摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)pretreatment on the number of survival neurons and the expression of glucose regulated protein 78(GRP 78)and growth arrest and DNA damage-inducible gene 153(GADD 153)in the hippocampus in rats with global cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury(CI/R),so as to study its underlying mechanism in neuroprotective action.Methods SD male rats were randomly divided into 3groups(n=48each):sham operation,CI/R model and EA pretreatment group.Global CI/R model was induced by 4-vessel occlusion(bilateral vertebral artery cauterization and bilateral carotid artery ligation for 5min,followed by reperfusion).Before modeling,EA pretreatment of"Baihui"(GV 20)and"Dazhui"(GV 14,2Hz/15 Hz,1mA)was given to rats of the EA pretreatment group for 30 min,once daily for 5days.At 6,12,24 and 48hafter CI/R,the hippocampus tissues of rats in different subgroups were separately sampled to be stained with H.E.method for detecting the number of the survived neurons,stained with TUNEL method for assaying the apoptotic neurons in the CA 1region,and processed with Western blot(WB)for assaying the expression of GRP 78 and GADD 153 proteins.ResultsCompared with the sham group,the number of hippocampal survival neurons was significantly decreased at the time-points of12 h,24hand 48 hafter CI/R in the model group(P<0.05)and was apparently increased by EA pretreatment at 24 hand 48h(P<0.05).The number of the apoptotic neurons in the hippocampal CA 1region at the time-points of 6h,12 h,24hand 48 hafter CI/R was significantly bigger in the model group than in the sham group(P<0.05),and was obviously decreased at 12 h,24h,48 hafter CI/R in the EA pretreatment group(P<0.05).WB detection showed that the expression levels of hippocampal GRP 78 and GADD 153 proteins at the four time-points after CI/R were significantly higher in the model group than in the sham group(P<0.05).Compared with the model group,hippocampal GRP 78 protein expression levels at the 4time-points were further markedly up-regulated(P<0.05),while GADD 153 protein expression levels at the 4time-points were significantly suppressed in the EA pretreatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion EA pretreatment can effectively suppress the number of hippocampal apoptotic neurons and increase survival rate of neurons in CI/R rats,which may be closely associated with its effects in up-regulating the expression of GRP 78 protein and down-regulating the expression of GADD 153 protein in the hippocampus.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on CD 34+endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs)in bone marrow and peripheral blood and the expression of p-AKT protein in bone marrow in focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion(CI/R)rats,so as to investigate its mechanism underlying improvement of cerebral ischemia.Methods A total of 108 male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation(sham)group,model(CI/R)group,and EA group which were further divided into12,24,48hsubgroups(n=12/group,6rats for biochemical analysis and the other 6rats for Western blot analysis).CI/R model was established by occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery for 2hours followed by reperfusion.EA(2Hz/20Hz)was applied to"Baihui"(GV 20),left"Hegu"(LI 4)and left"Taichong"(LR 3)acupoints for 30 min,once daily.The neurological deficit scores were evaluated using Longa 5-grade standards.Flow cytometer was used to detect the percentages of CD 34+EPCs in bone marrow and peripheral blood.The expression of p-AKT protein of bone marrow was detected by Western blot.Results In comparison with the CI/R model group,the neurological deficit score were gradually and significantly decreased 48 hafter CI/R in the EA group(P<0.05),suggesting an improvement of the neurological function after EA.Compared with the sham group,the percentages of CD 34+EPCs in bone marrow and peripheral blood and the expression level of bone-marrow p-AKT protein were significantly up-regulated in the model group at the three time-points after CI/R(P<0.01,P<0.05).Following EA intervention,the percentages of CD 34+EPCs at the three time-points in the peripheral blood,and at time-points of 12 hand 24hin the bone marrow,and the expression levels of p-AKT protein at the three time-points were significantly further up-regulated in the EA group in comparison with the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion EA can effectively up-regulate the percentages of CD 34+EPCs in the bone marrow and peripheral blood,and increase p-AKT protein expression in the bone marrow in CI/R rats,which may contribute to its effect in improving neurological function.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of"Neiguan"(PC 6)and"Sanyinjiao"(SP 6)on morphological changes,myocardial energy metabolism in rats undergoing simulated weightlessness.MethodsA total of 40 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control,weightlessness model,Neiguan(PC 6)and Sanyinjiao(SP 6)groups(10rats/group).EA was applied to PC 6and SP 6acupoints for 30 min,once every other day.The morphological changes were observed by light microscopy after H.E.staining.Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),succinate dehydrogenase(SDH)and ATPase activities in the left ventricular myocardium were measured by colorimetry.Results In weightlessness rats,myocardial pathological changes as loose arrangement,breakage and lytic necrosis of myocardial fibers were found,these changes were obviously improved in rats of both PC 6and SP 6groups.Compared with the control group,the ATPase activity was significantly decreased,while the LDH activity was significantly increased in the model group(P<0.05).After EA intervention,the ATPase activity was obviously increased in the SP 6group(P<0.05),and LDH activity was apparently reduced in both PC 6and SP 6groups(P<0.05).No significant changes were found in myocardial SDH activity after modeling and EA of the two acupoints(P>0.05).Conclusion EA intervention has functions in up-regulating ATP activity and suppressing the myocardial LDH activity in weightlessness rats,which may be related to its effect in improving myocardial pathological changes.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of"Zusanli"(ST 36)-"Yanglingquan"(GB 34)on expression of pain sensory and affection processing-related corticotropin-releasing factor(CRF)receptor,glutamatergic NMDA receptor and GABA receptor subtype genes in the amygdala in chronic constrictive injury(CCI)of the sciatic nerve rats,so as to reveal its mechanism underlying pain relief.Methods Experiments were separately performed in 36 male Wistar rats which were randomized into normal control,CCI model and EA+CCI;normal control,CCI+negative affection(NA)model and CCI+NA+EA groups(n=6in each group).Neuropathic pain model was established by ligature of the left sciatic nerve,and NA model established by ligation of the left sciatic nerve and repeated skin stimulation(acupuncture needle pricking+direct current stimulation)of the paw-bottom,once daily for 3days.EA(2Hz/15 Hz,1mA)was applied to bilateral ST 36-GB 34 for 30min,once daily for 7days.Thermal pain threshold(paw withdrawal latency,PWL)of the bilateral paws was measured by using a Tail-Flick Unit 37360.Expression levels of CRF-1R,CRF-2R,NR 2A,NR 2B,GABAaR and GABAcR genes in the amygdala were determined using quantitative RT-PCR.Results In comparison with the normal control groups,PWL difference(PWLD)values of the bilateral paws of CCI model and CCI+NA model groups were significantly increased(P<0.05).In comparison with the model group,following 7days' EA stimulation,PWLD were considerably decreased(P<0.05),showing a pain relief.RT-PCR results indicated that compared to the normal control group,the expression levels of CRF-1R,CRF-2R,NR2 Aand NR 2Bgenes were apparently increased in the CCI model group(P<0.01,P<0.001),and those of CRF-1R,CRF-2R,NR 2A,NR 2B,GABAaR and GABAcR genes were remarkably down-regulated in the CCI+NA model group(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.001).After EA intervention for 7days,CRF-2R,NR 2Aand NR 2Bwere significantly down-regulated in the CCI+EA group,and CRF-1R,CRF-2R,NR 2B,GABAaR and GABAcR genes were obviously up-regulated in the CCI+NA+EA group(P<0.01,P<0.001).Conclusion Repeated EA stimulation of ST 36-GB 34 has a definite analgesic effect in neuropathic pain and negative affection rats,which may be respectively related to its effects in down-regulating expression of CRF-2R,NR 2Aand NR 2Bgenes,and up-regulating expression of CRF-1R,CRF-2R,NR 2B,GABAaR and GABAcR genes in the amygdala.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on phosphalized extracellular regulated protein kinases(p-ERK)1/2signaling pathway and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αand IL-1βprotein levels in the substantia nigra(SN)in rats with Parkinson's disease(PD),so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of PD.Methods 32 male SD rats were randomly and averagely divided into normal control group,sham-operation group,model group and EA group.PD model was established by intra-dermal-injection of rotenone(1mg/kg,dissolved in DMSO and saline,concentration:0.25mg/mL)at the nape,once daily for 14 days.EA(2Hz,2mA)was applied to"Fengfu"(GV 16)and"Taichong"(LR 3)for 20 min,once daily for14 days.For sham-operation group,subcutaneous injection of the same dose of DMSO and saline was given in the same way.The expression levels of tyrosine hydroxylase(TH),p-ERK 1/2,inflammatory cytokines TNF-αand IL-1βproteins of the SN tissue were detected using Western blot.The rat's horizontal and vertical movement ability was assessed using open-field tests.Results The horizontal and vertical movement scores were significantly lower in the model group than in the normal control group,and markedly higher in the EA group than in the model group(P<0.05).Compared with the normal control group,the expression level of TH protein in the SN was significantly reduced in the model group(P<0.05),while the expression levels of pERK 1/2,TNF-αand IL-1βproteins were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.05).After EA intervention,the expression level of TH protein was significantly increased(P<0.05),and those of p-ERK 1/2,TNF-αand IL-1βproteins were significantly down-regulated(P<0.05)in the EA group compared to the model group.Conclusion EA therapy may improve PD rats' movement ability,which may be associated with its effects in down-regulating the expression levels of p-ERK 1/2,TNF-αand IL-1βproteins and up-regulating the expression of TH protein in the SN.