摘要:Objective To explore the mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA)in accelerating the aggregation of microglia and promoting the remyelination at the location of demyelination.Methods C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into4 groups:normal,control,model(LPC)and LPC+EA.The demyelination model was established by microinjection of Lysolecithin(LPC,1μL)into the left corpus callosum.EA(2 Hz/15 Hz,2-4 mA)was applied to "Baihui" (GV20)and "Zhiyang" (GV9)for 30 min,once daily for 3 days,then,once every other day for 18 days.Immuno-fluorescence staining was used to observe the expression of myelin basic protein(MBP)and Axl tyrosine kinase receptor(Axl),Iba1 and numbers of Olig2-positive oligodendrocytes in the corpus callosum.Western blot was employed to detect the expression of MBP in the corpus callosum,and Oil Red O staining was used to observe changes of number of myelin pieces.Results Following modeling,the expression levels of MBP on day 5 and 10 after modeling were significantly decreased(P<0.05,P<0.01),Iba1 expression and Olig2-positive oligodendrocyte numbers on day 10 apparently increased(P<0.001,P<0.01).On day 21 after modeling,the levels of the above mentioned indexes returned to normal.After EA intervention,the levels of MBP expression on day 5 and 10,Axl,Iba1 protein expression and Olig2-positive oligodendrocyte numbers on day 5 were markedly increased(P<0.001,P<0.01,P<0.05),while Iba1 expression on day 10 was considerably decreased in comparison with the model group(P<0.01).Oil Red O staining showed that on day 5 after modeling,the number of red lipid droplets were obviously increased in the corpus callosum tissue on the injection side,and apparently reduced in the EA group,suggesting a clearance of the accumulated myelin fragments by EA.Conclusion EA intervention may reduce myelin debris and promote the aggregation of microglial cells and oligodendrocytes to the injured site,accelerate the myelin regeneration and up-regulate the expression of MBP and Axl of corpus callosum in demyelination mice.
摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of manual acupuncture(MA)and electroacupuncture(EA)on histopathological changes,and levels of oxidative-stress related cytokines and key proteins of the endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)pathway in ulcerative colitis(UC)rats,so as to reveal their mechanisms underlying improvement of UC.Methods Twenty-eight male SD rats were randomly divided into control,model,EA and MA groups(n=7 rats per group).The UC model was established by enema of mixture solution of 5% 2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS,100 mg/kg).Rats of the control group received intra-rectal perfusion of normal saline.After modeling,the left "Quchi" (LI11)and "Zusanli"(ST36)were stimulated with EA(2—4 mA,8 Hz/25 Hz)or MA for 20 min,once every other day for consecutive 2 weeks.The rats in the control and model group were just anesthetized and fixed.At the end of experiments,the colon tissue was collected for observing histopathological changes with H.E.staining.The contents of oxidative stress-related factors as superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA),reduced glutathione(GSH)and total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC)were detected by ELISA,and the expression levels of key proteins of ERS as phosphorylated inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinaseα(p-IκBα),phosphorylated p65(p-p65),glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78),phosphorylated protein kinase R-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase(p-PERK)and phosphorylated eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2α(p-eIF2α)by using Western blot.Results After modeling,the colon tissues showed severe swelling,disordered arrangement of intestinal mucosal cells,hemorrhage with infiltration of inflammatory cell and partial loss of colon villus,which was relatively milder in the EA and MA groups.The colonic lesion score was remarkably increased in the model group in contrast to the control group(P<0.01),and obviously reduced in both EA and MA groups relevant to the model group(P<0.01).The levels of SOD,CAT,GSH and T-AOC were all significantly decreased(P<0.01),and the content of MDA,and expression levels of p-IκBα,p-p65 and GRP78,p-PERK and p-eIF2α proteins were all significantly increased in the model group relevant to the control group(P<0.01).After the treatment,modeling-induced down-regulation of SOD,CAT and GSH in both EA and MA groups,and T-AOC in the EA group,and up-regulation of levels of MDA,p-IκBα,p-p65,GRP78,p-PERK and p-eIF2α in both groups were reversed(P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusion Both EA and MA treatment can obviously alleviate colonic inflammation in UC rats via inhibiting oxidative stress and ERS.
