      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of"Futu"(LI 18),etc.on activities of satellite glial cells(SGCs)in the dorsal root ganglia(DRG)in rats with neck-incision pain so as to explore its mechanism underlying reduction of post-surgical pain of thyroidectomy.Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into control,model,EA-Futu(LI 18),EA-Hegu(LI 4)-Neiguan(PC 6),and EA-Zusanli(ST 36)-Yanglingquan(GB 34)groups,with 20 rats in each group.The neck-incision pain model was established by making a longitudinal incision and repeated mechanical stimulation.In the EA-LI 18,EA-LI 4-PC 6and EA-ST 36-GB 34 groups,EA stimulation was administrated for 30 min,once a day,continuously for 3days.The thermal pain threshold(PT)of the neck-incision region was detected.The immunoactivity of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP,a specific marker for SGCs)and connexin 43(Cx 43)of DRGs(C 2-C 6)was determined by fluorescent immunohistochemistry.The expression levels of GFAP,IL-1β,IL-6,and TNF-αmRNAs were determined by quantitative Real-time PCR,and the contents of IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-αassayed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and the expression of Cx 43 protein was detected by Western blot.Results After EA intervention at LI 18 and LI 4-PC 6(but not ST 36-GB 34),neck incisioninduced reduction of the thermal PT was obviously prolonged in comparison with the model group(P<0.05),suggesting apain relief.The expression levels of GFAP,IL-1β,IL-6and TNF-αmRNAs and Cx 43 protein,and the contents of IL-1β,IL-6and TNF-αin C 2-C 6DRGs were all significantly up-regulated in the model group relevant to those of the control group(P<0.05).Following EA,modeling induced dramatic increase of expression of GFAP,IL-1β,IL-6and TNF-αmRNAs and Cx 43 protein in both EA-LI 18 and EA-LI 4-PC 6groups,and the contents of IL-1βand TNF-αin the EA-LI 18 group,IL-6in the EA-LI 4-PC 6group was considerably down-regulated(P<0.05).In comparison with the model group,no significant changes were found in all the abovementioned indexes of EA-ST 36-GB 34 group except the down-regulated IL-1βand TNF-αmRNAs,in the contents of IL-1βand TNF-αof the EA-LI 4-PC 6group,and in the IL-6content of the EA-LI 18group(P>0.05).Conclusion EA stimulation of LI 18 and LI 4-PC 6can significantly suppress pain reaction of neck incision in the rat,which is closely associated with its effects in down-regulating the activity of SGCs,decreasing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and in weakening the expression of Cx 43 in the cervical DRGs.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of"Nape Seven Needles"on the expressions of Delta-like ligand 4(Dll 4)and hairy and enhancer of split homolog 1(Hes 1)in cervical intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD)rats,so as to explore its mechanism of deferring the degeneration of cervical intervertebral disc.Methods SD male rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group and a nape seven needles group(n=11in each group).The IVDD model was established by staticdynamic imbalance method."Nape Seven Needles"acupoints were bilateral"Fengchi"(GB 20),"Tianzhu"(BL 10),"Wangu"(GB 12)and"Fengfu"(GV 16).The rats in the nape seven needles group were treated for 4weeks,once a day,with needles retained for 20 minutes.Tilted plane test was used to observe the angle changes.The morphology of cervical intervertebral disc was observed after H.E.stain.Dll 4and Hes 1mRNA and protein expression in intervertebral disc tissues were detected by realtime fluorescent quantitative PCR and Western blot,respectively.Results Compared with that in the normal group,the angle of tilted plane in the model group decreased(P<0.05);compared with that in the model group,the angle in the nape seven needles group increased(P<0.05).The structure of cervical intervertebral disc was normal and the fiber ring was arranged orderly in the normal group.The morphology of cervical intervertebral disc is irregular in the model group,and the number of nucleus pulposus cells decreased compared with that in the normal group.The structure of cervical intervertebral disc in the nape seven needles group was similar to that in the normal group.Compared with that in the normal group,the expression of Dll 4mRNA decreased in the model group(P<0.05).The expression of Dll 4mRNA in the nape seven needles group was higher than that in the model group(P<0.05).The expression of Hes 1mRNA in the model group was higher than that in the normal group(P<0.05).The protein expressions of Dll 4and Hes 1in the nape seven needles group were higher than those in the model group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture at"Nape Seven Needles"acupoints can defer the degeneration of cervical intervertebral disc,which may be related to its regulation of Dll 4and Hes 1mRNA and protein expression in the intervertebral disc tissue.