      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of moxibustion on Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription(JAK-STAT)pathway of synovial cells in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)rabbits for revealing the underlying mechanism of moxibustion in the treatment of RA.Methods:A total of 30 rabbits(Japanese Big-ear White species)were randomized(stratified random)into control,model and moxibustion groups with 10 cases in each.RA model was established by injection of Freund's Complete Adjuvant(FCA,0.5 mL/kg)into the animal's bilateral joint cavities.Moxibustion was applied to bilateral “Shenshu”(BL 23),5 cones every time,once daily(except Sundays),3 weeks altogether.The synovial tissue of joint was sampled for analyzing the expression of signal molecules associated with JAK-STAT pathway with gene chip and bioinformation analytical techniques.Results:Compared with normal control group,the perimeters of both knee joints in model group increased significantly from the 3rd day to 21st day after injection of FCA(P<0.01),while compared with model group,those in moxibustion group decreased considerably from the 6th day on(P<0.05,0.01).In comparison with control group,JAK-STAT pathway-associated genes with up-regulated expression in model group were C/EBP beta,CBP,CRP,GATA3,IFNAR1,IFNAR2,IFNGR2,IL-10Rb,INDO,SH2B,STAT3,STAT6,JAK3 and GP130,and those with down-regulated expression were A2M,MIG and IL-2Rr,sugges-ting an abnormal activation of JAK-STAT pathway;while in comparison with model group,the related gene up-regulated in moxibustion group in the expression was IL22R and those down-regulated were Cyclin D1,C/EBP beta,CRP,GATA3,IFNAR2,INDO,JAK2,JAK3,V-JUN,STAT3,STAT5,SH2B and OSM,showing that moxibustion had an apparent inhibitory effect on AR-induced abnormal activation of some genes as C/EBP beta,GATA3,IFNAR2,INDO,etc..Conclusion:Moxibustion can resist inflammation and eliminate swelling in RA rabbits,which may be closely with its effect in inhibiting abnormal activation of JAK-STAT pathway in synovial cells.

      摘要:Objective:To study the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on changes of aquaporin-4(AQP4)expression in rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(CI/R).Methods:One hundred and seventy male Sprauge-Dawley rats were randomized into control(n=50),CI/R model(n=60)and EA(n=60)groups,and the later 2 groups were further divided into 6 h,12 h,24 h,48 h and 72 h subgroups,with 12 cases in each.CI/R model was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO).EA(3.85/6.25 Hz,0.8-1.0 mA)was applied to “Shuigou”(GV 26)and “Baihui”(GV 20)for 30 min.Transcardial perfusion was conducted with normal saline+paraformaldehyde in rats of different groups for taking brain tissue samples.The degree of brain edema was detected by cresyl violet stain method,permeability of the blood-brain barrier(BBB)reflected with IgG value in brain tissue was displayed by immunohistochemistry,and AQP4 protein and mRNA expression of corpora striata(CS)were detected by using immunohistochemistry(ABC)and RT-PCR techniques respectively.Results:Twelve hours after CI/R,the hemisphere of brain began to get swelling significantly and the exosmose state of IgG became evidently;compared with the corresponding phases of model group,the swell rates in 24 h,48 h and 72 h subgroups of EA group were significantly lower(P<0.05,0.01),and nearly no IgG immunoreaction positive products were found in different phases of EA group.The expres-sion of AQP4 protein and mRNA increased significantly from 12 h and 24 h on separately in model group,while the expression in EA group was markedly weaker.The ratios of AQP4 mRNA and β-actin mRNA of CS on the affected side of the brain from 24 h to 72 h of EA group were significantly lower than those of model group(P<0.05,0.01).Conclusion:EA can reduce the degree of brain edema induced by CI/R and improve the degree of!BBB injury,which may be related to its effect in down-regulating AQP4 expression.

