摘要:Research works for the effects of acupuncture on cortical evoked potentials were reviewed since 1970 in this article. As a result of the acupuncture anesthesia being applied widely in clinical operation,most of the studies were focused on the evoked potential of somatosensory cortex for elucidating the priciple of the analgesic effect of acupuncture, while less observations were reported on the aspects of auditory and visual cortex. The amplitude of the evoked potential was often used as an index in assessing the excitability of the cerebral cortex in the studies of the effect of acupuncture in the past. An increase in the amplitude of evoked potential means an excitory process of the cortex and a decrease means depression. Based on their work, the authors consider that whether the change in the amplitude of cortical evoked potential could be served as an optional index in reflecting the excitability of the cortex is still a problem in neurophysiology remained for further investigation

It is found that scalp therapy is able to speed up the blood flow of part artery, especially increase the even blood flow speed of MCA, ACA obviously (P < 0. 05), which preliminary shows the mechanism of scalp therapy for child cerebral atrophy meanwhile. 摘要:VIP, SS and PP which exist in gastrointestinal tract and CNS might be to play an important role in nervous system as neurotransmitters of neuromediaters. There have been a few of reports about their changes in plasma and CSF in ICVD. The effects of acupuncture, which was used in treatment of ICVD with good efficiency, on VIP, SS ans PP have not been known. For researching their changes in ICVD and effects of electro-acupuncture on them, and finding the mechanism of acupuncture in treatment of ICVD, the study was performed. The levels of VIP, SS and PP in 64 patients with acute cerebral infarction were deterrnined. The points of acupuncture were Quchi (LI 12 ), Waiguan (SJ 5), Huantiao (BG 30), and Zusanli(ST 36). The routine treatment included dextran, nicotinic acid, aspirin, dipyridamole and radix salviae miltiorrnizae composita. The CSF and blood were taken before the begining of treatments and alter a course of treatment. The levels of VIP, SS and PP were meassured by radioimmunoassay.Results showed the level of CSF VIP in the patients was significantly lower as compared with controls.The level of plasma SS in the patients was lower, but the difference was not significant as compared with controls, and level of plasma PP in the patients was significantly increased when it was compared with controls. After electro-acupuncture treatment, in patients with good efficiency, CSF VIP recovered to normal level and the levels of plasma and CSF SS were significantly increased. while the level of plasma PP had no significant change. The results suggest that acupuncture might regulate the disturbances of metabolism of VIP and SS in CNS
摘要:The authors observed the changes pf symptoms and signs, obesity index, lipid index (TC, TG,LDL-C, HDL-C), atherosclerosis in dex (AL), ratio of waist centimetre to hip centimetre (W. C/H.C), TXB2 and 6-Keto-PGF1α in 34 simple obesity patients complicated with hyperlipidemia before and after acupuncture so as to make clear the influence of acupuncture on pathogenic factors led up to circular diseases. The results showed that the marked weight loss effect was achieved in the cases by acupuncture, while the level of TC, TG,LDL-C, HDL-C, AI, W. C. /H. C, TXB2, 6-Keto-PGF1α in the patients were finely regulated. It suggests that the acupuncture treatment not only treated obesity and hyperlipidemia, but also resisted the pathogenic factors led up to circular diseases
摘要:By using spectrofluophotometry, it was observed that electroacupunture at "Huantiao"points of rat could derease the content of 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)and increase the content of 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA)in spinal cord.However ,the above effects of electroacupunture were obviously treduced after the C fibers of rats had been destroyed by capsaicin,which suggesting that capsaicinsensitive C fiber might take part in the roles of electroacupuncture's promoting the release and utilization of 5-HT in spinal cord