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of"Zusanli"(ST 36)on intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)mRNA expression and mast cell(MC)distribution in the stimulated subcutaneous tissues in normal rats,so as to study the correlation between ICAM-1mRNA expression and MC activity during EA.Methods Twenty Wistar rats were randomly assigned to normal group and EA group.EA(2Hz/15 Hz,0.1mA)stimulation was applied to the bilateral"Zusanli"(ST 36)for 25 min.The expression of ICAM-1mRNA in subcutaneous tissues of the left"Zusanli"(ST 36)area was detected by in situ hybridization,and MC activity of the same tissues was observed under microscope after staining with acetylcholine esterase(AChE)and toluidine blue(TB,counterstaining),respectively.Results Compared with the normal group,the ICAM-1mRNA expressed at a markedly higher level in the subcutaneous tissues of the"Zusanli"(ST 36)region in the EA group(P<0.01),and MC counts were also significantly increased in the EA group(P<0.01).Conclusion EA stimulation up-regulates the expression of ICAM-1mRNA and enhances MC release from the stimulated regional subcutaneous tissue in healthy rats,suggesting ICAM-1played an important role in affecting the movement and recruitment of MCs towards acupoint during EA.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture therapy on 14-3-3,Bcl-2and Bax expression levels in the cerebral cortex in neonatal rats with hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD).Methods Timed pregnant Sprague-Dawley rat dams were delivered either vaginally(normal group),or by C-section(sham-operation group)or by C-section with 5min of global anoxia(anoxia group),with 8rats in each group.The rat pups of the anoxia group were randomly divided into model group and acupuncture group(n=8).Acupuncture stimulation of"Naosanzhen""Niesanzhen"and"Zhisanzhen"acupoints was given beginning from the 14 th day after birth,once daily for 7consecutive days.All rat pups were killed by decapitation on day 21 after birth,and then 14-3-3,Bcl-2and Bax immunoactivity(expression)in the cerebral cortex were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results In comparison with the normal group,the expression level of cerebral cortical 14-3-3was significantly decreased,and that of Bax remarkably increased in the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05).Compared to the model group,cortical 14-3-3and Bcl-2expression levels were markedly up-regulated in the acupuncture group(P<0.01,P<0.05).Compared to the normal group,cortical 14-3-3expression level was obviously lower,but Bax expression level significantly higher in the sham-operation group(P<0.05,P<0.01).No significant differences were found between the model and normal groups in the expression levels of Bcl-2,and between the acupuncture and model groups in the expression levels of Bax(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture intervention can increase the expression of 14-3-3and Bcl-2in the cerebral cortex in HIBD rats.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of "Shenmen"(HT 7)and"Taiyuan"(LU 9)on P 50event-related potentials in rabbits with acute myocardial ischemia(AMI),so as to evaluate the specificity of function of different acupoints.Methods Chinchilla rabbits were randomized into normal control,model,Shenmen(HT 7)and Taiyuan(LU 9)groups(n=10/group).AMI model was established by temporary occlusion of the descending anterior branch of the left coronary artery.EA(1mA,2Hz)was applied to bilateral HT 7and LU 9for 15 min.The anesthetized-rabbit's heart rate(HR)was recorded by using a BIOPAC system and the latency and amplitude of auditory sensory gating potential P 50 were measured by paired clicks auditory conditioning(S 1-P 50)/testing(S 2-P 50)stimulus paradigm using a Neuroscan workstation.Results In comparison with the normal control group,the HR was significantly decreased in the model group and significantly increased in the HT 7group than in the model group(P<0.01).Compared to the normal control group,the amplitude of S 2-P 50 and ratio of amplitude of S 2-P 50/S 1-P 50 were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.01),and remarkably down-regulated in the HT 7group than in the model group(P<0.01),suggesting an inhibitory effect of EA stimulation of HT 7on cerebral cortical auditory gating potential in AMI rabbits.No significant changes were found in the latencies of S 1-P 50,S 2-P 50 potentials in both HT 7and LU 9groups and in the HR,amplitude of S 2-P 50 and ratio of amplitude of S 2-P 50/S 1-P 50 in the LU 9group(P>0.05).Conclusion EA stimulation of HT 7can correct AMI induced decrease of HR and increase of P 50 potential amplitude in AMI rabbits,while EA of LU 9has no this effect,suggesting a relatively specific effect of different acupoints on cortical sensory gating.