious stimulation was increases signficantly. In most conscious cases, the changes of bulbar unit discharge, either increasing or decreasing, were depressed by electroacupuncture, but there was no significant change in the behavior responses arised from the spla- nchnic stimulus. It is therefore concluded that the depression of unit discharge in ce- ntral nervous system, in general, may serve as an analgesic index in the research of electroacupuncture. However, the inhibition of behavior resp- onse of pain would be one of the much more effective criteria in a true estimation of acupuncture anaesthesia. The drowsy signs were produced in 13 out of 27 experiments from 6 cats while the microelectrode was inserted into the reticular formation of medulla oblongata. The relationship between drowsy and electroacupunctu- re analgesia, however, is not understood clearly, and needs further studies.
摘要:Experiments were done With cats. The results showed that the nocice- ptive discharges of most neurons of nucleus Centralis Lateralis (CL) were attenuated when Somatosensory area II(S II) was stimulated. The same results were also found on the neurons after electroacupuncture at points. The result which is similar to what we have seen at Nucleus Centrum Medi- anum and Nucleus Parafesicular suggests that the descending regulation of S II on nucleus of intralamina is one way of central nervous system invo- lved in the inter-regulation of pain and analgesia.
