      摘要:From October 1990 to December 1995, the national cooperative neurosurgical acupuncture research group had already accumulated 100 clinical cases, consisting of 20 cases in deep site of brain, 80 cases in the functional region. By the same manipulative procedures and scaling criteria, the indication, choice of acupoints, stimulus parameters and adjuvants were studied. Practically, the results was not only reliable, but repetitive highly, 98% the chses belonged to grade Ⅰ(success). We suggest that acupuncture anesthesia should be used as one of the usual methods of anesthesia. In this paper, the relative specification of acupuncture, the rnechanism of methods for operation were discussed. In the meantime, the advantages and the remaining problems of acupuncture anesthesia in craniocerebral operations were also mentioned.

      摘要:73 cases of the posterior Atlanto-Axial Arthrodesis were performed under acupuncture anesthesia. The anesthesia effcts were satisfactory, the good and excellent rate was 80.0%.The patients were awake during the operation under acupuncture anesthesia, thus the injure of nerve can been avoided or decresased. During operation the patient's breathing and circulation function were stable.It is desirable that acupuncture anesthesia is used for the posterior Atlanto-Axial Arthrodesis.

      摘要:Forty-eight cases with benign gastric diseases were operated using acupuncture at Zusanli (ST 36) and Neiguan(PC 6) combined with epidural anesthesia of small dosage (group A, 39 cases ), and simple epidural anesthesia of small dosage (group B, 9 cases). The results show that the effect in the group A is better than that in the group B. Namely, the analgesia is stronger,the tractive reaction of internal organs is lighter, the abdominal rnuscles are tnore relaxed, the dosage of anesthetic is rnuch smaller and the physiological disturbance is less in the group A.

      摘要:For the purpose of understanding the antiobesity effect of acupuncture and it's influence on water and salt metabolisrn in the patients sufferring from simple obesity, we have obeserved the changes of symptoms and signs, obesity indices, blood sodium, blood potassium, mOsm of plasma and urinary aldosterone before and after acupuncture treatment in 75 patients with simple obesitv (42 cases with edema. 33 cases without edema). The results showed that the total effective rate of antiobesity treatrnent for one rnonth was 89. 3%. Before acupuncture the concentrations of blood sodium and aldosterone of the patients with edema were significantly higher than those of normal persons or the patients without edema, but the concentration of hlood potassium and rnOsm of plasma of the patients with edema were significantly lower than those of normal persons or the patients without ederna. After acupuncture treatment the concentrations of blood sodium and aldosterone decreased markedly and the concentration of blood potassiurn and mOsm of plasma increased rernarkably in the patients with edema. It indicated that acupuncture treatrnent not only had a good antiobesity effect,but also improved the water and salt metabolisrn of the patients with obesity by the regulation of nervous system and body fluid.

      摘要:The distribution of SP-like immunoreactivity in the sensory and syrnpathetic ganglia, as well as the fiber connection between sensory ganglia and sympathetic ganglia (SG) were studied by the immunohistochemical ABC and HRP methods. A large numberpf SP-like neurons were found in all dorsal root ganglia (DRG), and a large nurnber of SP-like fibers and terminals were found in both thoracic SG and coeliac-cranial rnesenteric ganglion complex (CCMG), but no SP positive perikaryons were seen in those ganglia. The various nerves connected with the CCMG have been cut, the results demonstrate that the SP immunoreactive material in the ganglion were only decreased obviously or disappeared by cutting the DRG associatd with the CCMG. After injecting HRP into T7-9 DRG, a few of labelled neurons were found in thoracic SG of the relative segments and CCMG. The results mentioned above revealed that SP-Containing fibers and terminals present in the SG come from collateral branches of primary sensory neurons in the DRG, the postganglionic fibers from principal ganglion neurons in the SG projecting to the DRG f the connection of reciprocal fibers are present between the DRG and the SG. It is suggested that a reflex shortloop outside the central nervous system may be formed directly by primary afferent neuron and sympathetic postganglidnic neuron for the purpose of regulating the activity of autonomic nervous system and, moreover the sympathetic nerve may have a feedback regulation function to the primary afferent. The results mentioned above offer the partial morphological testimony for the expoundity of acupuncture mechanism.