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture on expression of receptor tyrosine kinase(RTK)c-kit in interstitial cells of Cajal(ICCs),carbon monoxide(CO)and heme oxygenase(HO)in colon tissue after colonic anastomosis,so as to explore the mechanism of acupuncture in improving gastrointestinal motility.Methods SD rats were randomly devided into control group,model group and acupuncture group.The model was established using colonic anastomosis.Each group was further devided into 3,5,and 10d(time-point)subgroups(n=10 in each).Acupuncture was applied to acupuncture group at bilateral"Zusanli"(ST 36),"Sanyinjiao"(SP 6)and"Taichong"(LR 3)for 15 min,once daily after modeling.The first defecation time was recorded,and the intestinal propulsive rate was measured.The expression of c-kit in colon tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry.The content of CO,the activities of HO-1 and HO-2 in colon tissue were detected by biochemical method and ELISA,respectively.Results Compared to the control group,the intestinal propulsive rate and the expression level of c-kit in ICCs were decreased in the model group(P<0.05),the content of CO and the activity of HO-1 were increased in model 3d and 5d subgroups(P<0.05),the activity of HO-2 was increased in model 3d subgroup(P<0.05),while the opposite results appeared in model 5dand 10dsubgroups(P<0.05).Compared to the model group,the first defecation time was shortened(P<0.05),the intestinal propulsive rate and the expression level of c-kit in ICCs were increased in the acupuncture group(P<0.05),the content of CO and the activity of HO-1 were decreased in acupuncture 3d and 5 dsubgroups(P<0.05),the activity of HO-2 was decreased in acupuncture 3d subgroup(P<0.05),while the opposite result appeared in acupuncture 10 d subgroup(P<0.05).Compared to the 3d subgroup,the intestinal propulsive rate and the expression level of c-kit in ICCs were increased,the content of CO,the activities of HO-1 and HO-2 were decreased in both model and acupuncture 5dsubgroups(P<0.05).In model 10 dsubgroup,the intestinal propulsive rate and the expression level of c-kit in ICCs were increased,the content of CO and the activity of HO-1 were decreased in comparison with the model 5dsubgroup(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture can improve postoperative gastrointestinal motility by declining CO content and HO-1 and HO-2 activity in colon tissue,and promoting ICCs restoration.

      摘要:Objective To observe the anti-apoptosis effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on gastrocnemius muscle cells in rats with denervated sciatic nerve,so as to explore its possible mechanisms underlying delaying atrophy of skeletal muscle.Methods Sixty-three male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham operation group,model group,and EA group,and then further divided into 3subgroups in each group(n=7/subgroup).Gastrocnemius muscle atrophy model was established by transecting the sciatic nerve of rat.EA(5Hz,1.5mA)was applied to "Zusanli"(ST 36)and "Chengshan"(BL 57)acupoints at the affected side for 10 min,once a day for 1,2,3 weeks,respectively.The gastrocnemius muscles were sampled on the 7(th),14 (th),14 (th),21(th),21(th) d after modeling,separately.The apoptotic cells were detected by TUNEL staining.Bcl-2,Bax,Cyt-C and Caspase-3 protein expressions were determined by Western blot.RT-PCR was used to check Caspase-3 gene expression.Results Compared with the sham operation group,the cell apoptotic index in gastrocnemius was markedly higher,gastrocnemius Bcl-2 protein expression was markedly down-regulated,and gastrocnemius Bax,Cyt-C and Caspase-3 protein expressions were considerably up-regulated in the model group at all time-points(P<0.05).Compared with the model group,the cell apoptotic indexes in gastrocnemius were significantly lower in the three EA subgroups(P<0.05).Bcl-2 protein expressions were markedly up-regulated while Bax,Cyt-C and Caspase-3 protein expressions were significantly down-regulated in the EA group 14,21 days after modeling compared with the corresponding model subgroups(P<0.05).The changes of Caspase-3 mRNA expression levels of gastrocnemius in all groups were similar to those of Caspase-3 protein expressions.Conclusion Electroacupuncture intervention can effectively increase Bcl-2 expression and decrease Bax,Cyt-C and Caspase-3 expression in gastrocnemius muscle,and consequently reduce the apoptosis of muscle cell,which may contribute to its effect in delaying the skeletal muscle atrophy of denervated sciatic nerve.