      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on learning and memory impairment and cytokines of hippocampus in aging rats induced by D-galactose for exploring its underlying mechanism in the treatment of dysmnesy.Methods:A total of 27 SD rats were randomly divided into control group(n=9),model group(n=8)and EA group(n=10).Dysmnesy model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose.EA(3 Hz,continuous waves,1 mA)was applied to “Baihui”(GV 20)and “Zusanli”(ST 36)for 20 min every time and on alternate days,continuously for 21 days.Morris water maze tests were conducted to detect the rat's escape latency,percentage of swimming distance in the original platform quadrant and the total distance(SD/TD)and the percentage of swimming time in the platform quadrant after removal of the platform(spatial probe test)which were used for assessing the animals' learning and memory ability.The contents of IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α in the hippocampus tissue were assayed by radioimmunoassay.Results:Location navigation test showed that the escape latencies on the 2nd day and the 3rd day in model group were significantly longer than those of control group(P<0.05),and the percents of SD/TD and swimming time in the platform quadrant were significantly lower than those of control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).In comparison with model group,the escape latency of EA group on the 3rd day was significantly shorter(P<0.05),and the percent of SD/TD in the platform quadrant of EA group was significantly longer(P<0.01).Compared with control group,IL-1β and TNF-α contents in the hippocampus increased significantly in model group(P<0.05,P<0.01),while IL-6 content in model group decreased significantly(P<0.01).In comparison with model group,the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α in EA group decreased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:EA can improve the learning-memory ability in dysmnesy rats,which may be closely associated with its effects in regulating the levels of cytokines in the hippocampus.

      摘要:Objective:To compare the therapeutic effects of acupuncture,medication and acupoint catgut-embedding in the treatment of depression.Methods:A total of 60 adult SD rats were randomly divided into normal,model,medication,acupuncture and catgut embedding groups,with 12 cases in each group.Depression model was duplicated by abrosia,abstinence of water,tail-clipping,swimming in cool water,electrical shock stimulation,etc continuously for 21 days.For rats of medication group,intrgastric administration of Fluoxetine hydrochloride(2 mg/kg)was performed;for those of acupuncture group,“Baihui”(GV 20),“Xinshu”(BL 15)and “Ganshu”(BL 17)were punctured and stimulated manually for 30 s.The treatment in the abovementioned 2 groups was carried out once daily,21 days altogether.For those of catgut embedding group,a piece of sterilized catgut(gauge-0,0.5 cm long)was implanted into the subcutaneous tissue of the acupoints(GV 20,BL 15 and BL 17),once every week,3 times altogether.Changes of behavior(locomotor activity,crossing and rearing movement)were detected with open-field test,and sucrose consumption in 24 h was recorded.Results:Compared with normal group,the times of crossing and rearing movement in model group decreased significantly from the 7th day on after modeling,as well as sucrose consumption in 24 h decreased significantly from the 14th day on(P<0.05,0.01),while in comparison with model group,the times of crossing and rearing movement increased significantly on the 14th day in acupuncture and catgut embedding groups and 21st day on all the 3 treatment groups(P<0.05,0.01);correspondingly,sucrose consumption in 24 h increased considerably from the 14th day on in catgut embedding group and on the 21st day in acupuncture and catgut embedding groups(P<0.05,0.01).There were no significant differences among 3 treatment groups in the locomotor activity and sucrose consumption 21 days after the treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Administration of Fluoxetine hydrochloride,acupuncture and catgut embedding all can improve the depression rats' locomotor behavior and sucrose solution consumption in 24 h.Thus acupoint catgut embedding method may be applicable in clinical treatment of depression.

      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on serum nitric oxide(NO)and plasma endothelin(ET)contents in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(CI/R)rats.Methods:Fifty-five SD rats were evenly randomized into sham-operation(sham-op),model,EA,acupoint-control(acu-con)and non-acupoint(non-acu)-con groups.CI/R model was produced by occlusion of the basilar artery and bilateral common carotid arteries and reperfusion.EA(10 Hz,1.5-3 V,duration of 0.6 ms)was applied to left “Jianyu”(LI 15),“Waiguan”(TE 5),etc.for EA group,left “Qinglengyuan”(TE 11),“Lingdao”(HT 4),etc.for acu-con(being not used for CI in clinic)group,and the mid-points between left “Tianquan”(PC 2)and “Quze”(PC 3),PC3 and “Ximen”(PC 4),etc.for non-acu-con group.Carotid venous blood was collected 30 min after CI and after CI/R respectively for analyzing serum NO content with nitrate reductase(NR)method and plasma ET content with radioimmunoassay,and the brain was taken for detecting its water content and Ca2+ content with flame atomic absorption method.Results:Compared with sham-op group,serum NO contents of model group 30 min after CI and CI/R,that of EA group 30 min after CI,acu-con group 30 min after CI/R decreased significantly(P<0.05),and plasma ET content of model group 30 min after CI/R increased considerably(P<0.05).While compared with model group,serum NO content of EA group 30 min after CI/R increased significantly(P<0.05)and plasma ET of EA group decreased significantly(P<0.05).Serum NO level of acu-con group 30 min afterCI/R was markedly lower than that of EA group at the same time course.In comparison with sham-op group,Ca2+ contents of model group and acu-con group and water cntent ratio of the brain tissue of model group increased significantly(P<0.05),while compared with model group,Ca2+ content of EA group decreased remarkably(P<0.05),and Ca2+ of acu-con group was significantly higher than that of EA group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between acu-con and non-acu-con groups in the aforementioned indexes(P>0.05).Conclusion:EA of commonly-used acupoints can revise CI/R induced decrease in serum NO level and increase in plasma ET and cerebral Ca2+ significantly at the early period of CI/R,which may contribute to its favorable effects in the treatment of CI.