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of moxa-grain-moxibustion on serum IL-2and IL-10 levels and T-lymphocyte proliferation activity in Lewis tumor-bearing mice,so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improvement of immune function under lung cancer condition.Methods Thirty Lewis tumor-bearing mice were randomly divided into control group,tumor-bearing model group and moxibustion group(n=10in each group).Lung tumor model was established by subcutaneous inoculation of Lewis tumor cell suspension(0.2mL).The ignited moxa-grain was applied to bilateral"Housanli"(ST 36)one session a day for 10 sessions.The animals' daily life activity and the lung tumor growing status were observed every day.MTT[3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide]colorimetry was used to determine T lymphocyte proliferation activity,and serum IL-2and IL-10 contents were detected by ELISA.Results Following moxibustion,no statistical differences were found in the gross tumor volume and body weight between tumor-bearing model and moxibustion groups and between pre-moxibustion and post-moxibustion in the same one group(P>0.05).Compared with the blank control group,serum IL-2content in the model group were significantly decreased(P<0.05),while serum IL-10 level was significantly increased in the model group(P<0.05).After moxibustion,the T-lymphocyte proliferation rate and serum IL-2were markedly increased(P<0.05),but serum IL-10 level was considerably decreased in the moxibustion intervention group in comparison with the tumor-bearing model group(P<0.05).Conclusion Moxa-grain-moxibustion can effectively up-regulate T lymphocyte proliferation activity and balance Th 1/Th 2in tumor-bearing mice,suggesting an enhancement of the body's anti-tumor ability after moxibustion.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)combined with cutaneous"Tongluo"(meridiandredging)stimulation on gastric electrical activities and gastromucosal prostaglandin(PG)level in rats with chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG),so as to investigate its mechanism underlying improvement of gastric function.Methods A total of 40 SD rats were randomly divided into blank control,CAG model,medication and combined therapy groups,with 10 rats being in each group.CAG model was established by intragastric administration of deionized water with N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine(MNNG)solution(5mL/kg),once a day,in combination with alternate fasting and full-eating and lavage of 2% sodium salicylate and warm saline(15%)for 12 weeks.For rats of the combined therapy group,EA was applied to"Zusanli"(ST 36),"Zhongwan"(CV 12),"Tianshu"(ST 25)and"Pishu"(BL 20),two acupoints for one session,followed by cutaneous"Tongluo"stimulation of ST 25 and BL 20 by using an intelligent Tongluo therapeutic instrument for 20 min,once daily for 2months.Electrogastrography(EGG)was recorded using an intelligent gastrointestinal electrographic instrument.Gastromucosal PGE2 and PGF2αcontents were assayed by radioimmunoassay.Results Compared to the control group,the mean frequency and amplitude of EGG,and gastromucosal PGE2 and PGF2αcontents were obviously decreased while the abnormal rhythm index and frequency-variationcoefficiency levels were markedly increased in the model group(P<0.01).Following treatment,the above-mentioned changes of the 6indexes were significantly reversed by both medication and combined therapy(P<0.01).No significant differences were found between the medication and combined therapy groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Combined use of EA and intelligent Tongluo stimulation can significantly improve the gastroelectric dysrhythmia in CAG rats,which may be closely associated with its effect in up-regulating gastric mucosal PGE2 and PGF2αlevels.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture of Neiguan(PC 6),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),etc.on plasma lysophosphatidic acid(LPA)level in patients with acute cerebral infarction(ACI)so as to study its mechanism underlying improvement of ACI.Methods A total of 160 patients with ACI were randomly divided into four groups:medication(Aspirin and Panax Notoginseng Saponins for improving blood circulation),acupuncture,Tongxinluo,and acupuncture+Tongxinluo groups,with 40 cases being in each group.Plasma LPA content was measured using biochemical method,and the therapeutic effects of the 4groups were assessed by neurologic deficit score which were evaluated using the modified standards of the 4th Session of Chinese National Cerebrovascular Conference issued in 1995.Results Following the treatment,plasma LPA levels and neurological deficit scores were significantly decreased in the medication,acupuncture,Tongxinluo and acupuncture+Tongxinluo groups in comparison with pre-treatment in each group(P<0.01),and LPA level and neurological deficit score of the