摘要:Objective To observe the effects of electroacupuncture(EA)at "Zusanli" (ST36) on the ultrastructure and mitochondrial dynamics of skeletal muscle tissue in spleen qi deficiency rats,so as to explore the partial action mechanism of EA at ST36 for spleen deficiency syndrome.Methods Twenty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:normal group,model group,ST36 group and non-acupoint group(n=6 in each group).The model of spleen qi deficiency syndrome was established by improper diet and exhaustive swimming.EA(2 Hz/15 Hz,0.5 mA)was applied to bilateral ST36 in the ST36 group and non-acupoint in the non-acupoint group for 20 min,once daily for 7 days.The colorimetric method was used to detect the ATP content in skeletal muscle tissue.The ultrastructure changes of skeletal muscle tissue were observed by transmission electron microscopy.The expression levels of optic atrophy 1(Opa1)and dynamin-related protein 1(Drp1)mRNA and proteins in the skeletal muscle tissue were determined by fluorescence quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot,respectively.Results The ATP content in skeletal muscle tissue of model group was significantly lower than that in the normal group(P<0.05),while significantly higher in the ST36 group than that in the model group and non-acupoint group(P<0.05).Transmission electron microscopy showed that a large number of muscle fibers that were ruptured,damaged,and disorganized;moreover,many vacuoles with different sizes,and abnormally shaped or swollen mitochondria were observed in the model group.ST36 treatment improved the disordered fiber arrangement,and reduced the population of damaged mitochondria;thus,fused and elongated mitochondria were readily observed.Compared with the model group,there were no obvious improvements in the non-acupoint group.Compared with the normal group,the expression levels of Opa1 and Drp1 mRNAs and proteins in the skeletal muscle tissue were significantly lower in the model group(P<0.05).After the treatment,the expression levels of Opa1 and Drp1 mRNAs and proteins were up-regulated in the ST36 group(P<0.05),and the expression of Drp1 protein was up-regulated in the non-acupoint group(P<0.05).Conclusion EA at ST36 can correct the imbalance of mitochondrial fission and fusion in skeletal muscle of rats with spleen qi deficiency,thereby improving the damage of mitochondrial structure and function,and leading to an increase of energy metabolism.
摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)stimulation on the expression of c-Jun terminal kinase(JNK)signaling pathway-related proteins in the hippocampus of vascular dementia(VD)rats,so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of VD.Methods Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into sham operation,model and EA groups(n=10 rats per group).The VD model was prepared by repeated occlusion of the bilateral common carotid arteries for10 min and reperfusion for 10 min(3 times in total).The rats in the EA group received EA(2 Hz,2 mA)at "Dazhui"(GV14),"Baihui"(GV20),and bilateral"Housanli"(ST36),"Geshu"(BL17)for 10 min,once daily for 14 days.The learning-memory ability was detected by Morris water maze tests,the distribution of hippocampal neurons detected by Nissl staining,and the apoptosis of hippocampal neurons detected by using TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL)method.The expressions of JNK,phosphorylated JNK(p-JNK),cysteine-containing aspartate-specific proteases-8(Caspase-8)and Caspase-3 proteins were detected by Western blot.Results After modeling and compared with the sham operation group,the escape latency was significantly prolonged(P<0.01)and the number of safe-platform quadrant crossing obviously decreased(P<0.01),suggesting a reduction of learning-memory ability.The number of hippocampal neurons was considerably reduced(P<0.01),and that of hippocampal apoptotic neurons remarkably increased in the model group(P<0.01).Whereas,the expression levels of hippocampal apoptosis-related proteins as JNK,p-JNK,Caspase-8 and Caspase-3,as well as the apoptotic index were significantly up-regulated(P<0.01).Following EA intervention,the learning-memory ability was apparently improved(P<0.01),and the number of hippocampal neurons was considerably increased(P<0.01),the hippocampal apoptotic cell number,apoptosis index and the expression levels of JNK,p-JNK,Caspase-8 and Caspase-3 were significantly down-regulated(P<0.01).Conclusion EA intervention can improve the learning-memory ability of VD rats,which may be associated with its effects in reducing hippocampal apoptosis by suppressing JNK signaling pathway.
摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)on silent information regulator 1(SIRT1),forkhead transcription factor O1(FoxO1),and proopiomelanocortin(POMC)in the hypothalamus of rats with high-fat diet-induced obesity(DIO),as well as the mechanism of EA in regulating central appetite peptides to help lose weight.Methods Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group,model group,EA group,EA+inhibitor group,inhibitor group,and shamoperation group,with 10 rats in each group.High-fat diet was used to establish a rat model of DIO.The rats in the EA group and EA+inhibitor group were given EA at"Fenglong"(ST40),"Zhongwan"(CV12),"Guanyuan"(CV4),and"Zusanli"(ST36)with continuous wave at a frequency of 2 Hz and an intensity of 1 mA,for 10 minutes each time.The rats in the EA+inhibitor group and inhibitor group were given tube placement in the third ventricle and injection of the specific SIRT1 antagonist EX-527.The rats in the sham-operation group were given tube placement in the third ventricle and injection of artificial cerebrospinal fluid.The above treatment was given 3 times a week for 8 weeks in total.Body weight,food intake,and Lee's index were observed before and after treatment.An automatic biochemical analyzer was used to measure the serum levels of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),and free fatty acid(FFA),and Western blot was used to measure the protein expression of SIRT1,FoxO1,acetylated FoxO1(AC-FoxO1),and POMC in the hypothalamus.Results Before treatment,the model group,the EA group,the EA+inhibitor group,the inhibitor group,and the sham-operation group had significantly higher body weight and food intake than the normal group(P<0.01),and the model group and the sham-operation group had a significantly higher Lee's index than the normal group(P<0.05).Compared with the model group after treatment,the EA group and the EA+inhibitor group had significant reductions in body weight,food intake,TC,and the protein expression of AC-FoxO1(P<0.01,P<0.05)and significant increases in the protein expression of SIRT1,FoxO1 and POMC(P<0.01,P<0.05);the EA group had significant reductions in Lee's index and the levels of TG,FFA(P<0.05,P<0.01);the inhibitor group had significant increases in food intake,the serum levels of TC,TG,FFA(P<0.01)and significant reductions in the protein expression of SIRT1,FoxO1 and POMC(P<0.01,P<0.05).Compared with the EA group,the EA+inhibitor group and the inhibitor group had significant increases in body weight,food intake,Lee's index,the levels of TG,FFA and the protein expression of AC-FoxO1(P<0.01,P<0.05)and significant reductions in the protein expression of SIRT1,FoxO1 and POMC(P<0.01);the inhibitor group had significant increases in the serum levels of TC(P<0.01).Compared with the EA+inhibitor group,the inhibitor group had significant increases in body weight,food intake,the serum levels of TC,TG,FFA,and the protein expression of AC-FoxO1(P<0.01),as well as significant reductions in the protein expression of SIRT1,FoxO1 and POMC(P<0.01).Conclusion In rats with DIO,EA can effectively upregulate the expression of SIRT1 in the hypothalamus,exert a deacetylation effect on FoxO1,and promote the expression of the downstream appetite-inhibiting peptide POMC,which may be one of the mechanisms of EA to help lose weight by regulating central appetite peptides in the obesity model.

