摘要:Objective To observe the effect of transcutaneous otopoint electrostimulation(TCOES)on behavior and expression of hippocampal interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)expression in lithium-pilocarpine induced chronic spontaneous temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)rats,so as to investigate its antiepileptic mechanism.Methods Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into control,model and TCOES groups(n=12in each group).The epilepsy model was established by intraperitoneal injection of lithium chloride(127.2mg/kg),scopolamine(1mg/kg,20 h after the 1st injection)and pilocarpine(10mg/kg,30 m in after scopolamine injection).Rats of the control group were treated by injection of normal saline(i.p.i.).Transcutaneous electrostimulation(1mA,20Hz)was applied to bilateral otopoints"Heart" "Lung" and "Subcortex"for 20 min,once daily for 6weeks except the weekends.The behavior reactions were observed by a video monitoring system.The expression of IL-1β and TNF-αproteins and genes in the hippocampus were determined by immunofluorescence and quantitative real-time PCR,separately.Results Behavioral observation showed that after TCOES intervention,the frequency of epilepsy attack was significantly decreased in comparison with pre-treatment(P<0.05).Immunofluorescence and real-time PCR showed that compared with the control group,the immunoactivity of IL-1βand TNF-αin both hippocampal CA 1and CA 3 regions and hippocampal IL-1β and TNF-α gene expression were obviously increased in the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Following TCOES,the increased hippocampal IL-1β and TNF-αand IL-1β mRNA and TNF-α mRNA expression levels were all suppressed(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion TCOES intervention has an antiepileptogenic effect in temporal lobe epilepsy rats,which may be related to its effects in down-regulating expression of proinflammatory cytokine IL-1β and TNF-α in the hippocampus.
摘要:Objective To compare the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)and moxibustion(Moxi)on visceral pain and expression of vanilloid receptor subtype 1(VR 1)and heat shock protein(HSP)70 in"Tianshu"(ST 25)region in colorectal distension(CRD)-induced visceral hypersensitivity(VHS)rats.Methods Fifty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control,VHS model,43℃-moxi,46℃-moxi,1mA-EA and 3mA-EA groups(n=10in each group).The VSH model was established by CRD once daily for 14 days.EA or Moxi stimulation was applied to bilateral"Tianshu"(ST 25)for 10 min,once daily for consecutive 10 days.The abdominal withdrawal reflex(AWR)scores(0-4points)were rated according to Al-Chaer's and coworkers' standards(2000)and the expression levels of VR 1and HSP 70 in bilateral ST 25 area tissues detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The AWR scores for 20,40,60 and 80mmHg CRD pressures were significantly increased compared to the normal control group(P<0.01)and notably decreased after 43 ℃-and 46 ℃-moxi,and 1mA-and 3mA-EA stimulation of bilateral ST 25 in comparison with the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01),and the effect of 46 ℃-moxi was apparently superior to those of 1mA-EA at 40 and 80mmHg,and 3mA-EA at 40mmHg(P<0.05).After modeling,the expression of both VR 1and HSP 70(percentages of area of positive-cells)in ST 25 region had no significant changes(P>0.05).Compared to the model group,the expression levels of VR 1in the 43 ℃-moxi and 46 ℃-moxi groups,and HSP 70 in the 43 ℃-moxi and 46 ℃-moxi,1mA-EA and 3mA-EA groups were significantly up-regulated(P<0.01),but without obvious changes in the expression of VR 1in the 1mA-EA and 3mA-EA groups(P>0.05).The effects of 46 ℃-moxi were considerably better than those of 43 ℃-moxi,1mA-EA and 3mA-EA in up-regulating VR 1and HSP 70expression(P<0.05,P<0.01).No significant differences were found among the 43℃-moxi,1mA-EA and 3mA-EA groups in the expression of VR 1 and HSP 70(P>0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion at 43℃ and 46℃ and EA at 1mA and 3mA,especially the 46℃-moxi,can relieve visceral pain in visceral hypersensitivity rats,which may be related to their effects in up-regulating expression of VR 1and HSP 70in"Tianshu"(ST 25)area.
