摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture intervention on the diarrhea,mucosal thickness of the small intestine,plasma endotoxin(ET)and D-lactic acid(D-LA)contents,and diamine oxidase(DAO)activity in 5-Fluorouracil(5-Fu)induced intestinal mucosal damage rats,in order to provide an experimental basis for acupuncture therapy in improving chemotherapy-induced intestinal mucosa injury.Methods Thirty female SD rats were randomly divided into control group,model group and acupuncture group(n=10in each group).The intestinal mucosal damage model was established by intraperitoneal injection of5-Fu(50mg/kg,for six consecutive days).Acupuncture stimulation was applied to bilateral"Tianshu"(ST 25)and "Zusanli"(ST 36)once a day for six consecutive days.The changes of body weight and diarrhea score(0-3points,according to Kurita's methods)as well as mucosal thickness of the small intestine were determined.The plasma ET and D-LA contents,and DAO activity were measured by ELISA.Results On the sixth day,the body weight was significantly higher in the acupuncture group than in the model group(P<0.05).After intraperitoneal injection of 5-Fu,both the incidence rate and average score of diarrhea reached the peak on the sixth day in the model and acupuncture groups,and were significantly lower in the acupuncture group than in the model group(P<0.01).On the seventh day,the mucosal thickness of small intestine was significantly lower in the model group than in the control group(P<0.05),but had no remarkable changes after acupuncture intervention(P>0.05).The contents of plasma ET and D-LA and DAO activity level were significantly higher in the model group than in the control group,and markedly decreased in the acupuncture group than in the model group(P<0.01).Conclusion Acupuncture intervention can lower the incidence rate and average score of diarrhea and down-regulate the increased plasma ET and D-LA contents and DAO activity levels in 5-Fu induced intestinal mucosal damage rats,suggesting a somewhat protective effect of acupuncture against chemotherapy induced damage of the intestinal mucosal barrier.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of chronological moxibustion on plasma corticosterone(CORT),corticotrophin releasing factor(CRF)and adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)levels in rheumatoid arthritis(RA)rats,so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of RA.Methods A total of 144 SD rats were randomly divided into normal control,model,moxibustion,sham-adrenalectomy(ADX,sham-ADX),ADX and ADX+moxibustion groups which were further separately divided into 4subgroups(4time-points:12pm,6am,12 am,6pm,n=6/subgroup).The RA model was established by subcutaneous injection of Freund's complete adjuvant(FCA,0.1mL)into the right footpad(for rats of the latter 5groups).In rats of the ADX and ADX+moxibustion groups,bilateral adrenal glands were removed under anesthesia.Moxibustion was applied to unilateral"Shenshu"(BL 23)and"Zusanli"(ST 36)for 10 min,once daily for 6days in a week,and continuously for 3weeks.The paw swelling volume was measured and plasma CORT,ACTH and CRF contents were assayed by ELISA and the circadian rhythm was analyzed by cosine curve fitting(cosinor)method.Results The paw swelling volume was significantly increased in the model group than in the normal control group(P<0.05),and decreased remarkably in the moxibustion group(P<0.05).The paw volume was markedly increased in the ADX+moxibustion group in comparison with the moxibustion group(P<0.05).In intact rats,plasma CRF and ACTH contents were significantly increased(P<0.05),and plasma CORT was obviously decreased in the model group(P<0.05).After moxibustion,the increased plasma CRF and ACTH contents and the decreased plasma CORT level were considerably reversed(P<0.05).In ADX rats,plasma CRF,ACTH and CORT contents of ADX and ADX+moxibustion groups had no significant changes compared with the sham-ADX group(P>0.05).Results of the cosine curve fitting analysis showed that the peak phases of plasma CORT contents were-355.78°at about 23:43in the normal control group,-309.05°at about 20:36in the model group,-326.50°at about 21:46in the moxibustion group,-291.65°at about 19:27in the ADX group and-300.87°at about 20:31in the ADX+moxibustion group.The peak phases of plasma ACTH contents were-324.08°at about 21:37in the normal control group,-295.39°at about 19:41in the model group,-310.81°at about 20:43in the moxibustion group,-146.51°at about 9:46in the ADX group and-267.64°at about 17:50in the ADX+moxibustion group.The peak phases of plasma CRF contents were-257.47°at about 17:10in the normal control group,-184.74°at about 12:19in the model group,-263.00°at about 17:32in the moxibustion group,-202.46°at about 13:30in the ADX group and-232.84°at about 15:31in the ADX+moxibustion group.It suggests that in the intact RA rats,moxibustion intervention may inhibit modeling-induced decrease of the circadian rhythm of plasma CORT,and hyperactivity of ACTH and CRF circadian rhythm.ConclusionMoxibustion intervention can relieve paw swelling in RA rats and modulate the circadian rhythm activities of plasma CORT,ACTH and CRF levels(HPA axis activities)in intact animals.