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation at"Fenglong"(ST 40)on expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein-1c(SREBP-1c)in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)rats,so as to reveal its mechanism underlying improving NAFLD.Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into normal diet group,high-fat diet group,ST 40 manual acupuncture(MA)group,ST 40 EA group and "Zusanli"(ST 36)EA group(n=12in each group).Apart from the normal diet group,rats in other groups were fed with high-fat diet to replicate NAFLD model.ST 40 MA group was treated with filiform needling for 20 min,EA(4Hz/20 Hz,5mA)was applied to bilateral acupoints of ST 40 and ST 36 respectively for 20 min in the ST 40 EA group and ST 36 EA group,once a day for 4 weeks.The pathological changes of hepatic tissue were observed by HE staining.The contents of serum free fatty acid(FFA),alanine aminotransferase(ALT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were detected by colorimetry.The expression of SREBP-1c mRNA and protein in the hepatic tissue were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)and Western blot,respectively.Results HE staining showed that hepatocytes disorganized with diffuse bullous fat vacuolar changes in rats of the high-fat diet group,and small vesicle steatosis appeared in the ST 40 MA group.The liver cells arranged orderly and the steatosis decreased in the ST 40 EA group and ST 36 EA group.The contents of FFA,ALT,AST in serum and the expression levels of SREBP-1cmRNA and protein in the hepatic tissue were significantly higher in the high-fat diet group than in the normal diet group(P<0.01),while significantly lower in the MA and EA groups than in the high-fat diet group(P<0.01).Furthermore,the effects of treatment in the ST 40 EA group were better than those in the ST 40 MA group(P<0.01,P<0.05).The FFA contents in serum and the expression levels of SREBP-1c mRNA and protein were decreased in the ST 40 EA group in comparison with the ST 36 EA group(P<0.05).Conclusion EA at ST 40 and ST 36 have a positive regulating effect on NAFLD rats,which may be related to down-regulating the expression of SREBP-1c mRNA and protein in hepatic tissue,improving the endoplasmic reticulum stress and regulating lipid metabolic disorder,so as to relieve the inflammatory injury in hepatic tissue,and ST 40 works better.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)intervention of"Zusanli"(ST 36),etc.on gastrointestinal motility and levels of insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1)and IGF-1receptor(IGF-1R)proteins in the gastric antrum in diabetic gastroparesis(DGP)rats,so as to study its mechanism underlying improvement of DGP.Methods Fifty SD rats,half male and half female,were randomly allocated to control,model,EA acupoint,EA non-acupoint and medication(metoclopramide)groups(n=10rats/group).The DGP model was induced by 2% streptozotocin(STZ,i.p.i.,55mg/kg)and high fatsugar forage for 8weeks.EA(10Hz/50 Hz,2mA)was applied to"Zusanli"(ST 36),"Liangmen"(ST 21),"Sanyinjiao"(SP 6)and non-acupoints(about 5mm lateral to ST 36,ST 21 and SP 6,respectively)for 20 min,one daily for 15 days,and 1.7% metocloppramide(1mL/100g)was given(gavage)to rats of the medication group,once daily for 15 days.After the treatment,the rats' general conditions were scored,the blood glucose level was determined using aglucometer,and the gastrointestinal mobility was evaluated by measuring the gastric emptying rate(GER)and the intestinal propulsion rates(IPR)marked by oral-infused phenol red solution(50mg/dL).The immunoactivity levels of IGF-1and IGF-1Rof gastric antrum tissue were detected by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results After modeling,the symptom integrative score,the blood glucose,IGF-1and IGF-1Rlevels were significantly increased(P<0.01),and the GER and IPR were notably decreased relevant to the control group(P<0.01).After EA stimulation of ST 36,ST 21 and SP 6,the symptom score,blood glucose,and IGF-1 and IGF-1R levels of the gastric antrum were significantly reduced,while the GER and IPR were considerably increased(P <0.05,P<0.01).Except the GER and IPR were considerably increased in the medication