摘要:Objective: To study the molecular mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA) in the treatment of spinal cord injury(SCI) in rats. Methods: Forty-five male SD rats were randomized into control, model and EA groups with 15 cases in each group which was further divided into 3 subgroups(3 d,7 d and 14 d) at average.SCI(T10) model was duplicated by using modified Allen's method.EA(2 Hz,2-6 mA) was applied to bilateral "Jiaji" [EXB 2,superior and inferior to the injured locus(T10)] for 30 min,continuously for 3 days,7 days and 14 days respectively in different subgroups.Changes of SCI rats' behavior(hind-limb motor) were detected by using Basso Beattie Bresnahan(BBB) locomotor scoring scale.The immuno-reaction(IR) activity of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) in gray matter of the injured cord was determined using immunohistochemical technique on day 3,7 and 14 separately.Results: Compared with control group,BBB scores of model and EA groups were significantly lower in the 3 subgroups(P<0.01);while in comparison with the 3 subgroups of model group,BBB scores of the corresponding time in EA group were significantly higher(P<0.01).Compared with control group,IR-positive cells of both EGFR and GFAP in model and EA groups increased remarkably at the 3 time-points in number(P<0.01);while those of EGFR and GFAP of EA group were significantly fewer than those of model group at the 3 time-points(P<0.01).Conclusion: EA can effectively improve SCI rats' hind-limb locomotor,which may be closely related to its functions in suppressing the expression of EGFR and GFAP in the injured spinal cord and in promoting nerve axon regeneration.

摘要:Objective: To observe the anti-inflammatory effects of electroacupuncture(EA) at "Quchi"(LI 11) and its influence on IL-1β,TNF-α concentrations and mRNA expressions in carrageenan(CAR)-induced inflammation rats,so as to reveal partial mechanisms of EA in relieving acute inflammation.Methods: Sixty male Wistar rats were divided into control,model,Indomethacin(IND,7.5 mg/kg,oral perfusion),Rofecoxib(7.5 mg/kg,oral perfusion),EA-pre-treatment(EA was given once daily for 5 days before modeling),EA-post-treatment(EA was given once after modeling) groups,with 10 cases in each.EA(2 Hz,5 mA and persistent waves) was applied to "Quchi"(LI 11) for 30 min each time.Arthritis model was established by subcutaneous injection of 1% CAR,0.1 mL into the right hind paw.Paw edema degree of the affected hind paw was measured with a foot-volume surveyor.After processing samples of the affected paw toes(including smashing,centrifugalization,etc),concentrations of prostaglandin(PG) E2,interleukin(IL)-1β,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Expressions of IL-1β mRNA and TNF-α mRNA in the local inflammatory tissues were detected by reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) assay.Results: Compared with model group,the affected hind-paw-volume decreased significantly from 2 h on in EA-post-treatment group and from 1 h on in IND group after injection of CAR.Compared with control group,PGE2,IL-1β and TNF-α contents in the toe tissue of model group increased significantly;while in comparison with model group,PGE2 and IL-1β levels in EA-post-treatment group,IL-1β level in IND group decreased significantly(P<0.05),and TNF-α level in IND group increased significantly.No significant differences were found between model group and Rofecoxib and EA-pre-treatment groups in most time-courses of the hind-paw-volume,between model and IND,Rofecoxib and EA-pre-treatment groups in PGE2,between model and EA-pre-treatment groups in IL-1β,and between model and Rofecoxib,EA-pre-treatment and EA-post-treatment groups in TNF-α contents(P>0.05).Compared with model group,IL-1β mRNA expression of the local inflammatory tissues in IND and EA-post-treatment groups was down-regulated,and TNF-α mRNA expression in Rofecoxib and two EA groups down-regulated slightly.Conclusion: EA possesses anti-inflammatory effect in acute arthritis rats,which is closely related to its effects in reducing the secretion of PGE2,IL-1β and TNF-α and the expression of IL-1β mRNA and TNF-α mRNA.