摘要:Objective To explore the effect of moxibustion of acupoints of Governor Vessel on learning-memory ability and expression of the receptor for advanced glycation end products(RAGE),low density lipoprotein(LDL)receptor related protein-1(LRP-1),β-amyloid precursor protein(APP)and neuronal ultrastructure of the frontal cortex and hippocampus in vascular dementia(VD)rats,so as to investigate its underlying mechanisms in relieving VD.Methods A total of 24 male SD rats were randomized into normal,model,and moxibustion groups(n=8 rats in each group).The VD model was established by occlusion of the bilateral common carotid arteries for 20 min and reperfusion for 10 min which was repeated for 3 times.Moxibustion was applied to"Baihui"(GV20),"Dazhui"(GV14)and"Fengfu"(GV16)for 30 min,once daily for 4 weeks.The learning-memory ability was evaluated by using Morris water maze tests.At the end of experiments,the frontal lobe of cerebral cortex and hippocampus tissues were collected for detecting the expression of RAGE and LRP-1 proteins with Western blot,and RAGE,LRP-1 and APP mRNAs with quantitative real-time PCR,respectively.The ultrastructure of neurons in the frontal cortex and hippocampal CA1 region was observed with transmission electron microscopy.Results Following modeling,Morris water maze tests showed that the average escape latency of the model group and moxibustion group was significantly prolonged on the 4 th day of modeling(P<0.01).The expression levels of RAGE protein and mRNA and APP mRNA were significantly increased(P<0.01),while those of LRP-1 protein and mRNA in the cortex and hippocampus remarkably decreased in the model group relevant to the normal group(P<0.01).Following moxibustion,modeling-induced increase of expression of RAGE protein and mRNA and APP mRNA,and down-regulation of expression of LRP-1 protein and mRNA were reversed in the moxibustion group relevant to the model group(P<0.01).Results of electron microscopy showed dilation of the mitochondria with disappearance of the cristae,partial vacuolar degeneration or dissolved external membrane,and cytoplasmic edema with basic disappearance of the rough endoplasmic reticulum and glycogen particles in neurons of the frontal cortex and hippocampal CA1 region after modeling,which was relatively milder in the moxibustion group.Conclusion Moxibustion of acupoints of the Governor Vessel may reduce the content of APP in the frontal cortex and hippocampus by regulating the expression of RAGE and LRP-1 proteins and mRNA in VD rats.

摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)at"Jiaji"(EX-B2)at different time points on the expression of OX-42(a monoclonal antibody with specific expression of complement receptor-3 in spinal microglial cells)and purinergic receptor P2X4(P2X4)in rats with chronic constriction injury(CCI)of the sciatic nerve,as well as the possible aftereffect mechanism of EA analgesia in neuropathic pain.Methods Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into blank group,model group,immediately after EA group,0.5-hour after EA group,1-hour after EA group,2-hour after EA group,4-hour after EA group,12-hour after EA group,and 24-hour after EA group,with 6 rats in each group.The rats in the model group and the EA groups were used to establish a model of CCI-induced neuropathic pain,and those in the immediately after EA group and the 0.5,1,2,4,12 and 24 hours after EA groups were treated with EA at bilateral L3 and L5 "Jiaji"points for 20 min after 7 dof modeling.Samples were collected immediately and at 0.5,1,2,4,12,and 24 hours after EA,and for the rats in the blank group and the model group,samples were collected after fixation the rats for 20 min.Heat pain threshold was observed before and after intervention,and immunohistochemistry was used to measure the protein expression of OX-42 and P2X4 in the spinal cord lumbar enlargement.Results After 7 days of modeling(before intervention),compared with the blank group,the heat pain threshold had a significant reduction in the model group and the EA groups(P<0.01).Compared with the model group after intervention,the immediately after EA group and the 0.5,1 and 2 hours after EA groups had a significant increase in heat pain threshold(P<0.05).Compared with the model group,immediately after EA,the 0.5,1 and 2 hours after EA groups had a significant reduction in the protein expression of OX-42(P<0.01),and immediately after EA,the 0.5 and 1 hour after EA groups had a significant reduction in the protein expression of P2X4(P<0.01).Conclusion EA at "Jiaji" points can significantly increase heat pain threshold and down-regulate the protein expression of OX-42 and P2X4 in the spinal cord of CCI rats.The analgesic effect can last for 2 h.

