      摘要:Objective To observe effects of electroacupuncture(EA) on the expression of κ-opioid receptor in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord and contents of enkephalin(ENK) and beta-endorphin(β-EP) in the periaqueductal gray(PAG) of midbrain in dysmenorrheal rats,so as to reveal its underlying mechanism in relieving dysmenorrhea.Methods A total of 80 female SD rats were randomized into saline control(control),model,Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Xuanzhong(GB 39),non-acupoint groups(16 rats/group).Dysmenorrhea model was established by subcutaneous injection of estradiol benzoate(0.5 mg/rat on the 1st day and 10th day,0.2 mg/rat from the 2nd day to the 9th day).One hour after the last injection,oxytocin(2 U/rat) was given intrape-ritoneally,for rats of the control group,the same dose of saline was given(i.p.).On the10th day,EA(2 Hz/100 Hz,0.1-0.3 mA) was applied to "Sanyinjiao"(SP 6),"Xuanzhong"(GB 39) and non-acupoint(the mid-point between the Stomach Meridian and Gallbladder Meridian,and in parallel with GB 39) for 20 min,respectively.Latency and number of writhing response,and writhing score(according to Schmauss's and Yaksh's method) were recorded.The expression of κ-opioid receptor(κ-OR) in T13,L1,L2,L6 and S1 segments of spinal cord was determined by immunohistochemistry,and the contents of ENK and β-EP in the midbrain PAG were assayed by ELISA.Results ①Compared with the saline control group,the writhing latency of the model group was significantly shortened(P<0.01),while the writhing times and writhing score of the model group were increased significantly(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,the writhing latency of SP 6 group was significantly prolonged(P<0.05),while the writhing scores and writhing times of the SP 6,GB 39 and the non-acupoint groups decreased significantly(P<0.01).② In comparison with the control group,κ-OR expression in the dorsal horn of L2 segment of spinal cord was upregulated significantly in the model group(P<0.05).Compared to the model group,κ-OR expression levels in the dorsal horns(DHs) of spinal T13,L1,L2,L6 and S1 segments in the SP 6 group were upregulated significantly(P<0.01).ENK and β-EP contents of PAG in the SP 6 and GB 39 groups were increased considerably(P<0.01,P<0.05).The effects of SP 6 were significantly superior to those of GB 39 in upregulating κ-OR expression of spinal L1,L2 and L6 DHs and in upregulating β-EP content of PAG;and superior to non-acupoint in upregulating κ-OR expression of spinal T13,L1,L2,L6 and S1 DHs and in increasing both ENK and β-EP contents of PAG(P<0.01,P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the non-acupoint group and the model group in writhing latency,κ-OR expression levels of spinal T13,L1,L2 and S1 DHs,and in ENK and β-EP contents of PAG(P>0.05).Conclusion EA of SP 6 can significantly alleviate pain reactions in dysmenorrhea rats,which is closely associated with its functions in upregulating spinal κ-OR expression and ENK and β-EP contents in PAG.EA of SP 6,GB 39 and non-acupoint has some different degrees of efficacies in relieving dysmenorrhea and in upregulating spinal κ-OR expression.