摘要:Objective To investigate the distribution of substance P(SP)-positive nerve fibers in local skin tissues of the five shu-points of the Pericardium Meridian in rats for revealing the differential innervations of the five acupoints.MethodsSix adult male SD rats were used in the present study.Under deep anesthesia,the rats received transcardiac perfusion with 4%polyformaldehyde+phosphate buffered solution,followed by dissecting the local skin tissues from the sites corresponding to five shu-points"Zhongchong"(PC 9),"Laogong"(PC 8),"Daling"(PC 7),"Jianshi"(PC 5),and "Quze"(PC 3)in the human body.The tissues were sagittally cut into sections(20μm)using a freezing microtome,followed by fluorescent immunohistochemical and histochemical staining with SP,phalloidin and DAPI,respectively.The distribution of SP-positive fibers were observed under fluorescent microscope and laser confocal microscope.Results In general,SP expressed on the thin sensory fibers in the skin tissue.SP-positive nerve fibers distributed in a free single style in the epidermis and dermis,and gathered together to form a bundle in the subcutaneous layer.After counting the number and length of free single fibers in the epidermis and dermis of each of the five shu-points,we found that no significant differences existed in the density between the PC 9and PC 8regions,as well as among the PC 7,PC 5,and PC 3regions(P>0.05).In contrast,the density of SP-positive nerve fibers in the former two acupoints(PC 9and PC 8)was significantly higher than that of anyone of the latter three acupoints(P<0.01).In addition,SP positive nerve fibers mainly ran in parallel to the vessel-like structure.Conclusion The local skin tissues of acupoint PC 9,PC 8,PC 7,PC 5,and PC 3of the Pericardium Meridian express SP-positive fibers,which presents a decreasing tendency in the density from the distal to the proximal part of the forelimb,reflecting a relative specificity of the innervations of the five shu-points.

摘要:Objective To observe influences of heat-reinforcing needling(HRN)on scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptoms and expression of plasma ATP synthase subunit O(Atp 5O)mRNA and lysosomal V1 subunit B2(Atp 6V1B2)mRNA in patients with wind-cold-damp retention type rheumatoid arthritis(RA),so as to investigate its biological mechanisms in"heat production".Methods Sixty wind-cold-damp retention type RA patients were randomly allocated to HRN group(n=30)and control group(n=30).Guanyuan(CV 4),Qihai(CV6),bilateral Zusanli(ST 36),and local acupoints near the knee-joint were selected for needling stimulation.Patients of the HRN group were treated by manipulating the acupuncture needle with HRN,and those of the control group treated by manipulating the needle with uniform reinforcing-reducing method.The treatments were performed once daily,5days a week,and two weeks altogether.The other 30 healthy volunteers were recruited as the normal control group.The TCM symptom scoring system(0-31 points,11items as the severities of pain,swelling and tenderness of the knee-joint)was used to evaluate the status of RA,and quantitative real-time PCR(RT-PCR)was used to detect the expression of plasma Atp 5O mRNA and Atp 6 V1B2 mRNA following removal of red blood cells.Results After the treatment,the TCM scores of both the HRN and control groups were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and that of the HRN group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Before the treatment,the expression levels of plasma Atp 5 O mRNA and Atp 6 V1B2 mRNA in RA patients were significantly lower than those of the normal group(P<0.05),and after the treatment,the expression levels of plasma Atp 5O mRNA and Atp 6 V1B2 mRNA were significantly increased in both HRN and control groups compared to pre-treatment in the same one group(P<0.05),and the up-regulated Atp 5O mRNA and Atp 6 V1B2 mRNA levels were remarkably higher in the control group than in the HRN group(P<0.05).Conclusion Both heat-producing needling and uniform reinforcing-reducing needling can improve RA patients' clinical symptoms,which may be associated with their actions in up-regulating expressions of plasma Atp 5 O mRNA and Atp 6 V1B2 mRNA.
