      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on pyroptosis-related proteins in synovium of knee joint in rats with knee osteoarthritis(KOA), in order to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of KOA.Methods Forty male SD rats were randomly divided into control, model, EA and medication groups, with 10 rats in each group. The KOA model was established by injecting 0.2 mL 4% papain solution into the right intra-articular cavity, followed by repeating the injection again on day 4 and 7 after the first injection. After successful modeling, rats of the EA group received EA stimulation of “Neixiyan”(EX-LE4) and “Dubi”(ST35) on the right limb for 15 min, once every day, 6 days per week, for a total of 4 weeks, and those of the medication group received gavage of celecoxib 24 mg/kg, once every day, 6 days per week, for a total of 4 weeks. The severity of dysfunction of the right knee was assessed by using Lequesne's score. Serum interleukin(IL)-1β and IL-18 contents were detected by ELISA. Histopathological changes of the synovium tissue of the right knee joint were observed to give score(synovial pathological score) after H.E. staining. The expression position and intensity of Nod-like receptor pyrin domain 3(NLRP3) in syno-vial tissue were observed by immunohistochemistry. The expression levels of NLRP3, apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing card(ASC), Caspase-1, Gasdermin D(GSDMD), IL-1β and IL-18 mRNAs and proteins(including GSDMD-N) in the synovial tissue of the right knee joint were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot, separately. Results Compared with the control group, the model group had a significant increase in the Lequesne's score, synovial pathological score, serum IL-1β and IL-18 contents, and the expression levels of NLRP3, ASC, Caspase-1, GSDMD, IL-1β, IL-18 mRNAs and proteins and GSDMD-N protein(P<0.01). Whereas relevant to the model group, both the EA and medication groups had marked lower levels of Lequesne's score and synovial pathological score, serum IL-1β and IL-18 contents, and expression levels of NLRP3, ASC, Caspase-1, IL-1β, IL-18 mRNAs and proteins, GSDMD mRNA and GSDMD-N protein(P<0.01, P<0.05). Comparison between two intervention groups showed that the contents of serum IL-1β and IL-18, and the expression levels of IL-1β mRNA and protein were significantly higher in the EA group than in the medication group(P<0.05, P<0.01). No significant differences were found between the EA and medication groups in the Lequesne's score, synovial pathological score, NLRP3, ASC, Caspase-1 and IL-18 mRNAs and proteins, as well as GSDMD mRNA(P>0.05). Conclusion EA can alleviate the inflammatory response of synovial tissues of knee joints in KOA rats, which may be related to its function in down-regulating the expression levels of synovial NLRP3, ASC, Caspase-1, IL-1β and IL-18 mRNAs and proteins, and GSDMD mRNA and GSDMD-N proteins, reducing the occurrence of pyroptosis.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on the expression of Iba-1, complement C1q and CD68 in hippocampus of SAMP8 mice, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of Alzheimer's disease(AD). Methods Twenty-four male SAMP8 mice were randomly and equally divided into model and EA groups, and 12 SAMR1 mice were used as the control group. EA(2 Hz, 1.5-2.0 mA) was applied to “Baihui”(GV20), “Dazhui”(GV14) and “Shen-shu”(BL23) for 20 min once daily in the EA group, each course of treatment was 8 days, with an interval of 2 days between two courses, and the mice were treated for 3 courses. Morris water maze test was performed to assess the learning-memory ability of mice. The positive expression levels of Iba-1 and CD68 proteins in the hippocampus CA1 region were detected by immunohistochemistry. The mRNA and protein expression levels of Iba-1,C1q and CD68 in the hippocampus were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot, separately. Results Compared with the control group, the average escape latency of Morris water maze test was prolonged in the model group(P<0.01), duration of swimming in the original platform quadrant and the number of original platform crossing were significantly shorter and decreased respectively(P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the average escape latency in the EA group was shortened(P<0.05, P<0.01), the duration of swimming in the original platform quadrant and the number of original platform crossing were significantly prolonged and increased(P<0.01). The immunoactivity of Iba-1 and CD68 in hippocampal CA1 region, and mRNA and protein expression levels of hippocampal Iba-1,C1q and CD68 were significantly up-regulated in the model group in contrast to the control group(P<0.01, P<0.05), and obviously down-regulated except the mRNA expression level of hippocampal Iba-1 in the EA group relevant to the model group(P<0.01, P<0.05). Conclusion EA can improve the learning and memory ability of SAMP8 mice, which may be associated with its effect in inhibiting of complement C1q-dependent microglial phagocytosis in the hippocampus.