      摘要:Objective To investigate the protective effect of acupuncture intervention on liver in carbon tetrachloride induced hepatic fibrosis rats and to reveal its impact on extracellular matrix production in the liver tissue.Methods A total of 46 SD rats were randomly divided into control group(n=10),model group(n=12),sham group(n=12) and acupuncture group(n=12).Hepatic fibrosis model was established by intraperitoneal injection of 50% olive oil containing CCl4(1 mL/kg),3 times in the 1st week and twice per week from the 2nd to the 6th week.During the fibrosis model establishment,acupuncture of "Taichong"(LR 3),"Qimen"(LR 14),"Ganshu"(BL 18) and "Zusanli"(ST 36) was carried out simultaneously.In the sham group,non-acupuncture points(0.5 cm left to the above-mentioned real points) were punctured.The treatment was conducted 3 times a week in the first three weeks and then twice a week for the last three weeks.Serum levels of hyaluronic acid(HA),liminin(LN)and precollagen(PCⅢ)were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay for assessing the hepatic fibrosis degree.Primary hepatic stellate cells(HSC) were separated.Western blot assay was used to detect the expression of α-smooth muscle actin(SMA),α 1(I) collagen,fibronectin,matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-9(components of extracellular matrix,ECM) and tissue inhibitor of metalloprotei-nase-1(TIMP-1,an inhibitor of MMP-9) proteins of HSC.Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the expression levels of α-SMA,α 1(I) collagen and fibronectin genes of HSC.Results Compared with the control group,contents of serum HA,LN and PCⅢ,expression levels of α-SMA,α 1(I) collagen and fibronectin proteins and genes,and TIMP-1 protein of HSC were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05),while MMP-9 protein(an enzyme for degradating ECM) expression level of HSC in the model group was down-regulated significantly(P<0.01),suggesting a formation of hepatic fibrosis,impairment of the liver tissue fibrosis and imbalance of degradation of ECM.H.E.staining showed an ameliorated liver injury(disorder of hepatocyte arrangement,hepatocyte necrosis,formation of pseudolobule,etc.) in the acupuncture group in comparison with the model group.In comparison with the model group,serum HA and LN contents,expression levels of α-SMA,α 1(I) collagen and fibronectin proteins,and α-SMA mRNA and fibronectin mRNA of HSC were down-regulated considerably in the acupuncture group(P<0.05,P<0.01).On the contrary,MMP-9 protein expression level of HSC was up-regulated remarkably in the acupuncture group compared with the model group(P<0.05).No significant changes were found in all the aforementioned indexes in the sham group,and serum PCⅢ content as well as α 1(I) collagen mRNA and TIMP-1 protein expression levels of HSC in the acupuncture group compared with those in the model group(P>0.05).Conclusion Acu-puncture treatment can significantly relieve CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in hepatic fibrosis rats probably by inhibiting the synthe-sis and deposite of HA and LN,down-regulating expression levels of α-SMA,α 1(I) collagen and fibronectin proteins,and α-SMA mRNA and fibronectin mRNA of HSC as well as up-regulating MMP-9 protein expression of HSC.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of preventive-electroacupuncture(PEA) at "Guanyuan"(CV 4) and "San-yinjiao"(SP 6)on hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary(HPO)activities in ovariectomized(OVX) rats,and to compare the specificity of efficacy of acupoints.Methods Sixty-two female SD rats were randomly divided into normal group(n=6),sham-operation(sham) group(n=6),model group(n=6),PEA-Guanyuan(CV 4,PEA-CV 4) group(n=11),PEA-Sanyinjiao(SP 6,PEA-SP 6) group(n=11),complementary(C)-PEA-CV 4(n=11) and C-PEA-SP 6 group(n=11).Climacterium model was duplicated by removing the bilateral ovaries.Before OVX,electroacupuncture(EA,2 Hz/100 Hz,) was applied to bilateral SP 6,CV 4 for 20 min,once every other day for 15 times.For rats of the C-PEA-CV 4 and C-PEA-SP 6 groups and 12 days after the OVX,PEA was applied to CV 4 and SP 6 again,once every other day for 5 times.For rats of the sham group,a little of fat nearby the ovary was removed.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the contents of gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) in the hypothalamus,follicule-stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) in the hypophysis,and estrogen(E2) in the uterus.Results In comparison with the normal group,uterus E2 content was decreased significantly(P<0.05),and pituitary FSH and LH contents and hypothalamic GnRH content were increased obviously(P<0.01) in the model group.Compared with the model group,uterus E2 levels in the PEA-CV 4 and C-PEA-CV 4 groups were increased apparently(P<0.05),while both pituitary FSH and hypothalamic GnRH levels in the PEA-CV 4,C-PEA-CV 4,PEA-SP 6 and C-PEA-SP 6 groups,and pituitary LH levels in the C-PEA-CV 4 and PEA-SP 6 groups were down-regulated markedly(P<0.05,P<0.01),suggesting an improvement of the HPO axis activity following PEA and C-PEA.No significant differences were found between the normal and sham groups in uterus E2,pituitary FSH and LH,and hypothalamic GnRH contents,and between the model and PEA-SP 6 groups,and between the model and C-PEA-SP 6 groups in uterus E2 levels,and between the model and PEA-CV 4 groups,and between the model and C-PEA-SP 6 groups in pituitary LH levels(P>0.05).Conclusion Preventive EA of "Guanyuan"(CV 4) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP 6) can function in up-regulating uterus E2 level,and down-regulating pituitary FSH and LH contents and hypothalamic GnRH level in OVX rats,which may contribute to its efficacy in relieving climacteric syndrome in clinic.