摘要:Objective To compare the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)preconditioning and post-conditioning on hippocampal neuronal nitric oxide synthase(nNOS)expression in rats with anxiety-like behavior,so as to explore the reasonable EA intervention time.Methods Forty-two SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:normal 1,normal 2,anxiety model 1,anxiety model 2,EA-pre-conditioning and EA-post-conditioning.The anxiety model was established by giving the rats with repeated foot shock stimulation(0.8mA,2-25s/time,10 times in 5min)combined with isolation-raising.Before or after modeling,EA stimulation was applied to"Baihui"(GV 20)and "Yintang"(GV 29)for 20 min,once a day for 7 days.Elevated plus maze(EPM)tests were performed to determine the percentages of time spent in the open arms and the percentages of entries into the open arms in 5min for evaluating the animals' anxiety-like behavioral activities.The reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)was used to detect hippocampal nNOS mRNA expression and the immunohistochemical staining adopted to detect the expression of nNOS protein in the hippocampal CA 1and CA 3areas,respectively.Results Compared with their own normal control group 1 and 2,both the percentage of time spent in the open arms and the percentage of entries into the open arms were significantly decreased in model group 1 and 2(P<0.05,P<0.01).After pre-and post-conditioning of EA,the decreased proportions of time spent and entries into the open arms were considerably increased(P<0.05),suggesting an improvement of anxiety-like behavior activities after EA intervention.The expression levels of hippocampal nNOS mRNA and nNOS protein in the hippocampal CA 3region were significantly higher in the model group 1 and 2 than in their own normal control group 1 and 2(P<0.01),but those of nNOS protein in the CA 1 area were markedly lower in the model group 1and 2than in their own normal control group 1 and 2(P<0.01).Following pre-and post-conditioning of EA,the increased expression levels of nNOS mRNA and protein of CA 3 area and the decreased level of nNOS protein of CA 1 area were all notably reversed(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Both pre-and post-conditioning of EA can improve anxiety-like behavior in anxiety rats,which may be associated with its effects in down-regulating hippocampal nNOS expression.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)combined with rehabilitation training on motor function and expression of neuronal growth associated protein 43(GAP-43)and synaptophysin(SYP)in hippocampal CA 3region in rats with focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury(CI/RI).Methods A total of 46 SD rats were randomized into normal control,CI/RI model,rehabilitation training(RT),paralysis-side(unilateral)-EA+RT,and bilateral-EA+RT groups(n=6in the normal control group,and n=10in each of the other group).The CI/RI model was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO)and reperfusion.EA(5Hz/10 Hz,2mA)was applied to the unilateral"Quchi"(LI 11)and"Housanli"(ST 36)on the affected side or bilateral LI 11 and ST 36 for 30min,once daily for two weeks except the Sunday.The neurological deficit severity(Zea Longa score)was assessed 24 h,7and 14 days after modeling.The immunoactivity of GAP-43 and SYP in the CA3 region of the hippocampus was detected using immunohistochemistry.Pathological changes of the prefrontal cortex was observed after H.E.staining.Results Following modeling,the neurological deficit scores of the model,RT,unilateral-EA+RT and bilateral-EA+RT groups were gradually decreased,and were significantly lower on day 7and 14 in the bilateral-EA+RT group and on day 14 in the unilateral-EA+RT group than in the model group(P<0.05).The effect of the bilateral-EA+RT group was obviously superior to those of both RT and unilateral EA+RT groups in improving neurological function(P<0.05).Results of immunohistochemical staining displayed that the expression levels of GAP-43 and SYP in the CA 3region of hippocampus were significantly up-regulated in the model group than in the normal control group(P<0.05),and further obviously up-regulated in both unilateral-and bilateral-EA+RT groups(P<0.05).No significant changes of GAP-43 and SYP protein expression in the RT group compared with the model group(P>0.05),and the expression levels of GAP-43 and SYP protein in the bilateral-EA+RT were significantly higher than those in the unilateral EA+RT group(P<0.05).H.E.staining showed that the ischemic injury of cells(neuronal apoptosis and enlargement of intercellular space)of the prefrontal cortex was relatively milder in the EA+RT groups.Conclusion EA plus RT can promote the recovery of motor function in CI/RI rats,which may be associated with its function in increasing the expression of GAP-43 and SYP in hippocampal CA 3region.The effects of bilateral-EA+RT is obviously better than those of unilateral EA+RT.