摘要:The present study aimed to investigate whether NMDA and non-NMDA receptors in the caudate nucleus (Cd) were involved in SmI originating descending modulation on neurons in parafascicular nucleus (Pf) in acupuncture analgesia. It was found that after bilateral microinjection of D-AP5 and DNQX, the antagonist of NMDA and non-NMDA receptors respectively, into the head of Cd the inhibitory effect of conical excitation induced by glutamate application at SmI was obviously diminished, compared with that in the saline control group (ANOVA, P < 0. 05 ). In addition, the inhibitory effect of electro-acupuncture (EA) on nociceptive responses of neurons in Pf was also significantly attenuated by microinjection of DNQX, but not by that of D-APS. The attenuation was also significant statistically (ANOVA, P < 0. 05 ). It is indicated that both NMDA and non-NMDA receptors in Cd are involved in SmI originating descending modulation on nociceptive responses of neurons in Pf. Besides, non-NMDA receptors also participate in EA-induced inhibition on nociceptive responses of neurons in Pf.
摘要:This study was undertaken to evaluate the analgesic effect of electrical lesion of mesencephalon tractus spinothalamicus and nucleus centralis thalamus with tail stimulation-vocalization test and tailflick latency. The difference of the pain threshold between pre-lesion and post-lesion was significant(P <0. 001 ). The results suggest that electrical lesion of mesencephalon tractus spinothalamicus and nucleus centralis thalamus produce an analgesic effect.
摘要:It was observed the effects of intracerebroventricular (i. c. v. ) injection of naloxone and anti- opi- oid peptide sera on the analgesia and the enhancement of electroacupuncture (EA ) analgesia caused by somatostatin (SS) in this study. Injection(i. c. v. ) of naloxone could block partly the analgesia and the enhancement of electroacupuncture(EA) analgesia caused by SS, which suggested that analgesia and the enhancement of EA analgesia caused by SS might be related to endogenous opiate peptides (EOP). After injection (i. c. v. ) of anti-beta-endorphin serum(AEPS), anti-fen-enkephalin serum(ALEKS), anti-dynorphin A1-13 serum(ADYNS) respectively, it was found that AEPS and ALEKS could reduce the effect of SS on analgesia and EA analgesia, but ADYNS failed to have any effect. AEPS could stronger reduce the effect of SS on analgesia but ALEKS has a stronger action to reduce the effect of SS on EA analgesia. Those results implied that the role of SS in analgesia and enhancing EA analgesia was related with beta-endorphin and enkephalin, but not dynorphin in the central nervous system.
摘要:Normal SD rats were stimulated for a period of time with electro-acupuncture and then were killed. The ventral mesencephalic regions of the rats were excavated to prepare the crude extracts, which, afterwards, were added into the primary mesencephalic neurons in culture. An immunocytochemical staining was performed to detect the dopaminergic neuron on the 5th and the 10th day respectively in vitro, and the average expression number of the positive neurons in each well was counted, the diameter of the cell body and the length of the neurite were measured in each group. The results indicated that the crude extracts made from the ventral mesencephalic regions of rats stimulated with electro-acupuncture could promote the development of cell body and the growth of the neurite but had no effect on the expression number of dopaminergic neurons. It is suggested that the results might be probably related to the effect of electro-acupuncture in stimulating the release or secretion of some potential neurotrophic factors in the ventral mesencephalic region.
摘要:The aim of this paper was to observe the projections of NOS positive neurons to the hippocampus from septal area. The projections were retrograde traced by combined method of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and nicotinamide adenosine dinucleotide phosphate diaphorase (NADPH-d) in rats. After injecting of HRP into the dorsal hippocampus, the ventral hippocampus or the posterior part of hippocampus, the HRP-NOS double labeling neurons were distributed in the medial septal nucleus, the dorsal and ventral parts of ventical limb of diagonal band nucleus. The hippocampus received the projections of NOS positive neurons from the septal area, the number of septo-hippocampal projections of NOS positive neurons were about 1/3 of the total number of septo-hippocampal projections.
摘要:In order to research the relation between PVN and the effects of needling "Shenshu", we studied c-fos expressions in PVN of rats induced by electroacupuncture and acupuncture at the right "Shenshu" using immunohistochemistry. The results show that densities of FLN in PVN are significantly differ- ent (P < 0. 01, all), the electroacupuncture group > the acupuncture group > the control group > the normal group; the stimuli side of electroacupuncture group > the non-stimuli side of electroacupuncture group >the non-stimuli side of acupuncture group > the stimuli side of acupuncture group. The results indicate that PVN takes part in the effecting process of needling "Shenshu" and the degree of PVN taking pat in the effecting change depends on different ways and amount of stimuli. It is also indicated that the difference showed by the experiments may be one important link of different effects induced by different needling method and different effects between two sides induced by needling on one side.