      摘要:Objective To observe the influence of acupuncture of "Baihui"(GV 20) to "Yintang"(EX-HN 3) and unila-teral "Neiguan"(PC 6) on the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) gene and protein in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus in chronic stress-induced depression rats.Methods Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups(6 rats/group): control,control+acupuncture,model,and model + acupuncture.Depression model was established by giving the rats with repeated abstinence of food and water,illumination at night,forced cold water-swimming,vibration,tail-clamping,constraint and raising alone for 28 days.Acupuncture was applied to "Baihui"(GV 20) to "Yintang"(EX-HN 3) and unilateral "Neiguan"(PC 6) once every other day for 28 days.The expression levels of BDNF mRNA and protein of the frontal cortex and hippocampus tissues were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot methods,separately.Results Compared with the control group,the expression levels of BDNF mRNA and protein in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus were significantly decreased in the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05).Whereas compared with the model group,BDNF mRNA and protein expression levels in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus were significantly upregulated in the model+acupuncture group(P<0.05,P<0.01).No significant differences were found between the control and control+acupuncture groups in the expression levels of cortical and hippocampal BDNF mRNA and protein(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture can effectively reverse chronic stress-induced down-regulation of BDNF mRNA and protein expression in the frontal cortex and hippocampus in depression rats,which may contribute to its effect in anti-depression by protecting the regeneration of neurons.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of "Baihui"(GV 20) and "Dazhui"(GV 14) on the expression of gamma-glutamylcysteine synthetase(γ-GCS) protein and gene in the cerebral cortex in rats with cerebral ischemia-reperfusion(CI/R) injury,so as to explore its molecular biological mechanism underlying anti-oxidative stress.Methods A total of 30 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into sham operation(sham,n=10),model(n=10),and EA(n=10) groups.CI/R model was established by right middle cerebral artery occlusion(modified Longa's thread occlusion method) for 2 hours and reperfusion for 24 hours.EA(3 Hz,1-3 mA) was applied to "Dazhui"(GV 14) and "Baihui"(GV 20) for 30 min.γ-GCS protein expression of the parietotemporal region of cerebral cortex was detected by immunohistochemistry and γ-GCS heavy subunit(γ-GCSh) mRNA and γ-GCS light subunit(γ-GCSI) mRNA expression levels were assayed by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results Compared with the sham group,the expression levels of γ-GCS protein in the pyramidal cell layer of the cerebral cortical parietotemporal region,and γ-GCSh mRNA and γ-GCSl mRNA,and the number of γ-GCS immuno-reaction positive cells had no remarkable changes in the model group(P>0.05),while in comparison with the mo-del group,the expression levels of cerebral cortical γ-GCS protein,and γ-GCSh mRNA and γ-GCSl mRNA,and the number of γ-GCS immuno-reaction positive cells were increased considerably in the EA group(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion EA of GV 20 and GV 14 can upregulate expression levels of γ-GCS protein,γ-GCSh mRNA and γ-GCSl mRNA of the cerebral cortical parietotemporal region in CI/R rats,which may contribute to its effect in protecting cerebral cortical cells from injury by clearing away excessive oxygen free radicals.

      摘要:Objective To observe the structure of acupoints: "Shangyang"(LI 1),"Erjian"(LI 2),"Sanjian"(LI 3),"Hegu"(LI 4) and "Quchi"(LI 11) of the Yangming Meridian in the rabbit's forelimb.Methods The acupoints were first located in accordance with the related atlas of rabbits and confirmed by low resistance and higher electric potential determinations by using a "multipurpose electronic acupoint detection and therapeutic instrument".Then the animals under anesthesia were killed by intravenous injection of air embolism,perfused with 5% natrium citricum first,acetic ether containing acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer,and 5% dicapryl phthalate,blue and red pigments for paintings via subclavian artery,respectively.After routinely inserting an acupuncture needle into the acupoint,the local tissues(muscles,blood vessels and nerves) of the acupoints mentioned above were dissected layer by layer and their relations with the needle were observed under microscope.Results "Erjian"(LI 2) is situated at the depression site distal to the second metacarpophalangeal joint on the radial side."Sanjian"(LI 3) is located at the depression site proximal to the second metacarpophalangeal joint on the radial side.The shallow-layers of "Shangyang"(LI 1),"Erjian"(LI 2),"Sanjian"(LI 3),"Hegu"(LI 4) and "Quchi"(LI 11) mainly contain cephalic vein and shallow branches of the radial nerve,and their deep layers chiefly contain radial artery and its branches,and the median nerve.Conclusion "Shangyang"(LI 1),"Erjian"(LI 2),"Sanjian"(LI 3),"Hegu"(LI 4) and "Quchi"(LI 11) have a close association with the cephalic vein,radial artery,radial vein and its branches,superficial branch of radial nerve and the median nerve,which constitutes the morphological basis of the five points.