摘要:Objective To observe the relatively specific effect of electroacupuncture(EA)of"Xiajuxu"(ST 39,the lower he-sea point of the small intestine),etc.on the level of serum TNF-α,Interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and high mobility group protein B 1(HMGB 1)contents,and duodenumα7nicotinic acetylcholine receptor(nAchR)expression in duodenal ulcer rats,so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improving duodenal ulcer.Methods Sixty SD rats were randomly divided into 6groups:normal control,model,Xiajuxu(ST 39),Zusanli(ST 36),Shangjuxu(ST 37)and Yanglingquan(GB 34).The duodenal ulcer model was established by subcutaneous injection of 10% Cysteamine Hydrochloride(300mg/kg),following by giving the rats with access to water containing Cysteamine.EA(10Hz/50 Hz,1-3mA)was applied to bilateral ST 39,ST 36,ST 37 and GB 34for30 min,once daily for 10 days.The ulcer scores(0-5points)of the duodenal mucosa were assessed according to modified Moraes' methods.Serum TNF-α,IL-1βand HMGB 1levels were assayed by ELISA and the expression of neuronalα7nAchR in the duodenal tissue was detected by Western blot.Results After modeling,the ulcer score,serum TNF-α,IL-1βand HMGB 1contents were significantly increased(P<0.01)and the expression level ofα7nAchR in the duodenal tissue was significantly downregulated in comparison with the normal control group(P<0.01).Following EA intervention,the serum TNF-αand HMGB 1contents in the Xiajuxu(ST 39),Zusanli(ST 36),Shangjuxu(ST 37)and Yanglingquan(GB 34)groups,and the ulcer scores and IL-1βcontent of the Xiajuxu(ST 39),Zusanli(ST 36)and Shangjuxu(ST 37)groups were considerably reduced,and the expression ofα7nAchR in both Xiajuxu(ST 39)and Zusanli(ST 36)groups was evidently increased(P<0.05,P<0.01).No significant changes were found in the ulcer score,serum IL-1βcontent,andα7nAchR expression in the Yanglingquan(GB 34)group andα7nAchR expression in the Shangjuxu(ST 37)group in comparison with the model group(P>0.05).Conclusion EA stimulation of ST 36,ST 37 and ST 39 can reduce ulcer injury in duodenal ulcer model rats,which may be associated with their effects in down-regulating serum TNF-α,IL-1βand HMGB 1contents and up-regulatingα7nAchR expression of the duodenal tissue,possibly by suppressing immune and inflammatory reactions and regulating nicotinic activity.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture stimulation of bilateral"Hegu"(LI 4)and "Taichong"(LR 3,the so-called"Four Gate Points")on learning-memory ability,hippocampal interleukin-1(IL-1)βand IL-2and amyloidβ(Aβ)42levels in Alzheimer's disease(AD)rats,so as to reveal its underlying mechanism in improving AD.Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation,model,medication and acupuncture groups(n=12rats in each group).The AD model was created by microinjection of streptozotocin(10μL,3mg/kg)into the lateral ventricle(repeated the microinjection once two days later).Bilateral LR 3and LI 4were punctured with filiform needles and stimulated manually,once a day,6days a week for 4weeks.The rats of the medication group were intragastric perfusion of Donepezil HCl(0.45mg/kg),once a day for 4weeks.The learning-memory ability was detected by Morris water maze swimming tests.The immunoactivity of hippocampal Aβ42was detected by immunohistochemistry,and the contents of IL-1βand IL-2in the hippocampus tissue were determined by ELISA.Results After modeling,the average escape latency of Morris water navigation task was significantly increased,and the target-platform crossing times of space probe trials were significantly reduced in the model group(P<0.05),suggesting a lowering of learning-memory ability.After acupuncture intervention,the increased escape latency and the decreased target-platform crossing times were reversed,suggesting an improvement of the learning-memory.The hippocampal Aβ42immunoactivity and IL-1βcontent were significantly higher in the model group than in the sham operation group(P<0.05),but the hippocampal IL-2content was markedly decreased in the model group(P<0.05).Following the interventions,the increased Aβ42expression and IL-1βcontents,and the decreased IL-2contents in the hippocampus were also reversed in both the acupuncture and medication groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture may improve learning-memory ability in AD rats,which may be associated with its effects in reducing hippocampal Aβ42expression and IL-1βcontent and in up-regulating IL-2level.