摘要:Objective To observe the clinical effect of herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion combined with Rhinocort spray in the treatment of symptoms,sleep quality and daily life quality of patients with moderate-severe allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods A total of 67 patients with persistent moderate-severe AR were recruited in the present study and randomized into a treatment group(n=35)and a control group(n=32).The patients in the treatment group were treated by herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion(applied to Dazhui[GV14],and bilateral Feishu [BL13],Shenshu [BL23]and Zhiyang [GV9],3 moxacones/time,once every other day)plus Rhinocort spray(once in the morning and evening separately,256!g/d),and patients in the control group treated by Rhinocort spray alone(the same to that mentioned above).All the treatments were given for4 weeks.The therapeutic effect was evaluated with reference to the "Principles and Recommended Schemes for Diagnosis and Treatment of AR"formulated by Otolaryngology Branch of Chinese Medical Association before and after the treatment.The severity of symptoms of AR was assessed by using visual analogue scale(VAS),the life quality of nasal conjunctivitis assessed using"Rhino-conjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire(RQLQ)",and the sleep quality assessed using"Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)"before and after the treatment,followed by 3 months' follow-up survey.Results After the treatment,the VAS and RQLQ scores in both groups and PSQI of the treatment group were significantly decreased in comparison with their own base-line levels of pre-treatment in each group(P<0.05).The RQLQ and PSQI in the treatment group were substantially lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).No marked difference was found between the two groups in VAS(P>0.05).Follow-up survey showed that the VAS and RQLQ scores in both groups and PSQI of the treatment group were still significantly lower than those of pre-treatment in each group(P<0.05),and the VAS,RQLQ and PSQI scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After 4 weeks' treatment,of the 32 and 35 AR patients in the control and treatment groups,7 and 16 experienced marked improvement,16 and 14 were effective,and 9 and 5 failed,with the effective rate being 71.9% and 85.7%,respectively.The effective rate of the treatment group was significantly superior to that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion combined with Rhinocort spray has a good therapeutic effect in improving symptoms,sleep and quality of life in patients with persistent moderate-severe AR,which is obviously superior to that of Rhinocort spray alone in improving sleep and quality of life.

摘要:Objective To observe the effect of low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation on gastrointestinal motility in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy,and its impact on regulation of inflammatory response,so as to evaluate its clinical value.Methods A total of 177 patients undergoing radical gastrectomy were randomly divided into conventional group(n=43),lowfrequency electrical acupoint stimulation(LEAS)group(n=45),fast track surgery(FTS)group(n=46)and FTS+LEAS group(n=43).Patients of the conventional group received conventional treatment(pre-surgical mechanical bowel preparation,postsurgical fasting,and indwelling abdominal drainage tube,etc.).Patients in the LEAS group were treated by low-frequency electrical stimulation at bilateral Zusanli(ST36),Shangjuxu(ST37),Xiajuxu(ST39)and Sanyinjiao(SP6)for 30 min,once daily from 1 day after the operation to first postoperative flatus.FTS group was given fast track surgery treatment,such as preoperative education,preoperative nutritional support,early oral feeding,early removal of abdominal drainage tube,etc.The FTS+LEAS group was given low-frequency electrical acupoint stimulation on the basis of the FTS treatment.Levels of white blood cells(WBC),neutrophils(N),C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)at 1,3,and 6 d after the operation in the 4 groups were assayed.The first postoperative flatus and defecation time were recorded.Results After the treatment,the first postoperative flatus and defecation time in the LEAS,FTS and FTS+LEAS groups were significantly shorter than those of the conventional group(P<0.05),and the first flatus time of the FTS+LEAS group was even earlier than that of the FTS group(P<0.05).No significant differences were found among the 3 groups in the postoperative defecation time(P>0.05).The CRP levels in the 4 groups on 3 and 6 d after operation were higher than those on the 1 st postoperative day,and the highest level was on 3 d after the operation.Compared with the conventional group,CRP level on 3 d and CRP and IL-6 levels on 3 and 6 d in the LEAS and FTS+LEAS groups were significantly lower(P<0.05).Compared with the LEAS group,the levels of N,CRP on 3 d and the levels of N,CRP,IL-6 on 6 d in the FTS group were significantly increased(P<0.05).Compared with the FTS group,the level of CRP on 3 d and the levels of N,CRP,IL-6 on 6 d in the FTS+LEAS group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion FTS combined with LEAS is superior to simple FTS or LEAS treatment in shortening the first flatus and defecation time and promoting the recovery of gastrointestinal motility function in patients undergoing radical gastrectomy,which may be associated with its effect in alleviating postoperative inflammatory responses.