      摘要:Objective:To study the mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA)in treating ischemic cerebrovascular disease.Methods:Reversible cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(CI/R)model of rats was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery and reperfusion.Sixty-three Wistar rats were randomized into sham-operation,CI-2 h/R-1 h,CI-2 h/R-1 h+EA,CI-2 h/R-3 h,CI-2 h/R-3 h+EA,CI-2 h/R-6 h,CI-2 h/R-6 h+EA groups with 9 cases being in each group.EA(4/60 Hz in frequency,2 mA)was applied to “Shuigou”(GV 26),“Zhongchong”(PC 9)and “Fengfu”(GV 16)for 15 min.After decapitation,the rats' brain tissue was collected for detecting superoxide dismutase(SOD)activity and malondialdehyde(MDA)content by using nitroblue tetrazolium hydroxylamine method and thiobarbituric barbiturate reaction method separately.HSP70 expression was measured by immunohistochemical technique.Results:Compared with sham-operation group,SOD activity in CI-2 h/R-1 h,CI-2 h/R-3 h and CI-2 h/R-6 h groups decreased obviously(P<0.01),and MDA contents in these 3 CI/R groups increased obviously(P<0.01),while compared with their corresponding CI/R groups,SOD activity increased considerably and MDA contents lowered apparently in the CI-2 h/R-1 h+EA,CI-2 h/R-3 h+EA and CI-2 h/R-6 h+EA groups(P<0.05,0.01).HSP70 expression presented a marked increase tendency in the 3 CI/R groups and after EA the expression increased further.Conclusion:EA can raise SOD activity,lower MDA content in the brain tissue and enhance HSP70 expression in CI/R rats.

      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture on learning and memory ability in rats with cognition impairment due to diabetes mellitus(DM)and cerebral ischemia(CI)/reperfusion injury(CI/RI).Methods:A total of 87 female Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:normal control,CI,DM+sham-CI,DM+CI and DM+CI+acupuncture(Acup).DM model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin(60 mg/kg),and 3 days later CI/RI was duplicated by occlusion of the bilateral carotid arteries and reperfusion in the same rats.“Baihui”(GV 20),bilateral “Sanyinjiao”(SP 6),“Pishu”(BL 20),or GV20,bilateral “Shenshu”(BL 23)and “Zusanli”(ST 36)were punctured alternatively with filiform needles and stimulated manually.On day 10 and 30 after CI,the rats' learning-memory ability was detected by using step-down passive and active avoidance tests or Morris water maze test.At the end of the experiments,the animals anesthetized under 12% urethane(1 g/kg)were transcardially perfused with PBS fluid containing 4% paraform for sampling the brain tissue containing hippocampus region which was cut into sections(40 μm)and stained with hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)method for observing morphological changes of the hippocampus under light microscope.Results:After electrical shock stimulation,the latencies of step-down passive avoidance in DM+CI group at 15 min and 24 h shortened significantly in comparison with control,CI,DM+sham-CI and DM+CI+Acup groups(P<0.05,0.01).Compared with DM+CI group,the avoidance latency of DM+CI+Acup increased significantly(P<0.05).In active avoidance test,the training times for rats to learn making active avoidance reaction in DM+CI group were significantly more than those in DM+sham-CI,CI and DM+CI+Acup groups(P<0.001),the active avoidance correction rate of DM+CI group decreased significantly in comparison with the other 4 groups(P<0.01),while these two indexes of DM+CI+Acup group were markedly superior to those of DM+CI group(P<0.05).In comparison with DM+CI group,the percentages of swimming time and swimming distance in original platform quadrant vs total time and distance in DM+CI+Acup group were significantly higher(P<0.05).Microscopic observation showed that the neuronal loss in the CA1 of the hippocampus was milder in DM+CI+Acup group than that in DM+CI group.These results displayed that in DM+CI rats,the cognitive ability declined signif-icantly and neural injury of the brain tissue was definite,and acupuncture had a favorable effect on the animals' changes of behavior and cerebral morphology.Conclusion:Acupuncture therapy can ameliorate the learning-memory ability in rats withDM+CI.