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)of"Baihui"(GV 20)and"Zusanli"(ST 36)in combination with administration of polysaccharide of Gastrodia elata Blume(PGB)on the expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in the paraventricular nucleus of hypothalamus(PVN)of cerebral ischemia(CI)rats,so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of CI.Methods Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into five groups:normal control,model,EA,PGB,and EA+PGB(n=8/group).The cerebral ischemia model was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO).EA(2Hz,2V)was applied to"Baihui"(GV 20)and"Zusanli"(ST 36)for 30 min,once daily for 14 days.The rats of the PGB and PGB+EA groups were treated by intragastric gavage of PGB at a dose of 100mg/kg,once daily for 14 successive days.The expression of BDNF and VEGF in the PVN of hypothalamus was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results After MCAO,the BDNF and VEGF immunoreactions(IR)positive neuron numbers and expression level in the PVN of the hypothalamus were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.05)and were further up-regulated after administration of EA and PBG(P<0.05).The effects of EA+PGB were evidently superior to those of simple EA and simple PBG in up-regulating BDNF and VEGF IR-positive neuron numbers and expression levels in the PVN(P<0.05).Conclusion EA combined with PGB can up-regulate the expression of BDNF and VEGF in the PVN of hypothalamus in cerebral ischemia rats,which might contribute to its effect in improving cerebral ischemia.

摘要:Objective To observe the effectiveness of short thrust needling(STN,close-to-bone needing)plus electroacupuncture(EA)in healing knee cartilage tissue and in regulating expressions of cartilage vitamin K dependent gamma-glutamyl carboxylase(GGCX),matrix metalloproteinase-13(MMP 13)and serum uncarboxylated matrix gla protein(ucMGP)in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis(KOA),so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improvement of KOA.Methods Forty New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into normal,model,EA and STN+EA groups(n=10in each group).The KOA model was created by cutting the medial lateral ligament and medial parapatellar arthrotomy of rabbits as described by Hulth and colleagues.For rabbits in the STN+EA group,"Neixiyan"(EX-LE 4)and"Waixiyan"(ST 35)were punctured with filiform needles by controlling the needle-tip obliquely to advance till the bone surface of the knee joint cavity,and"Yinlingquan"(SP 9)and"Zusanli"(ST 36)punctured by holding the filiform needles vertically along the tibia,and"Liangqiu"(ST 34)was punctured by controlling the filiform needle to advance till the thigh-bone,followed by EA stimulation.EA(2Hz/100 Hz,1-3mA)was applied to unilateral EX-LE 4and ST 35,and ST 36 and SP 9,separately for 20 min,once daily for 20 days except weekends.The pathological changes of the knee cartilage cells were observed using H.E.staining,Toluidine blue staining and electron transmission microscope,respectively.The immunoactivity of GGCX of the knee cartilage was determined by immunohistochemistry and the expression levels of GGCX and MMP 13 proteins in the cartilage were detected by Western blot,and the content of serum ucMGP was assayed by ELISA.Results H.E.staining,Toluidine blue staining and electron transmission microscope results showed that pathological changes of knee cartilage cells in structure after modeling were improved in both the STN+EA and EA groups,particularly the former group.In comparison with the normal group,the expression levels of GGCX protein in the