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of moxibustion stimulation of"Ganshu"(BL 18)region on contents of T cells in the peripheral blood in rats with Diethylnitrosamine(DEN)-induced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),so as to explore its effective in improving immunoregulatory function.Methods Seventy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into control group(n=10),model group(n=15),direct moxibustion-15sgroup(n=15),direct moxibustion-30sgroup(n=15)and ginger-separated moxibustion group(n=15).The primary HCC precancerous lesion model was established by intraperitoneal injection of DEN(50mg/kg),once every 3days for 10 weeks.Moxibustion was applied to bilateral"Ganshu"(BL 18)for about 15min(3 moxacones),or 30min(six moxa-cones),with or without ginger-slice separation,once every other day for 10 consecutive weeks.The contents of T cells of CD 3+,CD 4+,CD 4+,CD 8+and CD 4+,CD 8+and CD 4+/CD 8+/CD 8+ ratio in the peripheral blood were detected with Flow Cytometey(FCM),pathological changes of liver were observed by light microscope after hematoxylin-eosin(HE)stain.ResultsCompared to the control group,the contents of blood CD 3+ ratio in the peripheral blood were detected with Flow Cytometey(FCM),pathological changes of liver were observed by light microscope after hematoxylin-eosin(HE)stain.ResultsCompared to the control group,the contents of blood CD 3+ and CD 4+ and CD 4+ T cells and ratio of CD 4+ T cells and ratio of CD 4+/CD 8+/CD 8+ were significantly down-regulated,while that of CD 8+ were significantly down-regulated,while that of CD 8+T cells was obviously increased in the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).After moxibustion intervention,the decreased CD 3+T cells was obviously increased in the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).After moxibustion intervention,the decreased CD 3+ and CD 4+ and CD 4+ T cells and CD 4+/CD 8+ T cells and CD 4+/CD 8+ levels and the increased CD 8+ levels and the increased CD 8+ T cell contents were reversed in all the 3 moxibustion groups(P<0.05,P<0.01),except CD 3+ T cell contents were reversed in all the 3 moxibustion groups(P<0.05,P<0.01),except CD 3+ in the ginger-separated moxibustion group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences among the three moxibustion groups in the CD 3+ in the ginger-separated moxibustion group(P>0.05).There were no significant differences among the three moxibustion groups in the CD 3+,CD 4+,CD 4+,CD 8+,CD 8+ and CD 4+ and CD 4+/CD 8+/CD 8+ levels(P>0.05).In addition,the pathological changes of liver tissue as central vein deviation or absence,disordered arrangement of hepatic cords,narrowing of the hepatic sinusoid,hyperplasia of collagen fibers,formation of tuberosis,unevenness of liver cells with nuclear anachromasis and higher heteromorphism,and macronucleus oncocytes in primary HCC rats were not observed or milder after moxibustion intervention.Conclusion Direct moxibustion and ginger-separated moxibustion can improve pathological changes of hepatic cells in rats with HCC,which may be associated with its actions in raising blood CD 3+ levels(P>0.05).In addition,the pathological changes of liver tissue as central vein deviation or absence,disordered arrangement of hepatic cords,narrowing of the hepatic sinusoid,hyperplasia of collagen fibers,formation of tuberosis,unevenness of liver cells with nuclear anachromasis and higher heteromorphism,and macronucleus oncocytes in primary HCC rats were not observed or milder after moxibustion intervention.Conclusion Direct moxibustion and ginger-separated moxibustion can improve pathological changes of hepatic cells in rats with HCC,which may be associated with its actions in raising blood CD 3+ and CD 4+ and CD 4+T cell contents and reducing CD 8+T cell contents and reducing CD 8+T levels to improve immune function.
摘要:Objective To observe the curative effect of herbal-medicine-powder-separated"Long-snake moxibustion"over the Governor Vessel at different vesiculation conditions in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Method A total of120 RA patients received herbal-powder-separated long-snake moxibustion in the present study and randomized into Banmao(Cantharides,CANT,being able to promote skin vesiculation for enhancing the therapeutic effect)-0g group,CANT-1.5g group and CANT-3.0g group(n=40in each group)according to the dosage of CANT used in the herbs-medicinal powder.In addition to Cantharides,the medicinal powder also contained Shexiang(Moschus,1g),Dingxiang(Flos Caryophylli,1g)and Rougui(Cinnamon