group(P<0.05,P<0.01),no significant changes were found in the symptom integrative score,the blood glucose,IGF-1 and IGF-1Rlevels in both EA non-acupoint and medication groups relevant to the model group(P>0.05),the GER and IPR in the EA non-acupoint group(P>0.05).Compared with the EA acupoint group,the symptom integrative score,IGF-1 and IGF-1R levels were significantly increased in both EA non-acupoint and medication groups(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion EA stimulation can improve gastrointestinal motility and lower blood glucose in DGP rats,which may be closely associated with its effectiveness in reducing IGF-1 and IGF-1R immunoactivity levels in gastric antrum.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of chiropractics on intervertebral disk extracell matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-1,MMP-3,MMP-13,cellular collagen typeⅡ(COL-Ⅱ),tissue inhibitor 1 of metalloproteinase(TIMP-1)and extracellular matrix(ECM)in the rats with cervical spondylosis,so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of cervical spondylosis.Methods A total of 40 SD rats were randomized into a sham group,a model group,a chiropractics group and a mobic group,8rats in each one.The model was established by static-dynamic imbalance method.The rats in the chiropractics group were treated with chiropractic therapy for two courses,14 times a day and 14 days as a course.The rats in the mobic group were treated with intragastric administration of mobic.The expression of MMP-1,MMP-3,MMP-13,COL-Ⅱ and TIMP-1 in the intervertebral disk tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry,and the protein expression of ECM was detected by Western blot.Results Compared with those in the sham group,the expressions of MMP-1,MMP-3,MMP-13 in the model group increased(all P<0.05),and COL-Ⅱ,TIMP-1 decreased(both P<0.05).Compared with those in the model group,the expressions of MMP-1,MMP-3,MMP-13 in the chiropractics group and the mobic group decreased(all P <0.05),and COL-Ⅱ,TIMP-1 increased(all P<0.05).Compared with that in the sham group,the expression of ECM protein in the model group decreased(P<0.05).Compared with that in the model group,the expression of ECM protein in the chiropractics group and the mobic group increased(both P<0.05).Conclusion Chiropractics may improve the degeneration in rats with cervical spondylosis by regulating intervertebral disc ECM system and relevant metabolic enzymes.

      摘要:Objective To develop an animal model suitable for the study of acupoint sensitization in myocardial ischemia(MI)animals by observing changes of the mechanical withdrawal threshold(pain threshold,PT).Methods Twenty New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into control and model groups(n=10in each group).The controllable MI model was set up by installing a balloon occluder at the left anterior descending branch of the left coronary artery.Air inflation of the balloon was given for 5 min/time,twice a day(4-hours' interval)for continuous 5days(the first stage of MI),with one day's rest,then,another 5 days' air inflation was conducted again(2nd stage of MI).Electrocardiogram(ECG)of the standard limb leadⅡ was recorded for assessing MI,and myocardial 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride(TTC)staining was used to verify the degree of ischemic myocardium.The PT of the skin areas of"Neiguan"(PC 6),"Shenmen"(HT 7),"Taixi"(KI 3),hind paw(HP)was detected under conscious conditions,before MI,on day 8(after recovery from MI),day 14(the first stage of MI),and day 20(the second stage of MI),respectively.Results The controllable MI model was successful due to a marked elevation of ECG ST Ⅱ after inflation of the implanted balloon and a distinct recovery after balloon deflation(P<0.05).The myocardial TTC staining showed that the area of the myocardial necrosis was about 10%.The PT values were significantly decreased in PC 6 area at the first stage of MI and in both PC 6 and HT 7 regions at the 2nd stage of MI(P<0.01),suggesting a close relationship between the acupoints of the Pericardium and Heart meridians and the heart in terms of the basic theory of Chinese medicine.Conclusion MI may induce a reduction of PT of some related acupoints in MI rabbits,and the controllable MI model of the present study is helpful to the study of acupoint sensitization phenomenon after occurrence of visceral diseases.