cartilage tissue showed by both Western blot and immunohistochemistry were notably down-regulated(P<0.01),and the cartilage MMP 13 protein expression and serum ucMGP content were considerably up-regulated in the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05).After STN+EA and simple EA,the decreased GGCX and the increased MMP 13 expression and serum ucMGP content were reversed(P<0.01,P<0.05).The effects of STN+EA were significantly superior to those of simple EA in down-regulating MMP13 and ucGLA levels,and upre-gulating GGCX expression.Conclusion Both STN+EA and simple EA can effectively improve pathological changes of cartilage cells in KOA rabbits,which may be associated with their actions in up-regulating the expression of cartilage GGCX protein and lowering the levels of serum ucMGP content and cartilage MMP 13 protein expression,and the effects of STN+EA are better.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of moxibustion of"Baihui"(GV 20),etc.on learning-memory ability,hippocampal amyloidβ(Aβ)protein expression and immune activity in mild cognitive impairment(MCI)rats,so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improving cognitive impairment.Methods A total of 48 SD rats were randomly divided into normal,model,moxibustion,and medication groups(n=12in each group).The MCI model was established by intraperitoneal injection of2 mL mixture solution containing D-galactose(120 mg·kg-1·d-1)and Sodium Nitrite(90 mg·kg-1·d-1),once daily for40 days.Moxibustion(separated by Radix Aconiti Praeparata cake)was applied to "Baihui"(GV 20),"Fengfu"(GV 16)and"Dazhui"(GV 14)for 20 min,once daily for 2weeks,with one day's rest between two weeks.The rats of the medication group were given with Nimodipine(2mg·kg-1·d-1,t.i.d.)by lavage for 2weeks(except Sundays).The learning-memory ability was detected by Morris maze water swimming tasks.The expression level of hippocampal Aβprotein was detected by immunohistochemistry,and those of hippocampal presenilin-1(PS-1)mRNA and cleaving enzyme(BACE-1)mRNA were detected by real time-PCR,and serum IL-6level was assayed by ELISA.Results Following modeling,the average escape latency of location navigation tests of Morris maze water swimming tests,the expression levels of hippocampal Aβprotein,PS-1mRNA and BACE-1mRNA,and serum IL-6content were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.01),while the target-platform crossing times and the percentage of target-quadrant swimming duration of spacial probe trials were remarkably decreased in the model group(P<0.01).After moxibustion,the increased escape latency,hippocampal Aβprotein,PS-1mRNA and BACE-1mRNA expression and serum IL-6content,and the decreased target-platform crossing times and the percentage of target-quadrant swimming duration were reversed in both moxibustion and medication groups(P<0.01).The effects of the moxibustion group were obviously superior to those of the medication group in decreasing the escape latency,and in up-regulating the target-platform crossing times,the percentage of target-quadrant swimming duration,and down-regulating hippocampal Aβprotein,PS-1mRNA and BACE-1mRNA expression levels and serum IL-6content(P<0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion is effective in improving MCI rats' learning-memory ability,which may be associated with its functions in down-regulating the levels of hippocampal Aβprotein,PS-1mRNA and BACE-1mRNA expression and serum IL-6content,possibly by blocking Aβoverexpression-induced inflammation cascade.