      摘要:Objective:To investigate the effect of warm-reinforcing needling(WRN)on serum lipid metabolism in hyperlipoidemia(HL)rabbits.Methods:A total of 32 rabbits were randomly and evenly divided into control group,WRN group,model group and uniform reinforcing-reducing needling(URRN)group.HL model was established by feeding the rabbits with hyper-cholesterol and high-fat forage continuously for 7 weeks.For rabbits of WRN and URRN groups,“Zusanli”(ST 36),“Sanyinjiao”(SP 6),“Xuehai”(SP 10)were punctured and stimulated manually with WRN and URRN techniques respectively,once daily,continuously for 7 weeks.At the end of experiments,blood samples were collected from the heart,and centrifuged for detecting serum total cholesterol(TC)triglyceride(TG)and high density lipoprotein(HDL)with enzyme method,and platelet aggregation rate(PAR)with an intelligent blood agglutometer.Low density lipoprotein(LDL)=TC-(HDL+TG/2.2).Results:Compared with normal control group,serum TC,TG and LDL contents in model group,WRN and URRN groups increased significantly(P<0.01),and HDL content of model group decreased considerably(P<0.01);while in comparison with model group,serum TC,LDL and TG contents of WRN and URRN groups decreased considerably(P<0.01),and serum HDL levels of WRN and URRN groups increased significantly(P<0.01).Serum TC content of WRN group was markedly lower than that of URRN group(P<0.05),and HDL of WRN group was remarkably higher than that of URRN group(P<0.01).In comparison with normal control group,1 min,5 min and maximum PARs in model,WRN and URRN groups increased significantly(P<0.01),while in comparison with model group,1 min,5 min and maximum PARs of WRN and URRN groups decreased considerably(P<0.01).In addition,1 min and maximum PARs in WRN group were markedly lower than those in URRN group(P<0.05).Light microscopic observation showed that the apoptotic foam cells in the lipid plaque of aorta wall in model group appeared and were obviously more than those of WRN and URRN groups.Conclusion:Acupuncture can effectively lower serum TC,LDL and TG levels,raise serum HDL content,and suppress platelet aggregation,and the therapeutic effect of WRN is significantly superior to that of URRN,which may contribute to the action of acupuncture in regulating blood lipid and inhibiting the formation of atheromatous plaque.

      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on synovia IL-1β and TNF-α contents in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods:A total of 40 New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into control,model,massage and EA groups.KOA model was established by gypsum fixing method.EA(2 Hz,1-3 mA)was applied to left “Xiyan”(EX-LE 5),“Yanglingquan”(GB 34),“Xuehai”(SP 10),“Zusanli”(ST 36)and “Liangqiu”(ST 34)for 30 min,once daily and continuously for 21 days.For massage group,the affected knee joint was pressed,kneaded,stretched and rotated repeatedly for 15 min every time,followed by forced running about 100 m.The intra-joint synovia was collected(0.4-0.6 mL)for detecting the contents of IL-1β and TNF-α with radioimmunoassay.Results:No IL-1β and TNF-α were detected in the synovia in control group,while in the other 3 groups,synovia IL-1β and TNF-α levels increased significantly.Before treatment,no significant differences were found among model,EA and massage groups in the levels of IL-1β and TNF-α(P>0.05),while after the treatment the two indexes both decreased considerably(P<0.05).Compared with model group,the two indexes were remarkably lower(P<0.05),but no significant differences were found between EA and massage groups in synovia IL-1β and TNF-α contents(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both EA and massage can effectively suppress the release of synovia IL-1β and TNF-α in KOA of rabbits,which may contribute to the effect of acupuncture in the treatment of osteoarthritis.