bark,1g).When treated,the patient was asked to take a prone position,the ginger juice was evenly smeared on the patient's back from Dazhui(GV 14)to Yaoshu(GV 2,about 3cm wide),then,the above-mentioned medicinal powder was spread on the smeared ginger juice,followed by putting a layer of gauze,ginger powder and ignited moxa-stick,respectively.The treatment was conducted once every 30 days,and twice altogether.The visual analog scale(VAS)was used to assess the pain severity of moxibustion-induced skin vesiculation on the patient's back in 24 hafter moxibustion.The severity of vesiculation was assessed according to the status of vesicles appeared at the local skin(0point:no vesicles;3points:string-of-beads-like vesicles with the vesicle diameter being less than 2cm;6points:foliated vesicles with the vesicle diameter being larger than 2cm).The patient's symptoms and dysfunction of hand-knee joints were scored,and serum rheumatoid factor(RF),C-reactive protein(CRP),immune globulin IgM and IgG contents were assayed by ELISA,and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)was determined by using Westergren method.Results After moxibustion,of the three 40 RA patients in the CANT-0g,CANT-1.5g and CANT-3.0g groups,0,10 and 12cases were under control in their symptoms,7,16 and 19experienced marked improvement,17,9and 6were improved,16,5and 3failed in the treatment,with the effective rates being 60.0%(16/40),87.5%(35/40)and 92.5%(37/40),respectively.The curative effects of CANT-1.5g and CANT-3.0g were significantly superior to that of CANT-0g(P<0.01).Both the scores for skin vesiculation status and pain severity were significantly higher in the CANT-3.0g group than in the CANT-0g(no skin vesiculation)and CANT-1.5g groups,and markedly higher in the CANT-1.5g group than in the CANT-0g group(P<0.01).Following the treatment,the symptom score and joint dysfunction score,ESR level,and serum RF,CRP,IgM and IgG contents were considerably decreased in the three groups in comparison with pre-treatment in the same one group(P<0.01);and those of the CANT-1.5g and CANT-3.0g groups were markedly lower than those of CANT-0g group(P<0.01).In addition,CANT-3.0g was notably superior to CANT-1.5g in lowering symptom and joint dysfunction scores,ESR,serum RF and CRP contents(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the CANT-1.5g and CANT-3.0g groups in serum IgM and IgG levels and in the therapeutic effect(P>0.05).Conclusion Long-snake moxibustion combined with CANT-induced vesiculation has a good curative effect in the treatment of RA,which may be associated with its effects in lowering ESR level,and serum RF,CRP,IgM and IgG contents.The curative effect of vesiculation moxibustion is far better than non-vesiculation moxibustion,but mild vesiculation moxibustion is recommended due to severe pain of CANT-3.0g.
摘要:Objective To compare the efficacy difference between the mild moxibustion and acupuncture stimulation at trigger points in the treatment of shoulder and back myofascial pain syndrome(MPS),so as to provide a reference for clinical treatment of MPS.Methods A total of 60 patients with shoulder and back MPS were equally and randomly divided into mild moxibustion group and acupuncture group.The myofascial trigger points in the shoulder and back regions were stimulated with mild moxibustion for 20-100 min every time or punctured with filiform needles by retaining the needles for 30 min after twirling for a while.The treatment was conducted once daily for 10 days.The short-form McGill pain questionnaire(SF-MPQ)including the pain rating index[PRI consisting of 15descriptors(11sensory,4affective)which are rated on an intensity scale as 0=none,1=mild,2=moderate and 3=severe],present pain intensity(PPI)index of the standard MPQ and a visual analogue scale(VAS)was used to assess the patient's pain severity before and after the treatment.Results Following the treatment,of the two 30 cases of MPS patients in the acupuncture and mild moxibustion groups,1and 7were cured,11 and 17experienced marked improvement,14 and 5were effective,4and 1was invalid,with the effective rates being 86.7%(26/30)and 96.7%(29/30),respectively.The cured plus markedly effective rate of the mild moxibustion group was significantly better than that of the acupuncture group(P<0.001).Self-comparison of the two groups showed that the scores of PRI,VAS and PPI after the treatment were apparently reduced in both groups compared with pre-treatment(P<0.001),but without significant differences between the two groups in the PRI,VAS and PPI scores after the treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion Mild moxibustion stimulation of myofascial trigger point is effective in relieving shoulder-back MPS,being comparable to that of acupuncture therapy.