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on behavior changes and the adundance levels of transforming growth factor beta 3(TGF-β3)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)proteins in the hippocampus of rats with chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)-induced depression,so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of depression.Methods Forty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the following groups:control,model,EA,and medication(Fluoxetine),n=10in each group.The depression model was established by CUMS combined with solitary raising for 28 days.EA(2Hz,0.6mA)was applied to"Baihui"(GV 20)and"Yintang"(GV 29)for 20 min,once daily before CUMS every day.The rats of the medication group were given with Fluoxetine(10mg/kg,5mL/kg)before CUMS every day.The behavioral changes(crossing and rearing locomotion)were detected by using open field tests.The expression levels of TGF-β3and bFGF proteins of the bilateral hippocampus tissues were detected using biotin label-based antibody protein chips.Results Compared to the control group,the crossed grid-square numbers and rearing times were significantly decreased in the model group(P<0.01).Following EA and medication interventions,the CUMS induced decreases of the crossed grid-square number and rearing times were notably reversed in both EA and medication groups(P<0.01),suggesting an amelioration of depression after the intervention.The relative expression level of hippocampal TGF-β3 was down-regulated(fold change=0.48,vs the control group)and that of bFGF up-regulated(fold change=1.36,vs the control group)in the model group.In both the EA and medication groups,the down-regulated TGF-β3expression and the up-regulated bFGF protein expression were suppressed(TGF-β3:fold change=1.61,1.61 and bFGF:fold change=0.61,0.45,vs the model group respectively).Conclusion EA can improve the depression-like state in depression rats which may be associated with its effect in up-regulating hippocampal TGF-β3protein level and down-regulating bFGF protein expression via promoting neurogenesis.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of"Quchi"(LI 11)on arterial blood pressure(BP),sympathetic nerve activity,barorefiex sensitivity(BRS)and expression of brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)enzyme subunit p 47 phox in the rostral ventrolateral medulla(RVML)in hypertension rats.Methods A total of 45 male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation,artificial cerebro-spinal fluid(aCSF),model,"Quchi"(LI 11),and Jianyu(LI 15)groups(n=9in each group).The hypertension model was established by microinjection of AngⅡ(200μg·kg-1·day-1)into the lateral ventricle(A-C:1.0mm,L:1.4mm,H:4.5mm)for 2weeks(aCSF for aCSF group).After 1week's AngⅡ perfusion,EA(2Hz/15 Hz,1mA)was applied to bilateral"Quchi"(LI 11)or"Jianyu"(LI 15)for 20 min,once daily for two weeks.The mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)were detected by using a Non-Invasive Blood Pressure System(tail cuff method).The BRS(BP-to-HR transfer function)was determined by calculating the ratio of HR fluctuation(HR∶HR,between post-and pre-intravenous injection of phenylephrine)/MAP fluctuation(MAP∶MAP,between post-and pre-phenylephrine injection),the urinary norepinephrine(NE)level in 24 hwas assayed by ELISA.Real-time PCR and Western blot were used to detect the mRNA and protein expression of BDNF and p 47 phox in the RVML region tissue.Results Following modeling,the MAP,HR and 24h-urinary NE levels and p 47 phox mRNA and protein expression levels in the RVML were significantly increased(P<0.01),and the BRS was decreased significantly(P<0.01).After EA intervention,the MAP,HR and 24h-urinary NE levels and p 47 phox mRNA and protein expression levels in the RVML were considerably lower in the LI 11 group than in the model group(P<0.05),while the BRS level was markedly increased in the LI 11 group compared with the model group(P<0.05).The expression levels of BDNF mRNA and protein in the RVLM region were obviously up-regulated in the LI 11 group compared with the model group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the LI 15 group and the model group in the MAP,HR,24h-urinary NE,BRS,BDNF mRNA and protein and p 47 phox mRNA and protein expression levels(P>0.05).Conclusion EA stimulation of"Quchi"(LI 11)can down-regulate arterial blood pressure,sympathetic nerve activity,and increase the baroreflex sensitivity in hypertension rats,which may be related to its effects in down-regulating p 47 phox mRNA and protein expression in the RVML.