      摘要:Objective:To investigate the specific acupoint,optimal curative opportunity and the involved pathway of electroacupuncture(EA)for regulating gono-endocrine hormones.Methods:①Adult female rats were randomly divided into sham-EA group(n=32),“Guanyuan”(CV 4)group(n=36)and “Neiguan”(PC 6)group(n=36)which were further divided into diestrum,preoestrus(P-EST),estruation and metaoestrus subgroups according to tetra-estrous cycles determined by vaginal smear test.EA(20/60 Hz,2-3 mA)was applied to CV4 and PC6 separately for 30 min from about 9:30 to 10:00 Am.Blood samples were collected from the common iliac vein before,30 min and 60 min after EA for detecting serum gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)and luteotropic hormone(LH)contents with radioimmunoassay.② Other female rats were randomly divided into median eminence(ME)lesions group and control group,which were used to observe the influence of hypothalamic ME lesion on the effect of EA of CV4 in regulating GnRH,LH and estradiol(E2)levels.Results:① Before the treatment,serum GnRH and LH levels were slightly different in different stages of the estrous cycle,GnRH level was highest in the estruation and LH content highest in the preoestrus.② After EA,both serum GnRH and LH levels increased to a certain degree at most stages.Compared with sham-EA group,GnRH levels in the diestrum and metaoestrus and LH in all the 4 stages of the estrous cycle in CV4 group increased significantly(P<0.05,0.01).Self-comparison showed that after EA of CV4,serum GnRH level in diestrum and metaoestrum,and LH contents in diestrum and metaoestrus increased markedly(P<0.05,0.01);while after EA of PC6,serum GnRH and LH levels in diestrum and metaoestrum increased slightly,suggesting that the effect of EA of CV4 was superior to that of EA of PC6 in promoting secretion of GnRH and LH.③Thirty minutes after EA,self-comparison between pre-and post-EA in each group and comparison among 3 groups showed no significant differences in both serum GnRH and LH levels(P>0.05).④ Electrolytic lesion weakened the effects of EA in promoting the secretion of GnRH,LH and E2,though the influence of this lesion on GnRH secretion was milder.Conclusion:EA can enhance the secretion of GnRH and LH in the diestrum and metaoestrus of the estrous cycle,which is realized by the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis.The effect of EA of CV4 is better than that of PC6.

      摘要:Objective:To study the underlying mechanism of acupuncture of “Zusanli”(ST 36)in the treatment of spleen deficiency syndrome.Methods:Twenty-six adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group(n=6),model group(n=8),saline group(n=6)and acupuncture group(n=6).Spleen deficiency syndrome model was duplicated by intragastric perfusion of 50% alcohol(on the 1st day,1 mL/100 g)and white vinegar for 9 days(1 mL/100 g).Before decapitation,the animals in all the 4 groups were forced to swim in a water pool under temperature of 18 ℃ till exhaustion(sinking to the bottom of the water pool).Blood samples were collected after decapitation of rats for detecting contents of serum gastrin and cortisol with radioimmunoassay.Unilateral “Zusanli”(ST 36)was punctured and stimulated manually then the needle was retained for 20 min.The treatment was given once daily and continuously for 10 days.Results:Compared with normal control group,serum gastrin and cortisol contents of model and saline groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),while compared with model group and saline group,both gastrin and cortisol levels increased remarkably in acupuncture group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between saline group and model group,and between normal control group and acupuncture group in serum gastrin and cortisol levels(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture of “Zusanli”(ST 36)can suppress alcohol and vinegar induced decrease of serum gastrin and cortisol,which may contribute to its effect in the treatment of spleen deficiency syndrome in the rat.

      摘要:Objective:To investigate the regularity of acupuncture of the Stomach Meridian for excess-heat-type obesity.Methods:Fifty-one patients with gastrointestine excess-heat syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group(n=25)and control group(n=26)according to the random number table method.Patients of treatment group were treated mainly with acupuncture of acupoints of the Stomach Meridian as bilateral Liangmen(ST 21),Huaroumen(ST 24),Tianshu(ST 25),Wailing(ST 26),etc.;and those of control group were treated with acupuncture of Back-Shu and Front-Mu points as bilateral Weishu(BL 21),Dachangshu(BL 25),Xiaochangshu(BL 27),Hegu(LI 4),etc.which were also stimulated electrically with parameters of 40-100 Hz,3-10 mA and stimulation duration of 30 min.The treatment was given once every other day continuously for 3 months.Body weight,body mass index(BMI),waistline and clinical symptoms were recorded before and after each course of the treatment.Results:After the treatment,of the 25 and 26 cases in treatment and control groups,5 and 0 were cured,9 and 7 had marked improvement,7 and 10 improved,4 and 9 failed,with the effective rates being 84.00% and 65.38% separately.Compared with control group and pre-treatment of the same group,the waistline,body weight and BMI of treatment group decreased significantly(P<0.05,0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture of acupoints of the Stomach Meridian has a good therapeutic effect in reducing body weight in gastrointestine excess-heat-type obesity patients.