摘要:68 Sprague-Dawley rats were prepared to acute, incomplete cerebral ischemia by cutting off bilateral carotid arteries, and the animal models of vascular dementia(VD) were made. Then they were divided randomly into ischemic group(Isch, 34 cases)and electroacupunture group(EA, 34 cases). In our study, we respectively detected the amount of autonomic activity, the response ability of learning escape dark, the contents of blood superoxide dismutase(SOD), blood cortisol, norepinephrine(NE), dopamine (DA), 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) in cortex, striatum, hippocampus and hypathalamus. Results: the amount of autonomic activity, the response ability of learning escape dark, SOD in Isch and EA group decreased significantly (P < 0. 001) as compared with the control group (35 cases), but those in EA group were much higher than those in Isch group (P < 0. 05-0.01 ). Conclusion: Electroacupuncture can promote the amount of autonomic activity and the response ability of learning escape dark in the animal model of VD, which closely related with improving the cerebral circulation, enhancing the ability of SOD, cortisol, NE, DA and 5-HT.
摘要:In this research, we observed the effects of the "Tiao Shen Yi Zhi" acupuncture method on the behavior changes of multi-infarct dementia(MID) model rats. The results show that MID rats manifest the disorder in learning and memory. The "Tiao Shen Yi Zhi" acupuncture method could obviously improve the ability of learning and memory of MID rats which was in prevention group. The effects of the acupuncture has point specificity.
摘要:The changes of sciatic nerve Na+ -K+ /ATPase activity in diabetic rats were detected by neurobiochemical methods to analyse the therapeutic effects of EA. Results: 1 ). In the first batch of experiment, the sciatic nerve Na+ -K+ /ATPase activity of diabetic group (DM) decreased significantly at the 6th week(P < 0. 05) and 10th week(P < 0. 001 ) compared with the normal (ND) group. While in the EA group the Na+ -K+ /ATPase activity did not decrease at the 6th week (compared with DM group, P < 0. 05), and decreased significantly at the 10th week (withdrawing treatment for 4 weeks, P < 0. 01 ), but which was less severe than that in the DM group (P < 0. 05 ). 2) In the second batch of experiment, the Na+ -K+ /ATPase activity of the DM group began to decrease at the end of 4th week (P >0. 05 ), and decreased significantly at the end of 8th, 12th and 24th week (P < 0. 001, respectively) compared with the ND group. In the EA group (treated with EA for 24 weeks) Na+ -K+ / ATPase activity had no significant decrease at each time point, having a significant high value at the end of sib, 12th and 24th week compared with that in the DM group (P < 0. 001, respectively). These results suggest that EA can prevent and treat the neuropathy by protection against the decreasing of Na+ -K+ /ATPase activity. The mechanisms of EA influencing on the Na+ -K + /ATPase activity were discussed in this paper.
摘要:In this paper, we have studied the effect of medicinal vesiculation on the hematopoietic function and its mechanism in mice treated by Cyclophosphamide (CTX). The results show that CTX can cause serious bone marrow inhibition of mouse, decrease significantly the number of karyocyte of bone marrow and WBC and the production ability of GM-CSF by abdominal cavity macrophage. Medicinal vesiculation or moxibustion of wheat grain form on "Dazhui", "Shenshu" and "Zusanli" has significant effect on bone marrow inhibition caused by chemotherapy. It can promote bone marrow cell proliferation, increase the number of karyocyte of bone marrow and WBC significantly. It can also strengthen abdominal cavity macrophage cell to produce GM-CSF. Furthermore, we discussed the nerve-endocrine-immune machanism of the effect of medicinal vesiculation.
摘要:The model of adjuvant arthritis in the rat was established to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of the moxibustion at "Shenshu"(BL 23)point and its effects on several inflammatory mediators. The result showed that the moxibustion alleviated the inflammatory reaction and significantly reduced the level of the chemical inflammatory mediator(Hm, 5-HT) and the inflammatory cytokine (TNF, IL-1β) (P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01. comparing with control group). It indicates that the therapy can inhibit the formation and release of the chemical inflammation mediator and inflammatory cytokine in inflammatory cells, alleviate or stop inflammatory reaction, dissipate blood stasis and relieve the swelling, prevent and cure delayed polyarthritis, and thus it can produce an anti-inflammatory effect.
摘要:The ultra vessel structure of Zusanli point and non-point zone were observed with the method of ABS vessel cast form under electronic microscope. The observation proved that the ultra structures and their distributions of the vessel of Zusanli point and non-point zone were different. The observation leads to the conclusion that the trend and distribution of vessel in the point zone play an important role. The ultra stereostructure in point zone is one of the basic forms of points in producing effects.