摘要:Objective: To observe the effect of mild moxibustion on the reproductive endocrine in rats with partial androgen deficiency(PAD).Methods: Thirty male SD rats(aged 12 months) were randomized into control,androlin(testosterone propionate) and moxibustion ["Shenshu"(BL 23),"Mingmen"(GV 4) and "Guanyuan"(CV 4)] groups.PAD was determined by comparing these aging rats(n=50) with young rats(n=30) in serum total testosterone(TT) and free testosterone(FT) contents which were detected with radioimmunoassay.At the end of experiments,the rats' spleen,testis,thymus,and perirenal fat weight were detected respectively for calculating visceral index(each viscera weight/body weight).The rats' tail suspension tests were conducted for calculating the animal immobility duration in 6 min,and exhaustion swimming tests carried out for analyzing the duration of exhaustion swimming(from placing them into a water pool to the time when the animal sunk into water for 6 s).Results: 1) After the treatment,serum TT and FT contents in moxibustion and androlin groups increased significantly compared with pre-therapy in each group(P<0.01) and compared with control group(P<0.05,0.01).2) Results of rats' tail suspension tests displayed that after the therapy,the duration of immobility in moxibustion and androlin groups decreased markedly in comparison with pre-treatment of each group(P<0.05) and with control group(androlin group,P<0.05).3) Compared with control group,the duration of exhaustion swimming of moxibustion and androlin groups increased considerably(P<0.01).No significant differences were found between moxibustion and androlin groups in serum TT and FT levels,immobility duration and the duration of exhaustion swimming(P>0.05).4) Compared with control group,the indexes of thymus and testis raised remarkably,and that of perirenal fat lowered evidently(P<0.05,0.01),while no significant difference was found between moxibustion and androlin groups in indexes of thymus,testis and perirenal fat(P>0.05).There existed significant correlation between visceral index(thymus,testis and perirenal fat) and serum TT and FT levels respectively(P<0.01),and between the duration of immobility and exhaustion swimming and serum TT and FT levels separately (P<0.01).Conclusion: Mild moxibustion may prevent blood TT and FT levels from decline,reduce fat accumulation in the abdomen,regulate immune function,improve the depression state and myodynamia in the aging rats,which is comparable to the effects of testosterone propionate.

摘要:Objective: To observe changes of contents of excitatory amino acids in focal cerebral ischemic tissue after electroacupuncture (EA) treatment at different time courses in cerebral ischemia and reperfusion(CI/R) rats so as to provide experimental evidence for selecting the best duration of EA stimulation in the treatment of apoplexy.Methods: Forty SD rats were randomized into control,model,EA-10 min,EA-30 min and EA-60 min groups.CI/R model was established by middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO) and reperfusion.EA(2 Hz, 3.5 mA and continuous waves) was applied to "Baihui"(GV 20) and "Shuigou"(GV 26) for 10 min,30 min and 60 min respectively.Cerebral glutamate(Glu) and aspartic acid(Asp) concentrations were detected by using an amino acid automatic analyzer after homogenate and centrifugalization of the right brain tissue.Results: Compared with control group,Asp and Glu contents of model group and EA-10 min group increased significantly(P<0.01);while in comparison with model group,Asp level in EA-60 min group,and Glu level in EA-10 min,EA-30 min and EA-60 min groups decreased considerably(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between control and EA-30 min groups,and between control and EA-60 min groups in Asp and Glu levels(P>0.05).Conclusion: EA of GV20 and GV26 for 60 min can markedly reduce Glu and Asp levels in the topical cerebral infarct area in CI/R rats,which may contribute to its effect in relieving cerebral ischemic injury.Suitable duration of EA stimulation is definitely necessary for inducing a better therapeutic effect.
摘要:Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of different acupoints on electrical activities of the uterus in rats.Methods: A total of 79 Wistar rats anesthetized with mixture solution of 1.5% chloralose(50 mg/kg) and 25% urethrane(420 mg/kg,i.p.).In the first part of this study,40 non-pregnant rats were randomized into control,"Neiguan"(PC 6),"Hegu"(LI 4) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP 6) groups,with 10 cases in each group.In the second part of this study,39 pregnant rats were evenly randomized into control,"Neiguan"(PC 6) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP 6) groups,with 13 cases in each group.Electrohysterogram was recorded by using a bipolar stainless steel electrode inserted in the sub-perimetrium layer of the mid part of the uterus.EA(2 mA,5/15 Hz) was respectively applied to bilateral PC6,LI4,and SP6 for 20 min.Results: 1) In non-pregnant rats,compared with control group,the amplitude and frequency of fast waves(burst action potentials) and the amplitude of slow waves in SP6 increased significantly(P<0.05),and EA of LI4 had a similar effect in increasing the frequency of fast waves;while following EA of PC6,both frequency and amplitude of fast waves and the frequency of slow waves decreased significantly(P<0.05).In comparison with PC6 group,most indexes of SP6 and LI4 groups during EA and 0-5 min after EA presented significant differences(P<0.05,0.001).2) In pregnant rats,compared with control group,both the amplitude and frequency of fast waves and the amplitude of slow waves of the electrohysterogram in SP6 group increased significantly(P<0.05) and lasted a longer!time;while the frequency of both fast and slow waves decreased considerably in PC6 group(P<0.05).Comparison between SP6 and PC6 groups showed significant differences in the frequency and amplitude of fast waves and the frequency of slow waves during EA and after EA(P<0.05).Conclusion: EA of SP6 and LI4 can activate the myoelectrical activities of the uterine in both non-pregnant and pregnant rats,and the effect of EA of SP6 is stronger,whereas EA of PC6 can inhibit the myoelectrical activities of the uterine.Different acupoints have their relatively specific effect.