      摘要:In the present paper, influence of tnicroinjection of clonidine (Clon, 0. 38 mMol, 2μl) and yohirnbine (Yoh, 5. 1 mMol, 2μl) in rostral ventrolateral medulla (rVLM) on the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) at Neiguan (PC 6) was observed in the rabbit with acute myocardial ischemia. Results showed that (1) EA of Neiguan could significantly accelerate the recovery of AMI-induced changes in ECG ST-segement, mean blood pressure, left ventricular pressure (LVP) and dp/dt rnax; (2) Clon strengthened the effect of EA on ST and LVP in some degree;and (3) Yoh significantly weakened the effect of EA on ST and LVP. lt reveals that when α2 receptors of rVLM are excited, the favourable effect of EA in regulating post-ischemic myocardial electrical and rnechanical activity can be enhanced in some degree; and when they are inhibited,the effect of EA disappears, indicating an involvement of α2 receptors of rVLM in EA of Neiguaninduced regulation on the functional activity of the heart.

    • Observation on the Microstructure of Sanyinjiao Acupoint

      摘要:Method: Fresh adult lirnbs were divided into acupoint and control group. (1) H. E stain:(2) Cajal-Fauordky stain: (3) Lymph perfusion and section. Result:the sensery organs are multiple structures of nerves, blood and lymph etc. in the acupoint. There isn't significant difference (P>0.05) for innervation of nerve, blood and lymph between the acupoint and other part. But there are some big nerve trunk in the tissues of the acupoint that play a different role in the reaction of human body

      摘要:This study found that bilateral electrolytic lesions of the ventrolateral orbital cortex(VLO)markedly reduced the inhibitory effects of high intensity electroacupuncture (EA) at "Zusanli"point on tail flick reflex in lightly anesthetized rats, but did not influence the inhibitory effects of low intensity EA stimulation. The results show that the VLO is involved in acupuncture analgesia produced by activation of snlall afferent fibers with high intensity electroacupunture. Results of this study provide further support for a hypothesis that spinal cord-Sm-VLO-PAG-spinal cord may constitute a negative feedback loop of nociceptive rnodulation. The analgesic effects produced by high intensity electroacupuncture may be mediated by this loop leading to depression of the nociceptive inputs at the spinal cord level.

      摘要:Using electromagnetic flowmeter and Laser Coppler Microcirculatory flowmeter, we studied the effect of electrical acupuncture at Zusanli (ST 36) and Quchi (LI 11) on cerebral blood flow and pial microcirculatory blood flow in dogs. The results showed that the cerebral blood flow increased remarkably, while the cerebral vascular resistance (CUR) decreased 1 min. after the acupuncture start and 20, 30, 60, 90 min. after stopping of the stimulation, and the blood flow of the pial microvessels increased 1, 5, 10 min. after starting of acupuncture and 30 min. after stopping of the stimulation. It indicates that one of the mechanisms of treatment of cerebral vascular diseases with acupuncture is that acupuncture increases the cerebral blood flow and improve the pial microcirculation.

      摘要:1. 5 % Capsaicin (Cap) or Vehicle was respectively used to treat the right or left sciatic nerve in 20 Sprague-Dawley rats. On the seventh day, the 20 rats were at random divided into electroacupuncture (EA) group and non-EA group, the spinal cord corresponding to the afferent segments of sciatic nerve was taken out for observing the changes of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity and [3H]-quinuelidinylbenzylate (QNB) binding sites in the spinal dorsal horn (SDH). The results were as follows: (1) EA "Huantiao" could enhance AChE activity in the SDH and decrecase [3H]-QNB binding sites; (2) Cap treating sciatice nerve could weaken AChE activity in the SDH and merease [3H]-QNB binding sites; (3) Cap treatment could inhibit or partially inhibit the actions of EA as above. The results indicated that ACh participated in the primary afferent of acupuncture information and might exist in Cap-sensitive neurons.