acupuncture+Tongxinluo group were significantly lower than those of the other three groups(P<0.01).Of the four 40 cases in the medication,acupuncture,Tongxinluo and acupuncture+Tongxinluo groups,6,7,7and 12 patients were basically cured,9,8,9and 18 experienced marked improvement in their symptoms,14,16,15 and 6were improved,6,5,4and 2were invalid,5,4,5and 2got worsened,with the effective rates(basically cured+improvement)being 37.5%,37.5%,40.0% and 75.0%,respectively.The therapeutic effect of the acupuncture+Tongxinluo group was significantly superior to those of the other three groups(P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture can accelerate the recovery of neurological function and ameliorate clinical symptoms in ACI patients,which may be related to its effect in lowering plasma PLA.The therapeutic effect of acupuncture+Tongxinluo is relatively better than simple acupuncture and simple medication.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of medicinal-cake-separated moxibustion combined with acupuncture on back-leg activities and plasma substance P(SP)levels in patients with lumbar disc herniation,so as to reveal its mechanism underlying pain relief.Methods A total of 114 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into control group(n=56)and treatment group(n=58)according to a random digits table.Patients of the control group were treated by manual acupuncture stimulation of main acupoints Jiaji(EX-B 2),Huantiao(GB 30,affected side),Chengshan(BL 57,affected side),Kunlun(BL 60,affected side),and supplemented acupoints Yanglingquan(GB 34),Weizhong(BL 40)and Zusanli(ST 36)in combination with wheat-flour-cake separated moxibustion at the main acupoints,and patients of the treatment group were treated by medicinal-cake[Chuanwu(Radix Aconiti),Caowu(Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii),Ruxiang(Olibanum),etc.]-separated moxibustion in combination with manual acupuncture stimulation of the same acupoints mentioned above.Acupuncture treatment was conducted for 30 min,followed by moxibustion for 15 min.The treatment was given once daily for 10 days.The patients' back-leg functional activity ability was assessed using straight-leg raising test,and the pain state assessed using visual analogue scale(VAS)and Japanese Orthopaedic Association(JOA)scores,respectively.The therapeutic effect was evaluated by using"Criteria for Diagnosis and Outcome Evaluation of Clinical Disorders or Syndromes of Chinese Medicine"issued in 1994 and plasma SP content was detected by radioimmunoassay.Results After the therapy,the back-leg activity score and JOA score of both groups were significantly higher than those of pre-treatment in the same one group(P<0.05,P<0.01),and those of the treatment group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The VAS score of the treatment group was remarkably lower than that of the control group(P<0.01).After the treatment,the plasma SP content was markedly lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Medicinal-cake-separated moxibustion therapy can ameliorate pain severity and functional activity of the back-leg pain patients with lumbar disc hernia,which may be related to its effect in reducing blood SP level.

摘要:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of different schemes of mild moxibustion for treatment of(yang-deficiency induced cold-accumulation type)knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods Fifty-nine KOA patients were chosen and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and test group(n=29).Patients of the control group were treated by mild moxibustion of Neixiyan(EX-HE 4)and Waixiyan(ST 35)for 30 min,once daily for 14days(two courses),and those of the test group were treated by mild moxibustion of EX-HE 4and ST 35 for 30min,once daily for 7days(the same to control group),followed by moxibustion of Yaoyangguan(GV 3)and Mingmen(GV 4)once daily for next 7days more.In addition,patients of the two groups were also treated by routine acupuncture stimulation of EX-HE 4,ST 35,Yanglingquan(GB 34),Kunlun(BL 60),etc.The interval between two therapeutic courses was one day.The Lysholm Knee Score Scale(LKSS)was used to evaluate the therapeutic effect.Visual analogue scale(VAS)was employed to assess the patient's knee-joint pain severity(arthralgia),and scores of morning stiffness,arthrocele,and walking restraint degree of the knee-joint were also evaluated before and after the treatment.Results After the treatment,the scores of VAS,morning stiffness,arthrocele and walking restraint degree of the knee-joint of both groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the scores of the test group were obviously lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The effective rate of the test group was 89.66%(26/29)which was obviously higher than that(70.00%,21/30)of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Mild moxibustion of Neixiyan(EX-HE 4)and Waixiyan(ST 35,local acupoints),and Yaoyangguan(GV 3)and Mingmen(GV 4)has a better therapeutic effect for KOA patients than moxibustion of local acupoints only.