摘要:Objective: To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of "Shenmen"(HT 7) and "Zhizheng"(SI 7) on cardiac function and electrical activities of the cardiac sympathetic nerve in acute myocardial ischemia rabbits.Methods: Forty livid-blue rabbits were randomly divided into normal control,model,"Shenmen"(HT 7) and "Zhizheng"(SI 7) groups with 10 cases in each group.Acute myocardial ischemia(AMI) model was established by intravenous injection of pituitrin(3 U/kg).Changes of heart rate(HR),maximum rising rate(+dp/dt max) and maximum descending rate(-dp/dt max) of the left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP),and discharges of cardiac sympathetic nerve(superior cardiac branch) were recorded.EA(2 Hz,5 V) was applied to bilateral "Shenmen"(HT 7) and "Zhizheng"(SI 7) for 30 min.Results: After AMI,HR,LVSP,+dp/dt max and firing frequency of cardiac sympathetic nerve decreased significantly(P<0.01),and-dp/dt max increased obviously in model group(P<0.01).Compared with model group,HR,+dp/dt max and cardiac sympathetic discharge of HT7 and SI7 groups increased significantly 10 min and 20 min after EA(P<0.05,0.01),and-dp/dt max of the later 2 groups reduced evidently 20 min after EA(P<0.05, 0.01).No significant differences were found between HT7 and control groups in HR,LVSP and the firing frequency of cardiac nerve 20 min and 30 min after EA,and between SI7 and control groups in the firing frequency of cardiac nerve 30 min after EA(P>0.05).The effects of group HT7 were significantly better than those of SI7(P<0.05).Conclusion: EA of both HT7 and SI7 can obviously improve cardiac function and electrical activity of cardiac sympathetic nerve in AMI,and the effects of HT7 are markedly better than those of SI7.

摘要:Objective: To verify the classic saying of "Treating lumbar-back problems by puncturing Weizhong(BL 40)" in acu-moxibustion learning and to explore its underlying mechanism.Methods: Forty volunteer subjects were asked to accept twice tests respectively,i.e.,acupuncture of Weizhong(BL 40) and Yanglingquan(GB 34),for observing changes of skin blood perfusion(SBP) at the low back part of the body by using a laser Doppler perfusion imager.The whole observed area(lower back) was divided into five sub-areas,left and right areas involving Line-one and Line-two of the Bladder Meridian.Results: In comparison with pre-acupuncture,SBP of both BL40 and GB34 groups increased significantly from 4 minutes' retention of needles on to 12 min after withdrawing acupuncture needle(P<0.01),but no significant difference was found between two groups in SBP(P>0.05).The change rates of SBP at Line-one and Line-two of the Bladder Meridian on the same side of the stimulated Weizhong(BL 40) were significantly higher than those of Yanglingquan(GB 34)(P<0.05),but no significant changes were found on the opposite side(both Line-one and Line-two) of the Bladder Meridian.Conclusion: Acupuncture of both BL40 and GB34 can increase SBP at the low back of the body(involving the Bladder Meridian) on the same side,but the changing rate of SBP of BL40 is higher than that of GB34.