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effectiveness of transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation(TAES)or electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation of different acupoints in combination with anesthetics in the management of thyroidectomy patients,so as to choose a better stimulating method and most effective acupoints for thyroidectomy.Methods A total of 216 thyroidectomy patients(ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ grades)with thyroid gland adenoma,thyroid cyst or thyroid nodules from 3hospitals(3research centers)were randomized into 6groups,i.e.,local anesthesia(LA,n=34),Futu(LI 18)-EA(n=36),Hegu(LI 4)-Neiguan(PC 6)-TAES(n=34),LI 4-PC 6-EA(n=36),Yanglingquan(GB 34)-EA(n=36)and non-acupoint(NA,about 1.5cm latero-posterior to KI 9)-EA(n=34)groups according to the hospitalizition sequence.For patients of the LI 18-EA,LI 4-PC 6-TAES/EA,GB 34 and non-acupoint-EA groups,EA or TAES(2Hz/100Hz)was applied to the abovementioned bilateral acupoints or non-acupoint till the termination of the surgical operation.The surgery was conducted under anesthesia by local injection of0.5%lidocaine and midazolam,and intravenous injection of fentanyl(for severe pain cases)20min after beginning of TAES or EA.The patients' scores of visual analogue scale(VAS),mean arterial pressure(MAP)and heart rate(HR)at the time-points of pre-anesthesia(T 0),skin-incision(T 1),skin flap-freeing(T 2),anterior cervical muscle traction(T 3),thyroid upper/lowerpole-sectioning(T 4/T 5),and thyroidectomy(T 6),and the dosages of the administered fentanyl and lidocaine were recorded.Results Compared with the corresponding time-points of the non-acupoint group,the VAS scores at T 1and T 4time-points in the LI 18-EA group and LI 4-PC 6-EA group,at T 1,T 5and T 6time-points in the LI 4-PC 6-TAES group were significantly lower(P<0.05).Compared with the corresponding time-points of the LA group,the VAS scores at T 2,T 3,T 5and T 6time-points in the LI 18-EA group and LI 4-PC 6-EA group,at T 3,T 5and T 6in the LI 4-PC 6-TAES group,and the MAP levels at T 2,T 3,T 4and T 6time-points in the LI 18-EA group,at T 3,T 4in the LI 4-PC 6-EA group,at T 3,T 4,T 6in the LI 4-PC 6TAES group,as well as the HR levels at T 4,T 5and T 6in the LI 18-EA group,and at T 5,T 6in the LI 4-PC 6-TAES group were significantly lower(P<0.05).The dosages of fentanyl in the LI 18-EA and LI 4-PC 6-TAES groups,and those of lidocaine in the LI 18-EA,LI 4-PC 6-EA and TAES groups were significantly lower relevant to the LA group and non-acupoint group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the LA and GB 34-EA groups,and between the LA and non-acupoint groups,as well as between the LI 4-PC 6-EA and LI 4-PC 6-TAES groups in the VAS scores,the MAP and HR levels,the dosages of lidocaine and fentanyl consumption(P>0.05).Conclusion EA stimulation of both LI 18 and LI 4-PC 6and TAES of LI 4-PC 6combined with anesthetics have a better effect in inducing analgesia and controlling MAP and HR,and need lower dosages of anesthetics for patients undergoing thyroidectomy,for which LI 18 and LI 4-PC 6are evidently superior to GB 34 and non-acupoint.Hence,combined EA or TAES and anesthetics is highly recommended for thyroidectomy

      摘要:Objective To compare the clinical effects of heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with kegel exercise therapy and simple kegel exercise therapy on female stress urinary incontinence.Methods Forty-five female patients with stress urinary incontinence were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=23)and a control group(n=22).Kegel exercise therapy was applied in the two groups.Heat-sensitive moxibustion was used at Zhongji(CV 3),Qihai(CV 6),Ciliao(BL 32)and Shenshu(BL 23)in the treatment group,once a day for the first 10 times,and once every other day until 5sessions were given,10 times as one session.1-hour pad test,International Incontinence Advisory Board questionnaire(ICIQ-SF)and the number of urine leakage were observed before and after treatment.And the clinical effect was evaluated.Results The curative rate of 43.48%(10/23)and the total effective rate of 95.65%(22/23)in the treatment group were respectively better than those of 18.18%(4/22)and 63.64%(14/22)in the control group(both P<0.05).After treatment,1-hour pad test and ICIQ-SF score were lower than those before treatment in the two groups,and the number of urine leakage decreased(all P<0.01).The above three indexes of the treatment group were better than those of the control group(all P<0.01).Conclusion Heat-sensitive moxibustion combined with kegel exercise therapy achieves better effect than simple kegel exercise therapy on female stress urinary incontinence.