摘要:Objective The present study is to investigate the characteristic distribution of primary pain points and referred pain areas in patients with knee-joint pain diseases,therefore revealing the correlation between the myofascial trigger point and acupoint sensitization.Methods A total of 483 patients(320 men and 163 women,36 to 72 years in age)with knee-joint pain recruited from 4 clinical centers were observed from July,2017 to April,2019 in the present study.The areas of primary and referred pain in these patients were detected by thumb-pressing and marked on human anatomic atlas.Results Of the 483 enrolled participants,336 had lesion sites or tender points around the injured knee joint,and 147 with myofascial pain syndrome showed referred pain spots(zones)in the knee joint area.In 105 patients with patellar tendonitis,epiphysitis of the tibial tuberosity,or quadriceps tendonitis,the pain area was mainly distributed in the anterior region of the knee.In 76 patients with medial collateral ligament injury,medial meniscal lesion,goose foot bursitis or semimembranosus ending-point inflammation,the pain points mainly occurred in the medial area of the knee.In 127 patients with lateral collateral ligament,lateral meniscus lesion,iliotibial band tendonitis,popliteus or triceps tendinitis,the pain spots were found in the lateral region of the knee.In 28 patients with posterior cruciate ligament injury or popliteal fossa tendonitis,the local pain was found to be at the back of the knee.Referred pain areas were normally detected in the lateral femoral muscles(43 cases),anterior femoral muscles(39 cases),adductor group of femur(26 cases),posterior popliteal fossa muscles group(15 cases),hamstrings(13 cases)and medial leg(11 cases).Conclusion The primary pain areas or spots of the knee injury mainly distribute around the joint,whereas those of each muscle group lesion are often located in their respective skeletal muscle.Most of the referred pain areas often occur in the distal end of skeletal muscle and around the knee joint.Primary myofascial trigger points may be considered to be an indicator of acupoint sensitization.
摘要:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupoint thread-embedding therapy at different intervals in the treatment of metabolic syndrome,and to find the optimal treatment interval.Methods A total of 70 patients with metabolic syndrome were randomly divided into treatment group 1(n=35)and treatment group 2(n=35).Both groups were given acupoint thread-embedding therapy at Zhongwan(CV12),bilateral Liangmen(ST21),bilateral Huaroumen(ST24),bilateral Tianshu(ST25),bilateral Daimai(GB26),Guanyuan(CV4),bilateral Dachangshu(BL25),bilateral Pishu(BL20),bilateral Zusanli(ST36),bilateral Yinlingquan(SP9),and bilateral Fenglong(ST40),and the treatment interval was 7 dfor treatment group 1 and 14 dfor treatment group 2.Each course of treatment was 42 d,and both groups were treated for 2 courses.Waist circumference(WC),hip circumference(HC),waist-hip ratio(WHR),body mass index(BMI),serum triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),and glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb1Ac)were measured before and after treatment to analyze clinical outcome,and adverse reactions were recorded.Results After treatment,both groups had significant reductions in WC,HC,WHR,BMI,TG,LDL-C,FPG and Hb1Ac(P<0.05)and a significant increase in HDL-C(P<0.05).Compared with treatment group 1,treatment group 2 had significant increases in WC,WHR,BMI,TG,LDL-C,FPG and Hb1Ac(P<0.05)and a significant reduction in HDL-C(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Under the premise of ensuring efficacy and safety,an interval of 7 dis the optimal interval for acupoint thread-embedding therapy in the clinical intervention of metabolic syndrome.
摘要:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture therapy in the treatment of chronic urticaria.Methods Randomized controlled trials of acupuncture treatment of chronic urticaria published from January of 2008 to October of 2018 were searched from databases of CNKI,VIP,Wanfang,CBM,PubMed,Embase and Cochrane Library by using key words"urticaria or urticarias" "acupuncture therapy" "acupuncture treatment" and "randomized controlled trial(RCT)".The retrieved RCT papers were input into EndNote X8 document management software for screening the qualified ones,followed by evaluating the quality of the screened papers.The data extraction table was designed,and the information and data needed for the research were accurately extracted.Finally,Review Manager 5.3 software was used to analyze the included literature.Results A total of 1 095 articles were retrieved,and 16 RCTs were included finally.The Meta-analysis showed that the total therapeutic efficacy was OR=3.85,95% CI[2.61,5.69],P<0.000 01.The diamonds for comparison between the acupuncture and control(medication)groups in the"Feng Tuan"(urticaria)number,itching,onset duration,swelling degree and scratch test scores were on the right side of the invalid line of forest maps.The recurrence rate(reported in 4 papers)was lower in the acupuncture group than in the control group(OR=0.28,95% CI being[0.14,0.55],P=0.000 3).Conclusion Acupuncture treatment is significantly better than antihistamine administration alone in the treatment of chronic urticaria,with lower recurrence rate.High-quality clinical studies with rigorous design and large sample sizes are needed for providing more reliable evidence.