摘要:Objective To observe the curative effect of long-snake moxibustion in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.Methods A total of 66 patients with allergic rhinitis were randomized into moxibustion group(n=34)and control(herbal medicine)group(n=32)according to a computer-aided random digit table.Long-snake moxibustion stimulation over the Governor Vessel from Dazhui(GV 14)to Mingmen(GV 4)was performed for 30 min,once a week for 2consecutive months.Patients of the control group were treated by oral administration of"Yupingfeng"Granules(containing radix astragali,atrctylodis macrocephalae,etc.)one bag(5g)every time,3times a day for 2months.Plasma IL-2,IL-6,cAMP and cGMP contents were detected using ELISA.Results After the treatment,of the 32 and 34cases in the control and moxibustion groups,2and 6were cured,12 and 16experienced marked improvement in their symptoms(nasal mucosal edema,obstruction and discharging,sneezing),12 and 9were improved,6and 3invalid,with the effective rates being 81.3% and 91.2%,respectively.Results of ELISA showed that after the treatment,plasma IL-2,IL-6,and cGMP contents were significantly decreased in both the moxibustion and control groups(P<0.01),while plasma cAMP levels and cAMP/cGMP ratios were significantly up-regulated in both groups(P<0.01).The therapeutic effects of moxibustion were considerably superior to those of herbal medicine "Yupingfeng"in clinical effective rate and lowering plasma IL-2,IL-6,cGMP contents(P<0.01),and in raising plasma cGMP level and cAMP/cGMP ratio(P<0.01).Conclusion Long-snake moxibustion treatment is effective in improving symptoms of allergic rhinitis patients,which may be related to its function in mobilizing the body's immune function.

摘要:Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of acupuncture combined with fire dragon moxibustion and simple acupuncture therapy in the treatment of patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR)of kidney-deficiency-cold type.Methods Ninety kidney-deficiency-cold type CSR outpatients were randomly divided into control(acupuncture,n=40)and treatment(acupuncture +moxibustion,n=50)groups.Acupuncture stimulation was applied to Dazhui(GV 14),Ganshu(BL 18),Tianzhu(BL 10)and Houxi(SI 3),Jiaji(EX-B 2),Taixi(KI 3),Shenmai(BL 62),Zusanli(ST 36),Shenshu(BL 23),etc once daily,5times a week,and two weeks altogether,except the weekend.In addition,for patients of the treatment group,herbal medicinal powder separated-fire dargon moxibustion was applied to the patient's back from GV14 and Fengmen(BL 12)on the top to Zhibian(BL 54)area at the buttock,once every 3days,5times altogether.The therapeutic effect was evaluated according to"CSR-20-points scale"including 3aspects as neck-shoulder pain,upper-limb pain-numbness,finger numbness;working and daily life ability and physical conditions(Spurling tests,sensory,myodynamia and tendon reflex).Results1 After the treatment,CSR-20-points scores in both treatment and control groups were significantly increased in comparison with pre-treatment in each group(P<0.05),with the score being markedly higher in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).2 Of the 40 and 50cases in the control and the treatment group,2and 13 were cured,14 and 24experienced a remarkable improvement,12 and 11were effective,and 12 and 2failed,with the total effective rates being 70.0%(28/40)and96.0%(48/50),respectively.The therapeutic effect of the treatment group was notably better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with fire dragon moxibustion is superior to simple acupuncture therapy in improving clinical symptoms of patients with CSR of kidney-deficiency-cold type,being a recommendable scheme in clinical practice.
摘要:Objective To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of acupoint injection of medicine in the treatment of patients with acute cerebral ischemia stroke(ACIS).Methods Ninety ACIS patients were randomized into control,Cobalamin and Gangliosides groups(n=30in each group).Patients of the control group were treated by routine medication(i.e.,drugs for improving microcirculation,anti-platelet aggregation,cerebral dehydration,neuronutrition,intracranial pressure reduction and blood lipid-lowering,etc.)and motor function rehabilitation training,once daily,six times a week for two weeks;and those of the Cobalamin and Gangliosides groups were treated by injection of Cobalamin(1mL)or Gangliosides(1mL)into Baihui(GV 20)and Zusanli(ST 36),respectively and rehabilitation training(being the same to the control group).The patients' motor ability and physical status were assessed according to clinical neurologic deficit score(CNDS)and activity of daily living scale(ADLS).Results After the treatment,of the three 30 cases in the control,Cobalamin and Gangliosides groups,0,4and 2were cured,9,15 and 14experienced marked improvement in their symptoms,12,8and 10 were improved,9,3and 4invalid,with the effective rates being 70.0%(21/30),90.0%(27/30)and 86.7%(26/30),respectively.In comparison with pre-treatment,the CNDS of the three groups were all significantly decreased and the ADLS notably increased(P<0.05).The effects of both Cobalamin and Gangliosides were remarkably better than those of the control in lowering CNDS and raising ADLS(P<0.05),and the score of ADLS in the Cobalamin group was markedly higher than that in the Gangliosides group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint injection of both Cobalamin and Gangliosides can effectively improve acute ischemic stroke patients' neurological function and daily life living ability.