      摘要:Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture at thirteen evil acupoints in patients with hepatic encephalopathy,and to explore its possible mechanism.Methods Patients with hepatic encephalopathy were randomly divided into acupuncture group(n=38)and western medicine group(n=36).Patients in the western medicine group were treated by intravenous injection of aspartate ornithine and branched chain amino acids,and those in the acupuncture group were treated with acupuncture at thirteen evil acupoints on the basis of the western medicine.All the patients were treated for 1 week.The liver function and blood ammonia were measured by automatic biochemical analyzer.The changes of plasma β-endorphin were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Following the treatment,of the 36 and 38h epatic encephalopathy patients in the western medicine and acupuncture groups,12 and 18 experienced a marked improvement in their symptoms,13 and 16 were effective,and 11 and 4 invalid,with the effective rates being 69.4% and 89.5%,respectively.Compared with pre-treatment,the levels of serum aspartate aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,total bilirubin,and plasma β-endorphin and blood ammonia were significantly lower in both western medicine and acupuncture groups(P<0.01),and the therapeutic effects of the acupuncture group were obviously superior to those of the western medicine group in the above mentioned indexes(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Treatment of acupuncture at thirteen evil acupoints combined with western medicine can enhance the curative effect of hepatic encephalopathy,improve patients' liver function and decrease the levels of plasma ammonia andβ-endorphin.

      摘要:Objective To determine the clinical effect of acupuncture treatment on cerebral palsy in children with language retardation using the Midnight-noon Ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation.Methods One hundred and thirty-six children with cerebral palsy and language retardation were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.The control group received routine treatment for language rehabilitation,while the treatment group received acupuncture treatment using the Midnight-noon Ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation for 3 months based on language rehabilitation.The children were assessed by sign-significate relations for language comprehension and language expression before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the development quotient scores for language comprehension and language expression were(60.37±4.64)and(51.13±3.81)in the control group,and(73.54±4.73)and(64.08±3.93)in the treatment group,and the differences were statistically significant compared with those before treatment in the same one group,respectively(P<0.05,P<0.01).The effects of the treatment group were statistically better than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture treatment using the Midnight-noon Ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation has a better therapeutic effect in improving language comprehension and language expression,and promoting language development in children with cerebral palsy.

      摘要:Objective To explore the clinical effects of abdominal acupuncture combined with warm needling on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods Eighty-six patients with KOA were divided into a treatment group and a control group according to the digital random table,43 cases in each one.In the treatment group,patients were treated with abdominal acupuncture at Zhongwan(CV 12),Guanyuan(CV 4)and Huaroumen(ST 24),Wailing(ST 26)and Xiafengshidian(Extra)on the affected side,as well as warm needling at Neixiyan(EX-LE 4),Dubi(ST 35),Heding(EX-LE 2),Liangqiu(ST 34)and Xuehai(SP 10)of the affected side.In the control group,warm needling was given.All the patients were treated 5times a week for 4weeks.Each dimension score of Western Ontario and McMaster University(WOMAC)osteoarthritis index scale and health survey 36-item short form(SF-36)of the two groups was compared before and after treatment.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was applied to test serum vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and angiopoietin-1(Ang-1).Results Compared with those before treatment,the scores of pain,stiffness,joint function of WOMAC scale and serum VEGF,Ang-1of the two groups were lower after treatment(all P<0.01),and each dimension score of SF-36 scale increased significantly(all P<0.01).Each dimension score of WOMAC scale and serum VEGF,Ang-1in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group after treatment(all P<0.01),and each score of SF-36 was higher(all P<0.01).The total effective rate of 93.0%(40/43)in the treatment group was higher than 74.4%(32/43)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture combined with warm needling can effectively alleviate pain and stiffness,improve the function of knee joint and quality of life,with definite effect for KOA.The mechanism may be related to the decreasing of serum VEGF and Ang-1.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of"Xingnao Kaiqiao"needling on the recovery of general anesthesia in mid-aged and elderly patients undergoing painless gastrointestinal endoscopy.Methods A total of 140 patients were randomly divided into control and treatment groups,with 70 cases in each group.After termination of the endoscopy,patients of the treatment group received acupuncture stimulation of Neiguan(PC 6),Shuigou(GV 26)and Sanyinjiao(SP 6)with sterilized disposable filiform needles which were manipulated with twirling-reducing method for 3 min in PC 6,with lifting-thrusting reinforcing method in SP 6,and with bird-peck needling in GV 26.The patients of the control group were not given any treatment.Before,the immediate time of termination of the endoscope examination,resuscitation and 10 min after the endoscope examination,the mini-mental state examination(MMSE)scores were obtained to assess the patients' recognition function.The Bi-spectral Index(BIS)values were recorded to assess the patients' depth of sedation and anesthesia,and the Observer's Assessment of Alertness/Sedation Scale(OAA/S)was used to evaluate the resuscitation/sedation level.Results Compared with the control group,the MMSE score of the treatment group was significantly higher at the 10 th min after endoscope examination(P<0.05),suggesting an improvement of the cognitive function after acupuncture intervention.The duration from general anesthetic state(BIS values=40-60 points)to mild sedation(BIS values=80-90 points)was significantly shorter in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found between the two groups in the OAA/S score at the 10 th min after endoscope(P>0.05).Conclusion "Xingnao Kaiqiao"needling stimulation has a significant effect on the recovery of middleaged and elderly patients undergoing painless gastroscopy during general anesthesia.