摘要:In this article, we selected the points on the head and those of Du Meridian as the major acupoints, while the well points and the points on the hemiplectic side as the adjunct acupoints to observe the role of the combined therapy of electroacupuncture (EA ), swift puncture and seven-star needling on apoplexy. The result showed that the rheological parameters were significantly superior to that of pretreatment(P < 0.05-0.01 ). The total effective rate of the combined therapy treating apoplexy reached 88. 8 percent.
摘要:60 cerebrovascular accident (CAV) patients were divided into experimental group and control group. Each group had 30 CAV patients. There was no significant difference between the two groups in their age, sex, education, course of disease or affected side. Along with the routine therapy of acupuncture, rehabilitation training and clinical pharmacotherapy, some special points such as Sishencong, Tougli, Benshen, Shenting, Zhaohai, Shesanzhen etc. were selected for the acupuncture in the experimental group. And the cognitive test which was formulated by Huang Dengfeng was used to estimate the efficacy of acupuncture on the cognition of the early stroke patients. The results showed that after 3 to 4 months' treatment, the cognition of the experimental group was improved much better than that of the control group (P < 0. 01 ). Hence it is believed that acupuncturing some special points can obviously increase the cognitive scores of the early stroke patients.
摘要:70 cases of cervical spondylosis patients were randomly divided into electric acupuncture at Jiaji acupoint group and control group. All the patients were treated once a day, 10 times as a course, and lasting for two course. The Simplified McGill Pain Questionnaire was used to measure cervical, shoulder and arm pain of two group patients before and after acupuncture. The clinical effects of two groups were also compared. Results: there are significant differences before and after treatment between EA at Jiaji acupoints group and regular points group in the number of words chosen, total PRI, sensory PRI, PPI(present pain intensity) and VAS (visual analogue acale) by Simplified McGill Pain Questionnaire. There is a significant difference in clinical cure rate between two groups too. But in different pathologic pattern the clinical effects have no significant difference. This result suggests EA at Jiaji acupoint group has better analgesia and clinical effects than regular point group.
摘要:The authors selected Yangbai, Sibal, Yuyao, Jingming, Cuanzhu, Sizhukong, Tongziliao, Qiuhou, Chengqi as primary points, and Taiyang, Fengchi, Hegu as secondary ones according to the paralyzed ocular muscles to treat 68 cases with various kinds of ocular paralysis by electro-acupuncture (except Jingming, Chengqi and Qiuhou). 46 cases were cured, 12 were markedly efffective, 6 improved and 4 unchanged. The total effective rate was 94. 1 %. The therapeutic effect was related with the seventy of the neurodegeneration, the etiology and duration of the disease, but had no relation with the degree of the strabismus.
摘要:We have adopted ginger-separated moxibustion to treat 2112 cases of cough and asthma on dog days. Of them, 601 cases were cured, accounting for 28. 4 %, 812 cases markedly effective (38. 4 % ),570 cases improved (27. 1 % ) and 129 cases ineffective (6. 1 % ). The total effective rate was 93. 9 %.
摘要:In the present study, 90 cases of diabetes melitus-induced peripheral neuropathy were divided into acupuncture(Yishu, Shenshu, Mingmen, etc. ) + medicine group (n = 45 ) and medicine control group (n = 45). Aner one course of treatment, in the acupuncture + medicine group, 31 cases (68. 89% ) had marked improvement, 13 cases (28. 89 % ) were effective, 1 case (2. 22 % ) was ineffective, with the total effective rate being 97. 78 %; in the control group, 15 cases (33. 33 % ) were effective and 10 cases (22. 23 % ) were ineffective, with the total effective rate being 77. 77 %. Statistical analysis suggests that the therapeutic effect of acupuncture + medicine group is significantly superior to that of medicine control group (P < 0. 01 ).
摘要:The theory of channels and collaterals is one of the important components of traditional Chinese medicine, in which the correlationship of channels and collaterals with viscera serves as a guidance of acupuncture in clinical practice. However, for quite a long period this correlationship had not attracted enough attention in the study of channels and collaterals, until recent years a growing number of scholars came to regard it as the focus or core in their study and try to explore the relative mechanism involved. According to the author, a major breakthrough may likely be achieved in the study of meridian doctrine to reveal the essence of channels and collaterals regulating the mechanism of human body if research and investigation are carried on in the following important aspects: longitudinal study with channels and collaterals as the principal; transversal study with viscera as the principal; study of the correlation between exterior and interior in channels, collaterals, and viscera; and study of the connection of the back-shu points with the relative internal organs.