摘要:Objective To observe the routes of acupuncture needle-insertion of the "nape four acupoints"(BL 10,GB20,GB 12,SJ 16)in the human cadavers and to explore the possible trigger-point location of cervical headache,so as to provide anatomic evidence for their clinical application.Methods Five human cadavers(male 3,female 2)were used in the present study.The needle inserting routes of the four acupoints Tianzhu(BL 10),Fengchi(GB 20),Wangu(GB 12)and Tianyou(SJ 16)at the nape were labeled with gentian violet first.The occipital tuberosity was taken as the original point,the horizontal projection of superior nuchal line as the abscissa,and the posterior median line as the ordinate,then,a two-dimension rectangular coordinate system was established to measure the horizontal projection of the"nape four points"and to estimate the trigger-point location,followed by making an analysis on their spatial relationship,and determining the reasonable routes of needle-insertion of the4 acupoints.Results For the"nape four points",six needling-inserting routes or spots could be taken:(1)Tianzhu(BL 10)Ⅰ(perpendicular insertion),i.e.,about 0.5 cunlateral to the posterior midline in parallel to BL 10;(2)Tianzhu(BL 10)Ⅱ(perpendicular insertion),about 0.6cun lateral to the posterior midline at the skull base level;(3)Tianzhu(BL10)Ⅲ(perpendicular insertion),about 0.6 cun below the BL 10 and about 1.3 cunlateral to the posterior midline,or the right inferior of BL 10 for oblique insertion;(4)Fengchi(GB 20)Ⅰ(oblique insertion along the skull base toward the lower part of the nose-tip),about 2.25 cunlateral to the posterior midline at the depression site of the junction of the sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles on the upper portion in parallel to the skull base level and 2.25 cunlateral to the posterior midline;(5)Wangu(GB 12)Ⅰ(perpendicular insertion along the bone surface),about 0.7 cun above the GB 12,i.e.,the inferior of the junction of the mastoid posterior root and the skull base;(6)Tianyou(SJ 16)Ⅰ,about 0.7 cun below the SJ 16,i.e.,the posterior margin of the sternocleidomastoid muscle,being the same to SJ 16 in the operation.Conclusion According to anatomical analysis,it is recommended to insert the acupuncture needles into the nape four acupoints along the Tianzhu(BL 10)Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Fengchi(GB 20)Ⅰ,Wangu(GB 12)Ⅰ and Tianyou(SJ 16)Ⅰroutes mentioned above for achieving a better therapeutic effect.Cervical headache may have a close relation with the trigger-points at the occipital nape.
摘要:Objective To observe the duration of local reactions after subcutaneous micro-invasive catgut-embedding stimulation in Zusanli(ST 36)region in normal human body by using magnetic resonance(MR)T2 -mapping,so as to find a reasonable interval between every two catgut-embedding performance.Methods A total of 8normal volunteers(3women,and 5men)were enrolled in the present study.Before and 8h,and 3,7,14,21,28 and 35days after the subcutaneous micro-invasive embedment of catgut(Gauge 2.0,2cm long)in the left Zusanli(ST 36)area,the local T2 -weighted images(T2 WI)and fatsuppression T2 -weighted images(FS T2 WI)were detected and recorded by using MR scan(GE Optima MR 360 1.5T)and analyzed using FuncTool software.Results Compared with pre-catgut-embedment,the local signal strength of T2 FS WI and T2 relaxation time began to rise on the 8th hour after catgut-embedment,peaked on the 3rd day,began to descend on the 7th day,but being still higher than pre-embedment,and turned to the normal level on the 21 st day to the 35 th day.Results of statistical analysis displayed that compared with pre-catgut-embedment,T2 relaxation time levels were significantly higher on the 8th h,day 3,7and 14 after the embedment(P<0.01),and were comparable to that of pre-embedment on day 21,28 and 35(P>0.05).Conclusion Catgut-embedment of Zusanli(ST 36)induces an apparent change of MRI signals from the 8th h to the 14 th day in normal volunteer subjects,suggesting that an interval of 21 days may be reasonable for the micro-invasion catgut-embedment in clinical practice.