      摘要:Objective To study the effect of acupuncture on blood oxygen free radical metabolism in rats with chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).Methods Thirty male SD rats were randomly divided into control group(n=10),model group(n=10) and acupuncture group(n=10).CFS model was established by repeated suspension(1.0-2.5 h) and forced cold water swimming(7 min),once daily continuously for 12 days.For rats in the acupuncture group,bilateral "Zusanli"(ST 36) and "Sanyinjiao"(SP 6) were stimulated by manipulating the acupuncture needles intermittently for 20 min,once daily,and with 7 days being a treatment course.The treatment was conducted for three courses with an interval of 3 days between two courses.Serum malonaldehyde(MDA) content,superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity,and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX) activity were detected by thiobarbituric acid chromatometry(TBA),xanthine oxidase(XOD) and dithio-bis-nitrobenzoic acid(DTNB),respectively.Results In comparison with the control group,serum MDA content was up-regulated significantly,while serum SOD activity and GSH-PX activity were decreased considerably in the model group(P<0.01).Compared with the model group,serum MDA level was down-regulated apparently,and serum SOD activity and GSH-PX activity were up-regulated remarkably in the acupuncture group(P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture can adjust metabolism of serum oxygen free radicals in CFS rats,which probably contributes to its effect in relieving CFS in clinic.

      摘要:Objective To observe the influence of lift-thrust reinforcing-reducing manipulations of acupuncture on serum ferritin(SF) content and total iron binding capacity(TIBC) in blood-deficiency syndrome rabbits so as to study its underlying mechanisms.Methods Sixty Japanese white rabbits were randomized into blank control,model,acupuncture needle-retaining,reinforcing-manipulation(reinforcing) and reducing-manipulation(reducing) groups(n=12 in each group).Blood-deficiency syndrome model was duplicated by bleeding(about 10 mL/time,once every other day,for 5 times) and food restriction(half of the normal quantity).Bilateral "Zusanli"(ST 36) were punctured by using filiform needles.The needles were not lifted and thrust for rabbits of the needle-retaining group,but lifted and thrust for 15 min for rabbits of the reinforcing and reducing groups.The treatment was given once every other day,10 times altogether.Serum SF and TIBC levels were assayed by radioimmunoassay.Results Following modeling,compared to the blank control group,serum SF content was decreased significantly(P<0.05),while TIBC level was increased considerably in the model group(P<0.05).On day 17 after acupuncture treatment,serum SF contents of both reinforcing and reducing groups were up-regulated significantly in comparison with pre-treatment after modeling in the same one group(P<0.05),while TIBC levels in these two groups were down-regulated evidently compared with pre-treatment(P<0.05).In comparison with the model group,serum SF content in the reducing group was up-regulated apparently and TIBC levels in both reinforcing and reducing groups were down-regulated remarkably(P<0.05).On day 32 after the treatment,serum SF contents were increased markedly and TIBC levels decreased remarkably in the needle-retaining,reinforcing and redu-cing groups in comparison with pre-treatment after modeling(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the reinforcing and reducing groups in both serum SF and TIBC levels(P>0.05).Conclusion Both reinforcing and reducing manipulation of acupuncture of "Zusanli"(ST 36) can up-regulate serum SF content and down-regulate TIBC level in blood-deficiency syndrome rabbits,which may contribute to their effects in improving blood-deficiency syndrome and has no significant difference.