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on the expression of nuclear transcription factors κB(NF-κB) and Tau protein and content of amyloid(Aβ) in diabetic rats with cognitive impairment, so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of learning-memory ability. Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into normal control(n=9), model(n=9) and EA(n=9) groups. The diabetic mellitus model was established by feeding the rats with high fat and high sugar for 1 month and intraperitoneal injection of STZ(25 mg·kg(-1)·d(-1)·d(-1)) for 2 days. EA was applied to “Zusanli”(ST36) and “Neiting”(ST44) for 20 min, alternatively on both side every day, and “Yishu”(EX-B3) was stimulated by twirling the acupuncture needle with uniform reinforcing-reducing method for 1 min, followed by retaining it for 20 min. The treatment was conducted 6 times a week for 4 weeks. The learning-memory ability was evaluated by using Morris water maze swimming test. The blood glucose level was randomly detected by using a glucometer, the content of Aβ1-42 in the hippocampal tissue was detected by ELISA, and the relative expression levels of hippocampal Tau and NF-κB p65 proteins and mRNAs were determined by Western blot and fluorescence quantitative real-time PCR, separately. Results After modeling, the blood glucose, escape latency, Aβ1-42 content and the expression levels of Tau and NF-κB p65 proteins and mRNAs in the model group were significantly increased(P<0.01, P<0.05) in comparison with the normal control group. Following EA intervention, the modeling induced increase of blood glucose, escape latency, Aβ1-42 content and the expression levels of Tau and NF-κB p65 proteins and mRNAs were reversed(P<0.05, P<0.01). Conclusion EA can improve the learning-memory ability in rats with diabetic cognitive impairment, which may be related to its function in down-regulating the levels of hippocampal Aβ1-42, Tau and NF-κB proteins.

      摘要:Objective To explore the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at “Shuigou”(GV6) and “Baihui”(GV20) on autophagy of hippocampal neurons in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion(I/R) injury rats. Methods Forty-eight healthy male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation, model and EA groups, with 16 rats in each group. The rat model of cerebral I/R injury was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO). Rats of the EA group received EA at GV26 and GV20 for 20 min, once daily for 5 days. The neurological function of rats in each group was evaluated by Longa neurological function score. The cerebral infarction volume was measured by TTC staining. The levels of IL-6, IL-18 and TNF-α in cerebrospinal fluid were detected by ELISA. Real-time PCR and Western blot were respectively used to detect the expressions of autophagy-related proteins AMPK, Beclin-1, VPS34 and LC3B. Results Compared with the sham operation group, neurological function scores of rats in the model group were significantly increased(P<0.01); the volume of cerebral infarction was significantly increased(P<0.01); the contents of IL-6, IL-18 and TNF-α in cerebrospinal fluid were increased(P<0.01, P<0.05); the mRNA expression levels of AMPK, Beclin-1, VPS34 and LC3B were significantly increased(P<0.01); the protein expressions of AMPK, Beclin-1, VPS34 and the ratio of LC3B-Ⅱ/LC3B-Ⅰ were increased(P<0.01, P<0.05). After intervention and in comparison with the model group, the neurological function scores were decreased(P<0.05); the cerebral infarct volume were decreased(P<0.05); the contents of IL-6, IL-18 and TNF-α in cerebrospinal fluid were decreased(P<0.05); the mRNA expressions of AMPK, Beclin-1, VPS34 and LC3B were significantly decreased(P<0.01); the protein expressions of AMPK, Beclin-1, VPS34 and the ratio of LC3 B-Ⅱ/LC3B-Ⅰ were decreased(P<0.05, P<0.01). Conclusion EA can improve the neurological function and alleviate the degree of nerve injury in rats with cerebral I/R injury, which may be related to inhibiting the autophagy level of hippocampal neurons.