摘要:Objective To observe the variation of sacral vertebrates and foramen involving the bilateral Shangliao(BL 31),Ciliao(BL 32),Zhongliao(BL 33)and Xialiao(BL 34,Baliao acupoints),so as to provide an anatomic basis of acupoint needling in clinical practice.Methods A total of 290patients[161men and 129 women,mean age and standard deviation,(63.6±13.3)years old and(59.5±13.3)years old,respectively]with intact pelvic structure were recruited in the present study.Computed tomography(CT)scans of intact pelves were taken using a SOMATOM Definition AS 128 and the acquired signals were imported into Siemens Syngo Inspace platform for 3Dreconstruction,followed by identification,classification and analysis of the variation of sacral foramen(Baliao acupoint).Results The total variation rate of posterior sacral foramen(Baliao acupoint)was 20.34%(59/290).The detected three types of variation were sacral vertebrae number variation(4sacral vertebraes,6sacral vertebraes),fusion variant(lumbosacral fusion,sacrococcygeal fusion,lumbosacral & sacrococcygeal fusion,and lumbosacral fusion & S 4variation)and mixed type.Conclusion Variations of sacral vertebrae including the number and fusion exist in the human body,suggesting an increase of the difficulty of acupoint needling.Since posterior iliac spine does not change generally,it is recommended to be used as a reference point for locating the Baliao acupoint.

摘要:Abundant clinical practice has showed that acupuncture therapy has some distinct advantages in the treatment of chronic functional constipation(CFC),such as faster positive effect,shorter course of treatment,long-term post-effect,etc.In the present paper,the authors reviewed progresses of researches in clinical treatment of CFC with acupuncture therapy in recent years.Results of clinical trials indicated that among the 3types(slow transit,outlet obstruction and mixed type)of constipation,acupuncture therapy showed a better effect for slow transit constipation by improving severity,increasing defecation frequency,reducing abdominal distension,easing patients' psychological discomfort and raising daily life activity,probably by ameliorating colonic motility,enteric nervous system function and neurotransmitter secretion(vasoactive intestinal peptide,acetylcholine,substance P,nitrix oxide,etc.).Most of the chosen acupoints(ST 25,SP 15,SP 14,CV 6,BL 25,BL 23,etc.)are located in the projection region of colon.For outlet obstruction defecation,the effect of acupuncture is relatively better for chalasia type,in spite of generally being poorer in the efficacy.Majority of the selected acupoints(GV 1,BL 32,BL 33,BL 30,etc.)are located near the pelvic floor region.In addition,the clinical therapeutic effects of acupuncture need being confirmed by more large sample,multiple centers randomized controlled trials.
摘要:Neuropathic pain is one of the common chronic syndromes in clinical practice.It has been demonstrated that the chronic neuropathic pain and glial cells in the central nervous system are closely related to each other.When inducing analgesic effect in neuropathic pain,EA suppressed OX-42 labeled activation of microgliacytes in dorsal horns of the spinal cord,downregulated release of nitric oxide(NO),expression of P 2X4 receptor,intracellular mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK),extracellular regulated protein kinases(ERK),proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,interferon(IF)-γand up-regulated neurotrophin-3expression in neuropathic pain rats.In regard to spinal astrocytes,acupuncture suppressed peripheral nerve injury induced activation of GFAP-labeled astrocytes,down-regulated the expression levels of macrophage inflammatory proteins(MIP)-1,MIP-1β,MIP-3α,TNF-αmRNA and IL-1βmRNA,etc.in the dorsal horns of the spinal cord.Up to now,the underlying mechanisms of acupuncture in regulating activities of glia cells,and interaction between neurons and glia cells,and the related pathways in the peripheral and central systems remain unclear.The effects of some related protein and gene expressions involving in acupuncture analgesia need being confirmed by adopting different approaches.
摘要:Through systematic review of the literature on the treatment of different clinical conditions or illnesses with acupuncture and moxibustion therapies in the 20 th century,the authors of the present paper analyzed the evolution process of classification of related clinical disorders.It was found that the classification and nomenclature of clinical disorders or illnesses are defined in terms of traditional Chinese medicine or western medicine,which undergoes an evolutionary process from western medicine to Chinese medicine and back to western medicine.This evolution process is due to the intrinsic requirement'of clinical practice such as thinking ways of diagnosis and treatment or to be influenced by extrinsic factors including introduction of western medicine at the Republic period,policies of"advanced studies of traditional Chinese physcians"and"western medicine doctors"learning from traditional Chinese medicine,and the leading role of western medicine,etc.The former issue about the diagnosis and treatment of clinical problems needs being researched further.