      摘要:Using the method of recording the corresponding dorsal root action potentials evoked by stimulating the acupoints. we found that electro-acupuncture could not only expand the segmental of potentials. but also amplitude the potentials. The results proved the acupuncture sensation may be transsegmental afferent after acupuncture along the meridians. This study gave a new evidence for the mechanism's cxplanation of propagated sensation along the meridians.

      摘要:A model of the reducible movement of stomach in a big mouse was set up by injecting solution of 654-2. At first, the state of stomach movement was proved to be improved by acupuncture. After that,the activity of CaM in Zusanli point wirs lost by injecting TFP and effect of acupuncture on the stomach movement was studied. The result showed that the effect of acupuncture was abolished during manipulating the needles for 5 minutes. But retaining the needle for 25 minutes,the effect of acupuncture was recovered gradually. It indicates that the activity of Ca-CaM compounds may be of the key factor of acupuncture effect and one of the important links of the functional activity of meridians and collaterals.

      摘要:Northern Blot and hybrization in situ techniques were used to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on the changes of cholecystokinin (CCK) mRAN levels of the hippocampus in rat penicillin-induced epilepsy model. Epilepsy can significantly increase CCK mRNA levels in dentate gyrus and CA3 areas of hippocampus in diencephalic sections after penicillin-induced seizure,whereas EA not only can attenuate the seizure behaviors and EEG changes, but also can decrease the increase of CCK mRNA contents induced by the seizure. However, in the subiculum, dentate gyrus and CA3 areas of mesencephalic sections of rat hippocampus, EA can further increase the enhancement of CCK mRNA concentration induced by penicillin-induced seizure. The results suggest that EA inhibitory effects on the seizure's behaviors and epileptiform activities may be related to the alteration of CCK gene expression in the different area of hippocampus.

    • Studies on Anti-Inflammatory and Immune Effects of Moxibustion

      摘要:An animal model of adjuvant arthritis in rats was established. and the effccts of anti-inflammatory and immune regulation of moxibustion at "Shenshu" point were investigated. The results showed that i+ could lighten a local inflammatory reaction. eliminate swelling of the metatarsal and reduce it's girth, prevent or reduce the polyarthritises. maintain the weight and shorten the course of the disease. The results also showed that moxibustion could recover and promote the effects of the Concanavalin A (ConA) inducing splenic lymphocyte proliferation in rats, promote interleukin 2 (IL-2) production, decrease IL-1 contents. The indexes mentioned above were significantly different as compared with contral group. Above results indicated thpt moxibustion had directly anti-inflammatory and subsidence of swelling effects, through enhancing the ahility of immune response the immune functions were lightened and regulated. Therefore. the anti-inflammatory and immune and anti-allergy effects of body were enhanced.

      摘要:The aim of this work was to investigate the role of pituitory-adrenal system in the electroacupuncture modulating immune responses. We found that the multiple immune responses were declined in mice receiving cortisol ip. treatment, whereas it could be increased in mice of adrenalectomy.The IL-2,LTT contents declined by cortisol could be restored to normal levels by EA, however, the hemolytic antibody and hemoagglutinatirig antibody titer declined by cortisol were not affected by EA.In the adrenalectomized mice, except spleen LZM was declined, all the other immune parameters such as spleen PFC, IL-2, LTT, serum IgG and thymus LZM contents were increased. The EA could restore the declined spleen LZM in adrenalectomized mice to normal, but the other elevated immune parameters by adrenalectomy were not affected by EA, the immune levels were almost the same as that in the single adrenalectomy group.The above results indicate that pituitory-adrenal system may principally play an inhibitory effect in hte EA-modulating immune responses.

      摘要:The experimental results displayed that the cellular immune functions of tumor-bearing mice in control group were significantly lower than that the normal control group. The cellular immune functions of those groups acccpting moxibustion treatmcnt were maintained at a relatively higher level. Among them the Guanyuan group seemed to be best in immune regulation. The data further demonstrated that an instant elevation of serum ACTH and β-EP could be caused by moxibustion. But the bariations of scrum ACTH and β-EP are not paralleled. A remarkable increase of serum β-EP was seen in Guanyuan group but not of serum ACTH. The experimental results hinted that the regulation of β-EP and ACTH was related to the immune regulation induced by moxibustion.