      摘要:Objective To investigate the protective effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at “Zusanli”(ST36)and “Weiwanxiashu”(EX-B3) on capillary function around the renal tubule and renal tubule structure in diabetic mice based on two-photon microscopy(TPM) imaging, so as to providing visualizable evidence for the regulatory effect of EA on diabetic renal vascular microcirculation. Methods Spontaneous type Ⅱ diabetes mellitus mice(db/db) were employed for this study. Twenty db/db mice were randomly divided into model group(n=10) and EA group(n=10), and 10 db/m mice used as the control group. EA was applied to bilateral ST36 and EX-B3 for 20 min/time, 6 times a week for 6 weeks. The body weight was recorded and the fasting blood glucose measured before and after the intervention. The urine production and water consumption of mice in each cage were recorded after EA. The renal in vivo imaging method based on TPM was established to display the morphological structure of renal tubules, and the mouse renal blood flow velocity was detected by injecting 500 kDa dextran-fluorescein into femoral vein after the intervention. Results Compared with the control group, the proportion of mice with decreased body mass in the model group was increased, accounting for 40%, while that in the control group was 0%; and fasting blood glucose, urine production and water consumption were significantly increased in the model group(P<0.001, P<0.000 1). A renal in vivo imaging method based on TPM was successfully established, which can be applied to quantitatively analyze the renal blood flow and renal tubular diameter of mice. Based on this method, the results showed that compared with the control group, the blood flow velocity of peritubular capillary in the model group was significantly decreased(P<0.000 1, P<0.001), renal tubular cells were slightly exfoliated and the diameter of renal tubular was significantly increased(P<0.000 1). Compared with the model group, EA reduced the body weight loss ratio from 40% to 0%, and significantly decreased the fasting blood glucose, urine production and water consumption(P<0.01, P<0.000 1, P<0.001), and the blood flow velocity of peritubular capillary in the EA group was significantly increased(P<0.001, P<0.05) and tubule dilatation significantly alleviated(P<0.0 1). Conclusion EA at ST36 and EX-B3 can ameliorate renal vascular microcirculation disorder to relieve the renal structure damage and improve renal function in diabetes mice.

      摘要:Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on the Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) inflammatory pathway in the liver of obese rats with insulin resistance, and explore its mechanism. Methods Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into a normal group(n=15) and an experimental group(n=30). The obesity-induced insulin resistance model was induced by the high-fat diet(HFD) in rats of the experimental group for 8 weeks. Subsequently, the model rats were further divided into a model group(n=15) and an EA group(n=15). EA was applied at “Zhongwan ”(CV12), “Guanyuan”(CV4), “Zusanli ”(ST36) and “Fenglong ”(ST40) in the EA group for 10 min, three times a week for 8 weeks. The body weight of rats in each group was measured before intervention and at the 2(nd), 4(nd), 4(th), 6(th), 6(th), and 8(th), and 8(th) weeks during the intervention. Glucose infusion rate(GIR) was measured by glucose clamp test before and after treatment. After treatment, fast blood glucose(FBG) was detected by the glucometer, and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) was calculated. The contents of fasting insulin(FINS), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), and interleukin-6(IL-6) were determined by ELISA. The protein expressions of TLR4, IκB kinase β(IKKβ), phosphorylated IKKβ(p-IKKβ), NF-κB p65, and TNF-α related to the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway in the liver of rats were detected by Western blot. Results Compared with the normal group, the body weight, HOMA-IR levels, serum levels of FINS, TNF-α, and IL-6 were up-regulated(P<0.01), and the GIR level was down-regulated(P<0.01), the protein expressions of TLR4, IKKβ, p-IKKβ, NF-κB p65 and TNF-α in liver tissues were increased(P<0.05) in the model group. Compared with the model group, the EA group showed weight loss from the 6(th) weeks during the intervention. Glucose infusion rate(GIR) was measured by glucose clamp test before and after treatment. Conclusion EA can reduce the inflammatory response and improve peripheral insulin sensitivity by inhibiting the TLR4/NF-κB pathway in liver tissues of obese rats with insulin resistance, showing a good regulatory effect on insulin resistance induced by obesity.