摘要:Objective To observe the curative effect of needling stimulation of the dorsal segment(7spots below the spinous processes from T3 to T9)of the Governor Vessel for gastro-esophageal reflux disease(GERD).Methods A total of 60 cases of GERD patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group and medication group(n=30in each group).For patients of the acupuncture group,the depression spots below the spinous processes from T3 to T9,including both acupoints [Shenzhu(GV 12),Shendao(GV 11),Lingtai(GV 10),Zhiyang(GV 9),Jinsuo(GV 8)]and non-acupoints(T4,T8)were punctured with filiform needles,once every other day for 8weeks.Patients of the medication group were asked to take Omeprazole capsules(20mg/time)twice a day for 8weeks.The curative effects were assessed by"Reflux Disease Questionnaire"score(RDQ score of heartburn,retrosternal pain,acid regurgitation and food regurgitation,0-40points),the"Guidelines for Clinical Research on Chinese New Herbal Drugs"(GRED symptom scale scores about the 38 symptoms of the digestive system,respiratory system,five-sense organs,cardiovascular system,back-pain,sleep,headache,daily life activity,etc.0-114 points,0-3scales),and "the Consensus about Diagnosis and Treatment of GERD of Traditional Chinese Medicine",respectively.Results Following the treatment,both RDQ score and GERD symptom scale score were significantly decreased in patients of the acupuncture and medication groups(P<0.05),and the effect of acupuncture was markedly superior to that of the medication in lowering RDQ and GERD scale scores(P<0.05).The cured plus markedly effective rate for RDQ score and the effective rate for GERD scale score were 70.0%(21/30)and 93.3%(28/30)respectively in the acupuncture group,being significantly higher than those [43.3%(13/30)and 66.7%(20/30)]in the medication group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture stimulation of the dorsal segment of the Governor Vessel is effective in improving clinical symptoms GERD patients.
摘要:Objective To observe the influence of acupuncture needle stimulation-induced sharp pain on the curative effect of acupuncture therapy for primary dysmenorrhea(PD)patients with cold damp stagnation syndrome(CDSS).MethodsA total of 87 PD patients with CDSS experiencing abdominal pain(≥40mm in visual analogue scale,VAS)were randomly assigned to deqi-expectation group and no-deqi-expectation group which were further divided into deqi-expectation+sharp pain(n=31),deqi-expectation+no-sharp pain(n=12),no-deqi-expectation +sharp pain(n=17),no-deqi-expectation +nosharp pain(n=27)groups.On the first day of abdominal pain attack,bilateral Sanyinjiao(SP 6)were punctured respectively with thicker needles with deeper insertion for deqi-expectation patients and thin filiform needles with shallow insertion for no-deqiexpectation patients.The needles were manipulated for 30 swith uniform reinforcing-reducing method for all the deqi-expectation patients,which was repeated once again every 10 min during 30 min of needle retention.The VAS was used to evaluate the patients' abdominal pain severity before treatment and 0,10 min after acupuncture needle withdrawal.Results Following acupuncture stimulation of SP 6,the VAS scores of menstrual pain at both 0min and 10 min after withdrawing acupuncture needles were significantly decreased in the deqi-expectation+ sharp pain group,deqi-expectation+ no-sharp pain group,no-deqi-expectation+sharp pain group and no-deqi-expectation + no-sharp pain group(P<0.05),and that of 10 min post-needle withdrawal was markedly lower than that of 0min in the deqi-expectation+ sharp pain group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found in the VAS difference values at different time-points between deqi-expectation plus sharp pain and deqi-expectation+no-sharp pain groups,and between no-deqi-expectation+sharp pain and no-deqi-expectation+no-sharp pain groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture stimulation of SP 6has an immediate analgesic effect in PD women with cold damp stagnation syndrome,which was not affected by needling-induced sharp pain,deqi-expectation,and thicker or thinner needle with shallow and deeper insertion.