      摘要:Objective To observe different brain effects of electroacupuncture(EA) stimulation of Guanyuan(CV 4) and Zusanli(ST 36) in the normal subjects by using functional magnetic resonance image(fMRI).Methods Twenty-one healthy volu-nteers were recruited in the present study.fMRI was used to investigate brain responses [blood-oxygenation-level-dependent(BOLD) signals] to EA stimulation of CV 4 and ST 36.A filiform silver needle was inserted into CV 4 or the left ST 36 randomly in two consecutive fMRI tests,and then manipulated with uniform reducing-reinforcing methods to induce "Deqi".fMRI scan was performed before needling,during needle retention,during EA stimulation,and post-EA.Volunteer's subjective needling sensations were recorded after EA.Data of fMRI were analyzed by using software SPM 2 and fMRI was mapped by Degree Centrality Mea-sure method for whole brain correlation.The activation,deactivation,short-distance and long-distance functional connectivity maps of cerebral regions were investigated.Results The fullness and numbness feelings of the subjects were stronger during EA at ST 36 than at CV 4.EA at ST 36 or CV 4 induced apparent similar deactivation effects in the anterior cingulate and medial prefrontal cortices.The default mode of the brain at rest state was modified by needle retention and EA stimulation,respectively.The functional brain network was significantly changed after EA.The instant post-acupuncture effects(enhancement of the shortdistance functional connectivity) were mainly found in the ventral medial prefrontal cortex(VMPF) and ventral anterior cingulate cortex(vACC) in the limbic-paralimbic-neocortical network,and there were a little bit stronger signals in ST 36 than in CV 4.Conclusion EA stimulation of CV 4 and ST 36 induces a similar modulation effect in the limbic-medial prefrontal network in healthy subjects.

      摘要:Objective To observe the difference of the microcirculatory blood perfusion between acupoints and non-acupoints of the Stomach Meridian and its bilateral control points and to analyze the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on subcutaneous microcirculatory perfusion in healthy volunteers.Methods A total of 21 healthy adult volunteers were recruited in the present study.Subcutaneous microcirculatory blood perfusion units(BPU) of Shangjuxu(ST 37),Liangqiu(ST 34),Yinshi(ST 33),Futu(ST 32) and non-acupoint(the midpoint between ST 33 and ST 32) of the Stomach Meridian and their bilateral non-meridian points were measured by using Laser Doppler Flowmetry(LDF,PeriFlux 5000).EA(0.5 Hz,duration 0.2 ms,3-4 V) was applied to Zusanli(ST 36) for 10 min.The subcutaneous microcirculatory perfusion was detected under room temperature of(28±1)℃ and humidity of about 60% after inserting a single-use syringe needle into the subcutaneous tissues(about 1 cm in depth).Results In comparison with the bilateral control points,the subcutaneous microcirculatory BPU values of Shangjuxu(ST 37),Liangqiu(ST 34),Yinshi(ST 33),Futu(ST 32) and non-acupoint regions of the Stomach Meridian were significantly higher(P<0.01).In comparison with pre-EA,the cutaneous microcirculatory BPU was increased mildly after EA of ST 36(P>0.05).Following EA for 5 to 10 min,the waveforms of LDF of the Stomach Meridian got regular and smooth.Conclusion The microcirculatory blood perfusion of acupoints and non-acupoint of the Stomach Meridian in the deeper subcutaneous tissues are significantly higher than that of their bilateral corresponding control points,suggesting that subcutaneous microvascular blood flow may be the heat source for forming infrared radiation trace along the meridian in the human body observed in our past studies.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effectiveness of stiletto needle stimulation combined with massage in the treatment of dysfunction and pain of knee joints in knee osteoarthrosis(KOA) patients.Methods One hundred KOA outpatients and inpatients were randomly and equally divided into treatment and control groups.Patients of the treatment group were treated by using stiletto needle stimulation of 5-10 tender-points(at the medial collateral ligament,internal condyle of femur,medial condyle of femur,etc.) in combination with massage on the bilateral sides of the patella ligament,digital pressing of Liangqiu(ST 34),Xuehai(SP 10),Neixiyan(EX-LE 4),Weizhong(BL 40),etc.Patients of the control group were treated by using massage therapy alone(the same to those mentioned above).Elasticity of the soft tissue[displacement value under 500 g pressure exerted on the tender-point surface;the banana area,i.e.,the absorbed energy of the soft tissue] was measured by using Soft-tissue Tension Detector.Dysfunction scores of the knee-joint(cure:91-99 points;marked improvement:75-90 points;improvement: 60-74 points;invalid: no improvement) were assessed according to Jiang's method,and the therapeutic effect was evaluated in the light of "Criteria for Diagnosis and Therapeutic Effect Assessment of Illnesses or Clinical Conditions of Chinese Medicine" issued in 1994 in China.Results Comparison between pre-and post-treatment in the same one group showed that the displacement values and scores of pain,joint-movement and malformation,and total scores were increased significantly and the banana area reduced considerably in these two groups after the treatment(P<0.05),and the effects of the treatment group were appa-rently superior to those of the control group(P<0.05).Of the two 50 cases in the control and treatment groups,10(20%) and 33(66%) had marked improvement,33(66%) and 14(28%) were improved,and 7(14%) and 3(6%) invalid,with the effective rates being 86% and 94%,respectively.The markedly effective rate of the treatment group was apparently higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the two groups in the scores of initiative extension range,walking abi-lity and daily life activities(P>0.05).Conclusion Stiletto needle intervention in combination with massage can effectively relieve dysfunction and pain of the knee joint in KOA patients.