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of “Shugan Tiaoshen”(liver-soothing and mind-regulating) acupuncture on behavior reactions, opioid receptor expressions in the anterior cingulate cortex tissue and inflammatory factors in the serum in migraine rats, in order to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of migraine. Methods In the first part of this study, forty male Wistar rats were randomized into control, model, routine acupuncture and “Shugan Tiaoshen” acupuncture groups(n=10/group), and in the second part, other 40 more male Wistar rats were randomized into low, medium and high dosage of blocker of μ opioid receptor(OPRM)CTOP5 and PBS groups(n=10/group, for validating the involvement of opioid receptor in the effect of “Shugan Tiaoshen”). The migraine model was established by subcutaneous injection of glyceryl trinitrate. Routine acupuncture was applied to “Baihui”(GV20) and bilateral“Fengchi”(GB20), and “Shugan Tiaoshen” acupuncture applied to GV20, and bila-teral GB20, “Neiguan”(PC6) and “Taichong”(LR3), with the needles retained for 30 min. Behavior responses(head scratching, tail biting, cage climbing and number of going there and back) were scaled. Serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α were detected by ELISA, and the expression levels of opioid receptor μ, δ and κ(OPRM, OPRD, OPRK) mRNAs and proteins in the anterior cingulate cortex were detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot separately. In the second part of this study, CTOP solution(5μL at concentrations of 20μg/μL,10μg/μL and 5μg/μL) or PBS was injected into the bilateral rostral portions of anterior cingulate cortex 30 min before every “Shugan Tiaoshen” acupuncture intervention, followed by observing the behavioral changes and assaying the contents of serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α. Results After modeling, the behavioral score, serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α contents were significantly increased in the model group relevant to the control group(P<0.05), and the beha-vioral score had no significant difference among the model and two acupuncture groups before intervention(P>0.05). Whereas the expression levels of OPRM, OPRD and OPRK mRNAs and proteins had a slight increase in the model group(P>0.05). After the intervention, the behavioral score, serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α contents were significantly decreased and the expression levels of OPRM, OPRD and OPRK mRNAs(2.150, 1.066 and 0.805 folds in the “Shugan Tiaoshen” group) and proteins(2.273, 0.901 and 0.893 folds in the “Shugan Tiaoshen” group) notably up-regulated in both “Shugan Tiaoshen” and routine acupuncture groups relevant to the model group(P<0.01, P<0.05), showing that the biggest up-regulation of mRNA expression was OPRM. Comparison between two acupuncture groups showed that the behavioral score, and serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α contents were significantly lower, and the expression levels of OPRM, OPRD and OPRK mRNAs and proteins obviously higher in the “Shugan Tiaoshen” group than those in the routine acupuncture group(P<0.01,P<0.05). Results of the second part of this study showed that after injection of antagonist CTOP of OPRM, the therapeutic effect of “Shugan Tiaoshen” acupuncture was weakened in the reduction of behavioral score and serum IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α contents, being minimal, moderate and maximum in the high, medium and low dose of antagonist relevant to PBS in sequence(P<0.05, P<0.01). Conclusion “Shugan Tiaoshen” acupuncture can mitigate pain in migraine rats, which may be associated with its function in up-regulating the expressions of opioid receptors(especially OPRM), and in inhibiting inflammatory reaction in the anterior cingulate cortex.

      摘要:Objective To study the effect of transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation(taVNS) on gastric sensitivity and motility in rats with functional dyspepsia(FD), so as to explore its underlying mechanism in improving FD. Methods A total of 48 young SD rats were randomly divided into control(n=10), model(n=9), taVNS(n=9), subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve stimulation(SDVNS, n=9) and sham SDVNS(n=7) groups. The FD model was established by gavage of 0.1% iodoa-cetamide+2% glucose, once daily for 6 days. Rats in the taVNS group received taVNS(0.5 mA) of optopoint “Heart” and “Stomach” for 30 min, once daily for 14 days, while rats in the SDVNS group received subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve stimulation through the implanted electrode, and those of the sham SDVNS group received only application of the same electrodes without electrical stimulation. Electromyogram(EMG) of the cervical trapezius muscle(reflecting gastric sensitivity) was recorded before and after intragastric expansion via an air ballon and the gastric emptying rate was calculated for assessing the gastric motility. The contents of acetylcholine(ACh), nicotinic acetylcholine receptor α7 subunit(α7 nAChR), interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-1β(IL-1β) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in the duodenum tissue were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). The expression of nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB) p65 in the duodenum tissue was determined by Western blot. Results In comparison with the control group, the EMG change rate at intragastric pressure levels of 40, 60 and 80 mm Hg, expression of NF-κB p65 protein, and contents of IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α were significantly increased(P<0.05,P<0.01, P<0.001), while the gastric emptying rate, ACh and α7 nAChR contents considerably decreased(P<0.05, P<0.001) in the model group. After interventions, the EMG change rate, contents of IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α, and expression of NF-κB p65 were notably decreased(P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.001), and the gastric emptying rate, ACh and α7 nAChR contents obviously increased(P<0.05, P<0.001) in both taVNS and SDVNS groups relevant to the model group. In comparison with the sham SDVNS group, the EMG change rate, contents of IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α, and expression of NF-κB p65 were notably decreased(P<0.01, P<0.05,P<0.001), and the gastric emptying rate, ACh and α7 nAChR contents obviously increased(P<0.01, P<0.001) in the both SDVNS and taVNS groups. Conclusion taVNS can reduce gastric sensitivity and promote gastric emptying in FD model rats, which may be closely related to its functions in up-regulating ACh and α7 nAChR contents and inhibiting the activation of NF-κB p65 signaling in the duodenum.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of moxibustion combined with acupoint catgut embedding on the content of interleukin 6(IL-6), and the expressions of janus activated kinase(JAK), signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3) in colonic mucosa of rats with ulcerative colitis(UC), so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of UC. Methods Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, acupoint catgut embedding(ACE), moxibustion and acupoint catgut embedding combined with moxibustion(combination) groups(n=6 rats in each group). The UC model was established by enema of trinitro-benzene-sulfonic acid and ethanol. Moxibustion was applied to bilateral “Tianshu”(ST25), “Dachangshu”(BL25) and “Shangjuxu”(ST37) for 10 min, once daily for 14 days, and ACE applied to the same 3 acupoints, once a week for two weeks. After the treatment, colonic mucosal pathological changes were observed by H.E. staining, the level of IL-6 in colonic mucosa was assayed by ELISA, and the expressions of JAK and STAT3 in colonic mucosa were detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blot. Results H.E. staining showed severe defect of the colonic mucosal epithelium with infiltration of a large number of inflammatory cells in the model group, which was milder in moxibustion, ACE and combination groups. After modeling, the content of colonic IL-6, and the expression levels of JAK and STAT3 were obviously increased(P<0.01) in the model group relevant to the normal group. Following the intervention, the increase of IL-6 contents, and JAK and STAT3 expressions were reversed(P<0.05, P<0.01) in moxibustion, ACE and combination groups. The therapeutic effects of moxibustion combined with ACE were considerably superior to those of simple ACE and simple moxibustion in down-regulating the levels of JAK and STAT3 expression(P<0.01). Conclusion Acupoint catgut embedding combined with moxibustion can repair the injured colonic mucosa of UC rats, which may be related with its effect in suppressing the activation of IL-6/JAK/STAT3 signaling pathway.

      摘要:Objective To explore the possible mechanism of electroacupuncture(EA) underlying improvement of chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CPPS). Methods Fifty SD rats were randomly divided into control, model, sham operation, EA and sham EA groups(n=10 rats in each group). The CPPS model was established by injecting complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA, 50 μL) into the ventral lobes of the prostate. EA(2 Hz/100 Hz) was applied to “Guanyuan”(CV4), “Zhongji”(CV3), “Sanyinjiao”(SP6) and “Huiyang”(BL35) once daily for 40 min, 5 days a week for 4 weeks, while rats in the sham EA group were treated with the same acupoints but without electrical stimulation. Mechanical pain threshold(MPT) and heat pain threshold(HPT) were measured before and after intervention. The body weight and prostate weight were measured and prostate index was calculated. Histopathological changes of prostate tissue were observed by HE staining. The levels of cycloxygenase-2(COX-2), prostaglandin E2(PGE2) and β-endorphin(β-EP) in prostate tissue were detected by ELISA. Results Compared with the control and sham operation groups, the MPT and HPT were significantly lower(P<0.01), and the prostate weight, prostate index, the contents of PGE2 and COX-2 were significantly increased(P<0.01), while the content of β-EP was significantly decreased(P<0.01) in the model group. Compared with the model group, the MPT and HPT were significantly increased(P<0.01) after 3 and 4 courses of treatment, and the prostate weight, prostate index, the contents of PGE2 and COX-2 were significantly decreased(P<0.01), while the content of β-EP was significantly increased(P<0.01) in the EA group, rather than in the sham EA group(P>0.05). Conclusion EA can effectively relieve pain in CPPS rats, which may be related to its functions in down-regulating COX-2 and PGE2, and up-regulating β-EP.