摘要:In order to probe into whether β-endorphin is involved in descending modu1ation of the somatosensory area(SⅡ)of the cerebral cortex on the nucleus centrum medianum(CM)of the thalamus and this mechanism of acupuncture analgesia, it Was investigated that effects of electrical stimulation of SⅡ and electroacupuncture on β-endorphin content in the perfusate from the nucleus CM.Adult cats were randomly divided into three groups: control, electroacupuncture and electrical stimulation of SⅡ. Push-pull perfusion technique was used to collect the perfusate from the nucleus CM β-endorphin contents in the perfusate were determined with radioimmunoassay.The results indicated that β-endorphin content in the perfusate was increased significantly by electrical stimulation of SⅡ and not by electroacupuncture, suggesting that the β-endorphin release from the nucleus CM was elevated by the stimulation of SⅡ and was not influenced by electroacupuncture. It is indicated that β-endorphin is possibly involved in the descending regulatory effect of electrical stimulation of SⅡ on the nucleus CM, but is not involved in the regulatory effect of electroacupuncture on the nucleus CM
摘要:The experiments were performed on the anesthetized rats. Single unit was recorded extracellularlly from the thalamic nucleus submedius (Sm) with glass micropipettes. The responses of Sm neurons were examined to electrical stimulation of the peroneal nerve and "Zusanli" point. The results show that most (81%) of the neurons in Sm responded to electrical stirnulation of the peroneal nerve with afferent C fiber excitation, and this response increased following increase of the stimulation intensity and pulse numbers. It was found that electrical stimulation of the "Zusanli" point could activate the Sm neuronal activities with higher intensity threshold compared to that of the peroneal nerve stimulation, and the response properties of Sm neurons to acupoint stimuli were similar to those to stimulation of peroneal nerve. These results provide support for the hypothesis that a negative feedback loop consisting of spinal cord-Sm-VLO-PAU-spinal cord responsible for nociceptive modulation is involved in acupuncture analgesia, especially in analgesia produced by electroacupuncture-evoked activation of the afferent C fibers
摘要:The results suggest that 3 hours after cerebral ischemia, the P1- N1 amplitudes of the somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) of the cerebral coriex decrease significantly by the stimulation of cerebrum, while the latency period of both wave P1 and P2 prolonged; 2 hours later, the abnormal data of SEP have not any improvement. These suggest that the post-ischemic cortex and subcortical neurons were injured permanently by a substantial lesions from reperfusional injuries. Cerebral tissue histologic studies show that the infarcted focus locates in caudate nucleus and lateral cortex of cerebral hemisphere. But after electric acupunctrue at Huantiao at the late stage of cerebral ischemia of rats, the abnormal data of SEP show better recoveries and manintains till 2 hours after reperfusion, and even near to that of the normal rat. All of them suggest acupunctrue is effective obviously for ischemic injury of cerebral ussue, and possesses a presetting protection for reperfusional injury of cerebral tissue. So it is concluded that the efficacy of acupuncture results frtm its comprehensive and optimal regulation function to multisystem of the whole body
摘要:The experiments were carried out on rats, anesthetized with urethan and paralyed with tubocuraine. Stainless steel needles were inserted into bilateral "Zusanli" points. The unit discharges of RVM neurons were recorded extracellalarly by microelectrode. The searching of nociceptive neurons and processing of data were operated automatically by a real time control system. The results were as follow:1. The pain response of excitatory neurons could be inhibited by 2Hz EA (n = 15/22, P< 0.01),the mean inhibition rate was 32. 40%.2. The inhibitory effects of 2Hz were completely blocked by naloxone pretreated (n = 5/5, P< 0.01).3. The pain response of excitatory neurons could be inhibited by 10Hz EA(n = 10/ 13, P<0. 01),the mean inhibition rate was 49. 06%.4. The inhibitory effects of 10Hz EA were partially blocked by naloxone pretreated (n = 5/5, P<0.01).5. Both 2Hz and 10Hz EA could enhance the spontaneous discharges of excitatory neurons in RVM, and the percentage of change in the frequency was 62. 45% and 112. 02 % respectively.6. Neither 2Hz nor 10Hz EA could obviously influence the spontaneous activity of inhibitory neurons in RVM.The results suggest that both 2Hz and 10Hz EA could activate excitatory neurons in RVM, which may suppress nociceptive transmission via opioid mechanism