摘要:Objective To observe the curative effect of acupuncture intervention in reducing visceral fat content and secretary function in abdominal obesity patients.Methods A total of 73 cases of abdominal obesity patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group(n=50)and control group(n=23)according to the randomized block design.For patients of the acupuncture group,Zhongwan(CV 12),Tianshu(ST 25),Daheng(SP 15),Daimai(GB 26),Shuidao(ST 28),Waiguan(SJ 5)and Zulinqi(GB 41)were punctured with filiform needles,followed by electroacupuncture stimulation(2Hz/100 Hz,4-8mA)of bilateral ST 25 and GB 26 for 20min,once every other day for 8weeks.In addition,the patients were also given with health education in every session of treatment.The patients of the control group were asked to receive health education including restraining wine or liquor and salt intake,stopping smoking,increasing physical activities,regular daily life habit,etc.The abdominal fat thickness was detected using a color Doppler ultrasonography,and serum visfatin level was assayed using ELISA.Additionally,the body weight,body mass index(BMI),waist circumstance(WC)and hip circumference(HC)were determind.Results After the treatment,the subcutaneous fat thickness levels including the subcutaneous fat at the mid-point between the xyphoid and the umbilicus(S1)and the right side of the umbilicus(S2),and serum visfatin content,WC and HC in both control and acupuncture groups,visceral fat at the mid-point between the xyphoid and the umbilicus(V1)and at the right side of the umbilicus(V2),and antero-hepatic fat(AHF),perirenal fat(PRF),and body weight and BMI in the acupuncture group were significantly reduced in comparison with pre-treatment in the same one group(P<0.05,P<0.001),while the ultrasonic visceral fat index[UVI,=(V1+V2)/(S1+S2)]of the control group was markedly increased(P<0.05).The S1,V1,V2,AHF,PRF and UVI levels,and BMI,WC and HC were significantly lower in the acupuncture group than in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.001).No statistical differences were found between the two groups in the S2,body weight and serum visfatin levels(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture therapy can effectively reduce the visceral fat content,being better than simple health education.Both acupuncture treatment and health education can decrease serum visfatin level,regulating visceral fat's secretion.

摘要:Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture therapy in improving pulmonary functions and clinical symptoms of pneumoconiosis patients.Methods A total of 120 pneumoconiosis patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group(n=59)and control group(n=61).The patients of the control group were ordered to take Acetylcysteine capsule(200mg/time,t.i.d.)for 12 consecutive weeks and the patients of the acupuncture group received both acupuncture(twice a week)and Acetylcysteine capsule for 12 consecutive weeks.The used acupoints were Baihui(GV 20),Tanzhong(CV 17),Zhongwan(CV 12),Qihai(CV 6),and bilateral Kongzui(LU 6),Taiyuan(LU 9),Yuji(LU 10),Zusanli(ST 36),Fenglong(ST 40),Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Feishu(BL 13),Xinshu(BL 15),Ganshu(BL 18),Pishu(BL 20),Shenshu(BL 23)and Geshu(BL 17)and stimulated by needle-twirling reducing or reinforcing techniques.The pulmonary functions including spirometric forced vital capacity(FVC)and forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV 1),FEV 1/FVC,and diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide(DLCO)were detected by using a Medgraphics Cardio 2Combined VO 2/ECG Exercise System.The severity of cough and shortness of breath(SOB)was detected by Visual Analog Scale(VAS),and the patient's health status was assessed using Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Assessment Test(CAT score,0-40points).Results Compared with pretreatment in the same one group,FEV 1level and FEV 1/FVC after 12weeks' treatment were obviously increased in both the control and acupuncture groups(P<0.05),while the CAT scores at the 12 th week,the cough and SOB scores at the 6th,12 th and 16 th week after the treatment were decreased notably in both groups(P<0.05),and the cough and SOB scores of the acupuncture group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).No significant changes were found in the FVC and DLCO levels in both groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture therapy can improve symptoms of cough,shortness of breath,as well as pulmonary functions in pneumoconiosis patients.
摘要:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of oblique needling in combination with Tuina at the sacroiliac joint for patients experiencing sacroiliac joint injury.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with sacroiliac joint injury were randomized into routine Tuina group and oblique needling combined with Tuina(Acu+Tuina)group(n=60in each group).For patients of the Tuina group,routine Tuina as rotating,pressing-rubbing,digital pressing,articular moving,etc.was manipulated at Shangliao(BL 31),Ciliao(BL 32),Zhongliao(BL 31),Xialiao(BL 30),Huantiao(GB 30),Zhibian(BL 54),Weizhong(BL40)and sacroiliac joint area.For patients of the Acu+Tuina group,the anatomical points between the bilateral iliac crests and the sacral joints were punctured obliquely with disposable acupuncture needles.The treatment was conducted for 30 min every time,once daily for 3weeks except weekends.The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)and Oswestry Disability Index(ODI,concerning intensity of pain,lifting,ability to care for oneself,ability to walk,ability to sit,sexual function,ability to stand,social life,sleep quality,and ability to travel)were employed to evaluate the patients' reactions and functional activity changes before and after the treatment.Results Following the treatment,of the two 60 patients in the Tuina and Acu +Tuina groups,12 and 26cases were cured,20 and 20experienced marked improvement,16 and 11were effective,12 and 3invalid,with the effective rates being 80% and 95%,respectively.The effective rate of the Acu+Tuina group was significantly superior to that of the Tuina group(P<0.05).The VAS scores and ODI were considerably decreased in both groups after the treatment and were significantly lower in the Acu+Tuina group than in the Tuina group(P<0.01).Conclusion Oblique needling the anatomical points in the sacroiliac joint region combined with Tuina manipulation is evidently better than simple Tuina in reducing pain and in improving functional activity and life quality in sacroiliac joint injury patients.