      摘要:Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture on the urodynamics of bladder dysfunction in patients with radial hysterectomy.Methods:A total of 64 cases of bladder dysfunction patients with radial hysterectomy were divided into urinary canal indwelling group(control group,19 cases),Sanyinjiao(SP 6)group(23 cases)and Baliao(bilateral BL 31,BL 32,BL 33 and BL 34)group(22 cases).EA(4 Hz,4-6 V)was applied to the abovementioned acupoints for 30 min,once daily.Catheters were replaced on the 7th day after surgical operation in all the patients and then removed after 5 days' treatment.Postvoid residual urine volume(PVR),maximum cystometric capacity(MCC),and average flow rate(Qave)of urine were detected after seven days' treatment.Results:On the 7th day after operation,no significant differences were found among 3 groups in PVR,MCC and Qave.On the 12 th day,PVR of 3 groups decreased significantly(P<0.05)and Qave of SP6 and Baliao groups increased considerably(P<0.05).In comparison with control group,PVR of SP6 and Baliao groups decreased considerably,while Qave of the two acupuncture groups increased significantly(P<0.05),and the therapeutic effects of Baliao group were obviously superior to those of SP6 group(P<0.05).Of the 19,23 and 22 patients with urinary canal indwelling in control,SP6 and Baliao groups,16(84.21%),18(78.26%)and 7(31.82%)had no marked improvement in the bladder function on the 12th day after operation.On the 7th and 12th day after operation,the urinary tract infection was found in 1 and 10 cases in control group,2 and 8 cases in SP6 group,and 2 and 6 cases in Baliao group respectively.Conclusion:Acupuncture has a good therapeutic effect in improving the urodynamics of the bladder in radial hysterectomy patients,and the action of Baliao is the best.

      摘要:Objective:To explore the underlying neuroimmunological mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA)in the treatment of perennial allergic rhinitis(PAR).Methods:One hundred PAR outpatients were evenly randomized into EA group and medication group.Patients in EA group were treated with EA(5-10 mA,80-100 Hz,and 30 min of stimulation)of Sphenopalatine ganglion area,Yingxiang(LI 20),Shangyingxiang(EX-HN 8),Yintang(EX-HN 3),supplemented with other acupoints according to syndrome-differentiation(once daily,10 days being a therapeutic course).Patients of medication group were treated by Cetirizine(10 mg/times,t.i.d,peros).Before and after the treatment,blood samples of the ulnar vein were collected for detecting plasma vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP)and substance P(SP)contents with radioimmunoassay.Results:After the treatment,of the two 50 cases in EA and medication groups,20(40%)and 16(32%)had an obvious improvement,28(56%)and 24(48%)had an improvement,2(4%)and 10(20%)failed,with the total effective rates being 96% and 80% separately.The therapeutic effect of EA group was significantly superior to that of medication group(P<0.05).Self-comparison of each group showed that after the treatment,both plasma VIP and SP levels of two groups lowered apparently(P<0.05,0.01).Comparison between two groups showed that after the treatment,the content of VIP in EA group was markedly lower than that of medication group,while no significant difference was found between two groups in plasma SP levels(P>0.05).Conclusion:EA can effectively relieve perennial allergic rhinitis patients' clinical symptoms,which is closely related to its functions in lowering plasma VIP and SP levels.

      摘要:In the present paper,the authors make a systemic analysis on the combined treatment of cerebrovascular diseases with acu-moxibustion and herbal medicines from 1)background,2)objective,3)methods and contents,and 4)the underlying mechanism.It is thought of that optimizing the therapeutic program of acu-moxibustion and herbal medicines,and then optimizing their combined ways,time,quantity,etc.may improve clinical curative effect further.Concerning the study on the combined treatment of cerebrovascular diseases with acu-moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicines,the emphasis should be laid on the research on their pathways to pass through or pass by the blood-brain barrier and their protection action on the brain neurons which is the combining point for revealing the underlying mechanisms of the joint application of acu-moxibustion and herbal medicines.

      摘要:The effect of acupuncture induced weight reduction on menstrual activity is definitely not a negligible issue.By analyzing the existing materials about the mutual influence of neuroendocrine system and clinical trails,it is known that there exists a close interrelation between acupuncture-induced weight reduction and menstruation.Acupuncture treatment can achieve the effects of weight reduction and menstrual improvement via regulating activities of leptin,thyroid gland system and hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal cortex axis.Clinical practice has demonstrated that acupuncture stimulation of some commonly-used acupoints for weight reduction also has a favorable regulation on menstrual activity in obesity women.