摘要:Objective: To observe the effect of moxibustion of Baihui(GV 20) on the hemodynamics of internal carotid artery in health subjects so as to study its underlying mechanism of moxibustion in the treatment cerebrovascular disorders.Methods: Thirty healthy male volunteer students between 20 and 22 years in age were enrolled into this study.Qm(mean blood flow),Vm(mean velocity of blood flow),Vmax(maximal velocity of blood flow),Vmin(minimal velocity of blood flow),Wv(pulse wave velocity),Zcv(characteristic impedance),Rv(peripheral resistance),DR(dynamic resistance),CP(critical pressure)and DP(difference of pressure)of the right and left common carotid arteries were measured before and after moxibustion of GV20(5-10 min each time,once daily,5 times altogether) by using CBA CV-300 Cerebrovascular Hemodynamics Detector.Results: Following moxibustion of GV20,Qm,Vm and Vmin of both right and left common carotid arteries increased significantly(P<0.01);while Rv and DR of the brain artery lowed evidently(P<0.05);The rest indexes had no significant changes(P>0.05). Conclusion: Moxibustion of Baihui(GV 20) can significantly raise the velocity of blood flow of the common carotid artery and low the resistance of blood vessels.

摘要:Objective: To observe the regulative effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of Sanyinjiao(SP 6) on genito-endocrine in patients with perimenopausal syndrome(PMS).Methods:A total of 175 PMS patients(157 cases with complete data) were randomized into EA group(n=81) and medication group(n=76) according to multi-center(3 hospitals) and single-blind control trial method.EA(2/100 Hz,8-10 mA) was applied to bilateral Sanyinjiao(SP 6) for 30 min,3 times every week,with one month being a therapeutic course,3 courses altogether.Patients in medication group were ordered to take nilestriol(2 mg,twice/month for 3 months) and medrysone(2 mg,t.i.d.for 10 days from the 3rd month on).Serum estradiol(E) 2,follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) were detected with a chemiluminescence immo-analysis system.Results: After EA treatment,serum FSH and LH contents decreased significantly and serum E2 increased considerably(P<0.001) compared with its basic values.Comparison between two groups showed that FSH,LH and E2 levels in EA group were significantly lower than those of medication group(P<0.05).Conclusion: EA of Sanyinjiao(SP 6) has a good regulative effect on reproductive endocrine function in PMS patients.

摘要:Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of warm-reinforcing needling combined with modern rehabilitation training for infant cerebral palsy(CP).Methods: Forty cases of cerebral palsy children were randomly divided into rehabilitation(Rehab,n=19) and acupuncture(Acup) +Rehab(n=21) groups.Body acupoints used were Baihui(GV 20),Zusanli(ST 36),Quchi(LI 11),Huantiao(GB 30),Yinlingquan(GB 34),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),etc.,and scalp-acupoints Zhisanzhen(the cross-point between the anterior hairline and the median line of the head,3 cun bilateral to the crossing point),Naosanzhen [Naohu(GV 17),1.5 cun bilateral to GV17],Balance Zone,Motor Zone,etc..The treatment was conducted once every other day,with 3 months being a therapeutic course,2 courses altogether.Rehabilitation training included physical training(PT),occupational therapy(OT) training,and speech training(ST),5 times a week,with 3 months being a therapeutic course,2 courses altogether.Gross motor function measure(GMFM) and comprehensive function(CF,including cognition,speech,motor,self-care and social-adaptable abilities) were evaluated.Results: After the treatment,of the 19 and 21 cases in Rehab and Acup+Rehab groups,12(63.16%) and 18(85.71%) experienced marked improvement,7(36.84%) and 3(14.29%) failed,with the effective rates being 63.16% and 85.71% respectively.The therapeutic effect of Acup+Rehab group was markedly superior to that of Rehab group(P<0.05).Selfcomparison of two groups showed that the scores of CF and GMFM increased significantly in comparison with pre-treatment(P<0.01),and the scores of CF and GMFM of Acup+Rehab group were obviously higher than those of Rehab group(P<0.01).Conclusion: Rehabilitation training combined with acupuncture can apparently improve CP children's motor and comprehensive functions,and the therapeutic effect of Acup+Rehab is evidently superior to that of simple rehabilitation training therapy.
摘要:Objective: To probe into the underlying mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA) for simple obesity patients.Methods: Sixty simple obesity patients were randomly divided into control,manual acupuncture(MA) and EA groups with 20 cases in each group.Acupoint groups 1) Liangqiu(ST 34),Xuehai(SP 10),etc.;2) Gongsun(SP 4),Neiting (ST 44),etc.were punctured respectively for MA groups(once every other day,27 times altogether),and in combination with EA(2-5 mA,0.8-3 Hz,30 min) of bilateral Tianshu(ST 25),Fujie(SP 14),etc.for EA group.Serum leptin(Lep) and adiponectin(Adi) were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results: After the treatment,of the 20 cases in control,MA and EA groups,0(0%),0(0%) and 4(20.0%) were cured;0(0%),10(50.0%) and 14(70.0%) were improved remarkably;1(5.0%),7(35.0%) and 1(5.0%) were effective;19(95.0%),3(15.0%) and 1(5.0%) failed,with the effective rates being 5.0%,85.0% and 95.0% separately.The therapeutic effects of both MA and EA groups were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.01).After the treatment,serum Lep levels in both MA and EA groups decreased significantly,and serum Adi contents of these two groups increased considerably compared with their own basic values of pre-treatment(P<0.05,0.01),and the effects of EA were markedly better than those of MA and control groups(P<0.05).No significant changes were found in Lep and Adi levels in control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: Both EA and manual acupuncture can effectively lower blood Lep content and raise blood Adi in simple obesity patients,which may contribute to its effect in reducing body weight.The effect of EA is significantly superior to that of manual acupuncture in the treatment of simple obesity.
摘要:In the process of revising national standard of acupoint location and formulating international standard of acupoint location,the author of the present paper,using surface anatomy(a new branch of anatomy) and imageological methods,successfully solves some problems with which are difficult to dealt merely according to literature analysis,not only providing scientific evidence for formulating both national and international standards of acupoint location,but also uncovering scientific value of experience of surface anatomy accumulated systematically in Chinese ancient times and revealing its new vitality.It provides an extensive applied prospect for the development of surface anatomy.