摘要:Objective To explore the regularities and features of compound reinforcing-reducing manipulation of acupuncture filiform needles in the treatment of clinical conditions or diseases by using data mining technique,so as to guide clinical practice.Methods At first,the data base about the reinforcing-reducing manipulation(CRRM)of filiform needles for different clinical problems was established by collection,sorting,screening,recording,collation,data extraction of the related original papers published in journals and conferences and related academic dissertations from Jan.1of 1950 to Jan.31 of 2015by using key words of"acupuncture""moxibustion""needling""filiform needle",and according to the included and excluded standards.Results A total of 130 835 papers met the included standards were collected.Outcomes of data mining in the present study showed that 1)the CRRM is most frequently applied in the internal medicine,followed by surgery,gynecology,ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology,dermatology,and pediatrics,successively,mostly for lumbago and leg pain;2)the heat-producing needling manipulation is the most frequently applied technique,followed by cool-producing needling,dragon-tiger warring,yang occluding in yin,yin occluding in yangtechniques;3)the highest effective rate of CRRM is for problems of the pediatrics,followed by those of the internal medicine,surgery,ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology,dermatology,and gynecology;4)the most frequently used acupoints are Zusanli(ST 36),then Sanyinjiao(SP 6),stimulated by heat-producing needling,and Zusanli(ST 36),then Quchi(LI 11),stimulated by cool-producing needling,and Huantiao(GB 30),stimulated by dragon-tiger warring needling.Conclusion The compound reinforcing-reducing manipulation of acupuncture is most frequently applied to problems in the internal medicine,predominately for lumbago and leg pain,and the best effectiveness is for pediatric conditions.The heat-producing needling and cool-producing needling are most frequently applied at Zusanli(ST 36)and the dragon-tiger warring manipulation is most frequently applied at Huantiao(GB 30).

摘要:Excitatory amino acids toxicity is an onset causation of cerebral ischemia injury cascade reaction,and eventually leading to brain cell necrosis and apoptosis.Acupuncture is reported to be effective for ischemic stroke in clinical practice and animal experiments,but its mechanism is still under exploring.In this paper the authors introduce the research status of antiexcitatory amino acids toxicity effect of acupuncture in ischemic stroke animals by summarizing its effects on subunits of ionotropic glutamate receptor(NMDA/AMPA)and metabotropic glutamate receptors(mGluRs),and on astrocyte activities.Results indicated that acupuncture intervention may down-regulate the expression levels of cerebral multi-types(NR 1,NR 2B)of glutamate NMDA receptors,up-regulate expression of glutamate transporter-1,NR 2A,cannabinoid receptor(CBR)type 1and 2,and suppress activities of cerebral astrocytes,reduce the content of extracellular glutamate to lower its toxicity and to improve stroke at last.The present paper may provide a reference for acupuncture research on ischemic brain injury.
摘要:A dispute about whether women are suitable to receive acupuncture treatment in the period of menstruation has existed for many years.There are some reports about acupuncture treatment induced abnormal menstruation in women experiencing menstruation.However,according to long-term clinical practice and current development of acupuncture therapy,the authors of the present paper hold that there are no absolute contradictions for acupuncture treatment of women during menstruation.Additionally,acupuncture induced menstrual disorder has no enough data support of large size example clinical trials.The key points of acupuncture administration for women during menstruation are:1)reasonable selection of acupoints prescriptions,and 2)appropriate acupuncture needle manipulations,particularly avoiding strong stimulation.