摘要:C57BL mice were treated with MPTP and the effect of acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatment on the MPTP-lesioned C57BL mice was investigated.The result showed that MPTP significantly decreased caudate nucleus(CN)DA and DOPAC levels and midbrain DA levels. The ratio of DOPAC/DA increased in CN. After treatment, CN and midbrain DA levels increased in acupuncture, Chinese medicine, acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine and LD treated groups. DOPAC/DA ratio of acupuncture, Chinese medicine and acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine treated groups closed to that of control. DOPAC/DA ratio of LD treated groups closed to that of only MPTP treated group.The result showes that acupuncture, Chinese medicine and LD therapy can increase the decreased DA levels in MPTP mice, and DOPAC/DA ration in CN of acupuncture, Chinese medicine treated groups closed to that of control, suggesting that acupuncture and Chinese medicine therapy may have protection effect on neuron that different from the replacement therapy of LD
摘要:The spinal cords of adult cats were injured at about L1 level by using Allen's method and the animals were divided randomly into 2 groups . a) electro-acupuncture treatment group and b) control group. The acid phosphatase (ACP) was detected at 3 and 7 days after spinal cord injury. The more ACP positive labelings were found in the treatment group than in the control group at both 3 (P<0.05 )and 7 days (P< 0.01) after injury. The results suggested that electro-acupuncture could increase the concentration of ACP of the injured spinal cord and the increased ACP concentration could make worse to the injured spinal cord at early time and improve regeneration during recovery perlod
摘要:The experiment was performed to observe the segmental distribution of sensory afferent nerves in acupoints and the influence of electroacupuncture(EA) along meridians on it. 1% CB-HRP solution (5μl) was injected subcutaneously at unilateral"Zusanli"or"Ruzhong"acupoint of rats. The HRP labeled cells were counted in the related spinal dorsal root ganglia(DRG). The results were as follows: the sensory nerve terminals of "Zusanli"acupoint mainly projected to the neurons of L4 and L5 DRG and that of "Ruzhong" acupoint proected to the neurons of T4、T5 and T6 DRG;sensory nerve terminals of "Zusanli" or "Ruzhong"acupoint were activated by the EA stimulation along meridians, their ability of uptaking HRP was enhanced, so the HRP labeled cells increased in the related DRG, the HRP labeled DRG segments spread. This study provides a new morphological evidence for the mechanism's explanation of propagated sensation along the meridians
摘要:The past experiment showed that there was a specific change of H+ concentration in Neiguan (PC6) of the rabbit suffering from arrhythmia induced by aconitine. When arrhythmia appeared, th ecocentration of H+ in Neiguan (PC 6) increase4 obviously. The authors found that it happened not only in the regular points but also along the course of the Heart Meridian and Pericardium Meridian in the furthe study and research. This may mean that on the course of the corresponding meridian there is a specific change of H+ concentration when the Zang-fu organs are in dysfunctional. But the mechanism and biological significance of the change of H+ concentration should remain to be further studied
摘要:The splenic sinuses, lymphocytes and antigen presenting cells in the spleen of rat stimulated by He-Ne laser acupuncture were observed by using TEM to investigate the ultrastructural changes of them.The width of endothelial interstice was increased, hence a lot of blood cells oozed out of the splenic sinuses. There were numerous activated T cells which contained abundant mitochondria and ribosome in the periarterial lymphatic sheaths. The B cells were gradually differentiated into large lymphocytes, immature and mature plasmatic cells with a lot of endoplasmic reticula. They were prominently increased in the splenic nodules. The macrophages had short processes with numerous folds and microvilli and tended to neighboring lymphocytes. The nucleus pores were increased. There were a lot of vacuoles, phagosome and mitochondria were closed to macrophages and lymphocytes. In conclusion the activities of the cellular immunity and humoral immunity were enhanced by laser