摘要:Objective To dig the knowledge structure of lumbago's symptoms and acupoints in book Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing(A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion)and Zhenjiu Dacheng(Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion)in order to provide a possible scientific method for exploring their combination regularities in ancient Chinese medical books about acupuncture-moxibustion,and to investigate the feasibility and scientificity of the"association rule"in trimming the related ancient medical books and records.Methods The articles about lumbago's symptoms and employed acupoints were screened from classic medical book Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing and Zhenjiu Dacheng,followed by establishing a database.Then,the bidimensional correlation analysis about the lumbago-symptoms and symptoms-acupoints was conducted by using Apriori algorithm of Weka3.9.0 platform.Results A total of 153 entries about symptoms as spinalgia(31.68%)and cold limbs(25.74%)and the employed acupoints as Weizhong(BL40,17.60%),Shenshu(BL23,9.60%)and Kunlun(BL60,6.40%)are found.The top 3 supplemented acupoints are BL40 for concomitant symptoms of spinalgia,BL23 for cold limbs,and BL60 for dizzy symptoms.Regarding the paired acupoints for lumbago,the most frequently used ones are BL23-BL40(30.40%).Conclusion In book Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing and Zhenjiu Dacheng,lumbago has chief symptoms of spinalgia and cold limbs that are mainly disorders of the Bladder Meridian of Foot Taiyang and Governor Vessel,and the acupoints of these two meridians are frequently selected in combination with some specific acupoints.

摘要:The electrical characteristics of meridians and acupoints have been being one of the hot topics discussed by scholars,because of many influencing factors and inconsistent research results.In the present article,we collected papers published in Chinese or English in recent 10 years from PubMed,CNKI,and VIP databases by using key words of"acupuncture" "meridian" "resistance" "capacitance" "electrodermal" and "impedance".Then,we make an analysis about its development from three aspects,1)manifestations of electrical properties of acupoints(low dermal resistance under pathological state,imbalance between left and right sides of the synonym acupoints),2)clinical application of acupoint electrical characteristics for diagnosis of clinical disorders and evaluation of therapeutic effect,and 3)current situations of development of meridian detection instruments based on electrical characteristics(improving stability of instruments,expansion of the detected regions and measuring time,realization of visualization,and operational automation).In the process of coming studies,we highly recommend that more attention should be paid to the acupoints' "dynamic changes",and forming a standardized research plan,strengthening domestic and international academic exchanges and cooperation are definitely necessary in order to validate the objectivity and specificity of electrical characteristics of meridians and acupoints,further expanding its clinical application.

摘要:Treatment of tumors,especially the malignant tumors,is a world-class medical problem and still plagues clinicians and medical scientists a lot nowadays.Moxibustion therapy has been used in the treatment of tumors in clinic practice for many years and the related mechanism researches have achieved a lot of achievements.In the present paper,we reviewed researches on moxibustion treatment for tumor from the self-regulation of the immune system in patients and animal models.Outcomes display that moxibustion therapy has an action in resisting tumors by 1)regulating innate immune defensive function and enhancing adaptive immunity(by up-regulating activities of natural killer[NK]cells,and phagocytic function of macrophages),2)stimulating cellular immunity(by increasing the ratio of CD4+/CD8+/CD8+,lymphocyte transformation rate,etc.),and B lymphocyte-mediated humoral immunity(via regulating contents of IgG,IgA,IgM,etc.),3)modulating levels of cytokines as interleukins,interferons,tumor necrosis factor superfamily colony stimulating factor,chemokine growth factor,vascular endothelial growth factor,VEGF,etc.,4)regulating expression of many related proteins and genes,and 5)regulating related hormones,neurotransmitters,intracellular kinases signaling,etc.,and other immune-related components.