摘要:Objective To explore the regularities and characteristics of application of moxibustion therapy for different clinical problems or diseases by using data mining technique.Methods A database on moxibustion therapy was established first by collection,sorting,screening,recording,collation,data extraction of the related literatures published in recent 60 years.By analyzing the appearance-frequency of clinical disorders treated by moxibustion and their effective rates,the regularities and characteristics were summed up.Results Moxibustion therapy has been used to treat 193 types of clinical disorders or diseases up to now,mostly in internal medicine for 72types(accounting for 37%).Of the collected 2 516 articles about moxibustion therapy,1 107 are for problems of the internal medicine,accounting for 44%;those of facial paralysis and uroschesis are 139 and 108respectively.The second and third mostly seen articles are surgery and gynecology respectively.Analysis on the therapeutic effect showed that moxibustion therapy is effective for relieving many types of clinical conditions or diseases,particularly those of pediatrics,surgery and dermatology.By taking both the appearing frequency and efficacy into account,analysis on the therapeutic effect shows that a total of 29 types of clinical disorders are preferably treated by moxibustion,including 12types(41.4%)attributed to the department of internal medicine,10types(34.5%)to the department of surgery,2types to the department of dermatology,3types to the department of gynecology,one to the pediatrics and one to the department of five-organs.Conclusion Moxibustion therapy is effective for many clinical disorders,particularly for those of the department of internal medicine and surgery.

摘要:Moxibustion is a side-effect-free external therapy for relieving different clinical disorders.Its effects in eliminating sports fatigue,preventing myocardial injury in people undergoing exhausted exercise and its underlying mechanisms have been induced great concern by the sports medicine community.In the present paper,the authors make a review on the development of researches on the underlying mechanism of moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of sports myocardial injury in recent 10 years from 1)regulating myocardial endocrine function,2)scavenging free radicals,3)resisting oxidative damage,and4)modulating blood rheology.On the basis of results mentioned above,the authors raise a new potential mechanism underlying protective effect of moxibustion on myocardial cells during exhaustive exercise from the cellular molecular level,i.e.,mitochondrial telomerase-mediated anti-aging.This mitochondrial telomerase-mediated anti-aging may be a new target of moxibustion intervention for protecting cardiomyocytes from injury under exhaustive exercise condition.
摘要:A large body of evidence of clinical and experimental outcomes showed that acupuncture and moxibustion can effectively treat disorders of small intestinal motility.The present article collected related literatures and made an analysis on the correlation between the effect of acupuncture-moxibustion intervention and needle-manipulation techniques,stimulating quantities,acupoint recipes,and the body functional states,as well as the corresponding mechanisms.Results indicate that acupuncture stimulation of acupoints of the limbs mainly enhance the motility of the small intestine,while acupuncture stimulation of acupoints in the abdominal region predominately suppress it,which may be closely associated with its effects on activities of the autonomic nervous system.This conclusion tells us that in clinical treatment of small intestinal hypodynamia,acupoints of the limbs should be selected first while in treating intestinal hyperdynamia,those acupoints in the abdominal region should be taken preferably.In addition,at present,non-invaded detection techniques of the small intestinal motility are definitely and urgently needed and will greatly promote the progress of researches of acu-moxibustion on the mechanism underlying modulation of small intestinal motility.

摘要:Using model organism to replace human subjects for experimental objects is an important part in basic research on acupuncture therapy.In the process of experimental research,the first thing is that if the animal model is suitable for revealing the underlying mechanism of acupuncture intervention,if it is relatively close to structures of the human body.In addition,some factors such as being easy to feed,larger in the volume and body-surface,lesser in fur,stable in the germline and reasonable in the cost should be considered.In current acupuncture study,most experiments were carried out in mice and rats,some were conducted in rabbits and cats,fewer conducted in larger animals like mini-pigs and monkeys.Due to being smaller in both body size and superficial area in the mouse and rat,soft and comate skin in the rabbit and cat,difficult breeding for cattle and horse,experimental studies of acupuncture-meridians are in fact not ideal in these animals.Mini-pig has a larger body size and body surface,being similar to the human body in the skin structure and easy to breed,and the monkey is mostly close to the human in the gene and body size,and is thus an ideal model organism for acupuncture research.Because acupoint and meridians have their space specificity,the usage of larger animal as the model organism is necessary.