      摘要:Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of variable-frequency electroacupuncture(EA) combined with herbal-moxa moxibustion for regional neuralgia in herpes zoster(HZ) patients.Methods A total of 37 cases of HZ outpatients were randomized into treatment group(18 cases) and medication group(19 cases).For patients of the treatment group,EA(100 Hz for the 1st 10 min,then 2 Hz for 30 min) plus herbal-moxa roll(15 cm in length,containing components of corydalis tuber,astragali radix,myrrh,etc.) moxibustion(till local skin flushing,and the patient's warm feeling penetrated from the skin surface to the deeper subcutaneous tissues,ignited nine times repeatedly) was applied to Jiaji(EX-B 2) and Ashi-point,once daily for 7 days.Patients of the medication group were ordered to take Brufen(0.3 g,b.i.d.),vitamin B 1(10 mg,t.i.d.) and vitamin E(100 mg,b.i.d).The visual analog scale(VAS) was used to assess the HZ patients' pain reaction before and after the therapy.Results After one course of treatment,of the 19 and 18 HZ patients in the medication and treatment groups,1(5.26%) and 5(27.77%) were cured,13(68.42%) and 12(66.67%) ameliorated,5(26.32%) and 1(5.56%) invalid,with the total effective rates being 73.68% and 94.44% respectively.The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was significantly superior to that of the medication group(P<0.05).VAS scores of both groups were decreased considerably following the treatment(P<0.05),but showed no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Variable-frequency EA plus herbal-moxa roll moxibustion is effective in relieving neuralgia of HZ patients.

      摘要:In order to explore the efficacy specificity and valuable rules of clinical application of needling and moxibustion methods in a large quantity of information from literature,a data warehouse needs being established.On the basis of the original databases of red-hot needle therapy and hydro-acupuncture therapy,and the newly-established databases of acupoint catgut embedding therapy,acupoint application therapy,etc.,and in accordance with the characteristics of different types of needling-moxi-bustion literature information,databases on different subjects were established first.These subject databases constitute a general "literature data warehouse on needling moxibustion methods" composing of multi-subjects and multiple dimensions so as to discover useful regularities about clinical treatment and trials collected in the literature by using data mining techniques.In the present paper,the authors introduce the design of the data warehouse,determination of subjects,establishment of subject relations,application of the administration platform,and application of data.This data warehouse will provide a standard data representation mode,enlarge data attributes and create extensive data links among literature information in the network,and may bring us with considerable convenience and profits in clinical application decision making and scientific research about needling-moxibustion techniques.

      摘要:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is a common reproductive endocrine disease in women of reproductive age,and the obesity and insulin resistance are considered to be the key link in the pathophysiological process of PCOS of obesity type.Adiponectin,a protein hormone,is closely related to insulin resistance and obesity,which has been being researched extensively in recent years.The authors of the present article review the pathogenesis of PCOS of obesity type from the relationship between adiponectin and obesity,and between adiponectin and insulin resistance,separately.In particular,the authors review studies on the underlying mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion interventions in regulating adiponectin level briefly.The authors think of that acupuncture and moxibustion interventions induced increase of adiponectin level is possibly to improve insulin resistance in obesity and/or PCOS patients,hoping to provide a new target for clinical treatment of PCOS.

      摘要:Acupuncture clinical trial registration can help improving the quality,internationalization and influence of acupuncture clinical trials.Results retrieved from the related databases show that the number of acupuncture clinical trials registration is increasing year by year,especially that from mainland China.The registered clinical trials mainly involve researches on pain management,functional disorders of an organ or system,etc.But most of the acupuncture clinical trials conducted in mainland China have not been registered and the trials quality needs being improved.The registration method is introduced in this paper.