      摘要:With the development of moxibustion use,increasing attention has focused on the safety of moxa smoke.Evaluation of the safety of moxa smoke has now become an urgent problem in moxibustion clinical practice.An epidemiological study could provide direct evidence of the safety of moxa smoke,but has not yet been comprehensively and systematically studied.In the present paper,the authors discuss the research methods used in epidemiological studies of the clinical safety of moxa smoke and some key problems regarding definition of the exposed population,the determination of exposure outcome,the choice of psychological measuring tool and the assessment of exposure level.

      摘要:Acupuncture has a good curative effect in the treatment of gastrointestinal system diseases,such as functional dyspepsia,ulcerative colitis,and constipation.The central nuclei which are involved in the mechanism of acupuncture in regulating the gastrointestinal system have become a research hotspot in recent years.In the present paper,the authors summarized the effect of acupuncture and the central nervous system on gastrointestinal function regulation.It was found that the regulation of gastrointestinal function by acupuncture involved many brain regions such as the amygdala,paraventricular nucleus,locus coeruleus,raphe nucleus,and dorsal nucleus of the vagus nerve.Of these,the limbic brain region had the closest relation.However,the included studies were animal experiments,which involved less research on nuclear group interactions.The role of central nuclei in the regulation of gastrointestinal function by acupuncture is unclear.Thus,the introduction of more advanced brain imaging techniques to observe brain dysfunction of central nuclei and the relativity of acupuncture in regulating gastrointestinal function will be the focus in the future study,which will contribute to determining the effective mechanism of acupuncture and moxibustion.

      摘要:Diabetic gastroparesis(DGP)is an important complication of diabetes,and seriously impacts the patient's quality of life.In the present paper,the authors summarize national and international research on the mechanism of acupuncture therapy in improving DGP and the pathogenesis of DGP over the past 10 years.The authors illustrate the mechanism of acupuncture underlying the improvement in DGP as follows:1)the effect on autonomic nerves and neurons of the central nervous system;2)promoting restoration of the enteric nervous system;3)the effect on Cajal interstitial cells;4)improving gastrointestinal hormone disorder;5)improving hyperglycemic state;6)the effect on gastric smooth muscle.The authors also put forward some suggestions for future research on the mechanisms of acupuncture in DGP.

      摘要:In the present paper,using data mining technology,the authors downloaded information from databases on auricular needle therapy,and obtained data samples from journals and academic dissertations involving the application of auricular needle therapy to treat diseases,and then screened,audited,and extracted the data and performed a statistical analysis.The authors extracted data on the application of auricular needle therapy in the stimulation methods of medicine(needling instrument),selection of the side of ear to treat disease and the number of times the ear was pressed per day and the compression time.In the stimulation methods,the needling instrument varied,the seeds of cowherb Semen Vaccariae were applied in 60.89% of the total stimulation methods.The number of times the ear was pressed per day and the compression time in the clinic were optional.The main points in auricular needle therapy were the contralateral side;there was no significant difference in the effect of a single side or both sides of the ear to treat disease.