摘要:The "Multimedia System for Showing Achievements of Acu-moxibustion in Chinese Past Successive Dynasties" is a project of scientific research for the development of science and technology of Chinese medicine subsidized by Beijing Municipal government.It serves to directly and lively show great achievements and rich-colorful information(cultural relics, etc.) about acu-moxibustion in the development process in Chinese successive dynasties in the light of the order of historical development and through different styles such as characters,pictures,videos and flash,etc.This system is an academic gallery unifying common knowledge,skills or techniques,and actual clinic treatment scenery of acupuncture and moxibustion,possessing significant applicability and innovation.The present article puts emphasis on introducing its construction's aim and orientation,main contents,and traits in the systematic design.

摘要:Recent studies indicate that nerve stem cells(NSC) plays a role in the pathophysiological process of cerebral ischemia which could activate the proliferation and differentiation of endogenous NSC.Scalp-acupuncture therapy has a good effect in the treatment of ischemic stroke,hence,we presume that there exists a possibility that endogenous NSC may contribute to the effect of scalp-acupuncture in promoting the repair and remodeling of the injured ischemic cerebral tissue.Thus,in the present paper,the authors review development of researches on NSC both at home and abroad from clinical therapeutic effect and experimental research,and discuss the possible role or significance of NSC in the treatment of ischemic cerebral stroke with scalp-acupuncture therapy,so as to reveal the regulative mechanism of scalp-acupuncture on endogenous NSC and to make a better use of scalp-acupuncture therapy in accelerating the proliferation and differentiation of NSC,and to lay a solid theoretical foundation for future clinical application.
摘要:The essence of meridian-collateral system is one of the momentous theoretical topics of the life science.In recent years,many authors have been trying to elucidate various kinds of meridian phenomenon from different points of view including physics,chemistry,biology,traditional Chinese medicine,modern science and so on.The physical detection results intuitively indicated biophysics specificities of meridians,including electricity,heat,sound,light,magnesium,the migration of the injected isotope along the running route of meridians and so on.Results of the studies on chemical materials(ion,PO2,neurotransmitters) within the tissues along the meridian and those of cell junction communications showed that some chemical substances have a close relation with the meridian activities.This review summarizes recent research results on meridian and acupoints from biophysics and biochemistry in order to have a comprehensive understanding in this field.

摘要:In the present paper,the authors review the current development of studies on mechanisms of acupuncture treatment of acute ischemic cerebral apoplexy from 1) blood rheology,2) cerebral microcirculation,3) metabolism of cerebral tissue,4) cerebral electrical activity,5) free radicals and lipid peroxidation reaction,6) excitatory aminoacid,7) calcium overload,8) nitrogen monoxidum,and 9) cerebral apoptosis.Cerebral stroke includes ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke.Ischemic cerebral stroke accounted for about 60%-70% of all the stroke cases.At present,the main remedies for treating acute ischemic cerebral stroke includes thrombolysis, anti-platelet aggregation,improving microcirculation and symptomatic therapy. In recent years,there are many experimental and clinical reports available about acupuncture treatment of acute ischemic cerebral stroke,highlighting the efficacy of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of stroke.