      摘要:Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of acupoint catgut embedding combined with quadruple therapy on Helicobacter pylori(Hp)-positive(+) chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG) of spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome and explore the underlying mechanism. Methods Hp(+) CAG patients with spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome were randomly divi-ded into a control group(n=68) and a treatment group(n=71). In addition to the routine quadruple therapy for two weeks, the patients in the control group received oral Weifuchun Tablets(4 tablets once, tid.), and those in the treatment group underwent acupoint catgut embedding at Pishu(BL20), Weishu(BL21), Zhongwan(CV12), and Zusanli(ST36), once a week. The two groups were treated for three months in total. The scores of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) symptoms and signs, clinical efficacies, quality of life scale scores(PRO scores and HAMA scores), endoscopic and histopathologic scores, Hp eradication rates detected by (13)C breath test, and the recurrence rates after six months of the two group were compared. The changes in serum gastrin 17(G-17), pepsinogen Ⅰ(PGⅠ) and pepsinogen Ⅱ(PGⅡ) were detected by ELISA, and PGⅠ/PGⅡ was calculated. Results There was no significant difference in the eradication rate of Hp between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05), but the recurrence rate after six months in the treatment group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of TCM symptoms and signs, endoscopic and histopathologic scores, PRO scores, and HAMA scores were decreased in both groups(P<0.01), while serum levels of G-17, PG Ⅰ, PG Ⅱ, and PG Ⅰ/PG Ⅱ were increased(P<0.05, P<0.01). The treatment group was superior to the control group in alleviating stomach discomfort by pressing or warmth, decreasing the total score of TCM symptoms and signs, relieving anorexia, mottled gastric mucosa, mucosal ulcer, chronic inflammation, and activity, improving anxiety, and regulating G-17(P<0.05, P<0.01). The effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 40.85%(29/71) and 23.53%(16/68),the treatment group was higher than the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Acupoint catgut embedding combined with quadruple therapy in the treatment of Hp(+) CAG of spleen and stomach deficiency syndrome is significant in clinical efficacy and low in recurrence rate, which is presumedly achieved by repairing gastric mucosa and sensitizing the secretion of G-17 and pepsinogen.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effects of matrix acupuncture on the neck disability index(NDI) score, clinical efficacy, and the calcification size of the nuchal ligament in patients of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with nuchal ligament calcification. Methods A total of 120 cases were randomly divided into a matrix acupuncture group and a routine acupuncture group, with 60 cases in each group. In the matrix acupuncture group, Ashi-point, bilateral Tianzhu(BL10), bilateral Fengchi(GB20), bilateral Dazhu(BL11), bilateral Jianzhongshu(SI15), and Jianjing(GB21), Tianzong(SI11), Quchi(LI11), Shousanli(LI10), Waiguan(TE5), and Hegu(LI4) at the affected side were selected. In the routine acupuncture group, C3—C7 Jiaji points at the neck and Jianjing(GB21), Tianzong(SI11), Quchi(LI11), Shousanli(LI10), Waiguan(TE5), Hegu(LI4), and Ashi-point at the affected side were selected. The patients in the two groups were treated 30 min once, six days a week, for a total of four weeks. The NDI scores, clinical efficacies, and calcification sizes of nuchal ligament were compared between the two groups every wee-kend. Results After four weeks of treatment, the NDI scores and calcification volumes of nuchal ligament decreased in both groups(P<0.05). Compared with the routine acupuncture group, the matrix acupuncture group showed decreased NDI scores and reduced calcification volumes of nuchal ligament at the 1(st), 2(st), 2(nd), 3(nd), 3(rd), and 4(rd), and 4(th) weeks of treatment(P<0.05). The cure and marked effective rate in the matrix acupuncture group at the 2(th) weeks of treatment(P<0.05). The cure and marked effective rate in the matrix acupuncture group at the 2(nd), 3(nd), 3(rd), and 4(rd), and 4(th) weeks of treatment were superior to those of the routine acupuncture group(P<0.05). Conclusion The matrix acupuncture group and the routine acupuncture group are effective in reducing the NDI score and calcification size of nuchal ligament in patients of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with nuchal ligament calcification. However, matrix acupuncture has obvious advantages over routine acupuncture.

      摘要:This paper introduced the research ideas and methods for the development of the national standard, “Pure moxa stick”. According to the orientation of product standard and related documents, on the basis of extensive investigation and in consultation with manufacturers and experts, the problems encountered in this standard development were solved. The general technical requirements were specified in association with the basic experimental data. The technical requirements should not only conform to the current technological status of moxa sticks production, but also present a certain of innovation. The innovation of this standard lies in the concepts of the ratio of leaves to floss, the ratio of whole plant to floss, density, etc. Besides, the main technical requirements of “Pure moxa stick” have been specified, i.e. material, shape and structure, combustion characteristics, physical and chemical characteristics. The development of national standard “Pure moxa stick” contributes to the favorable exploration and practice of the standardization of traditional Chinese medicine and provides the effective reference for the further stan-dardization of acupuncture and moxibustion.

      摘要:Acupuncture has an unique advantage in treatment of ischemic stroke, which not only promotes the repair of synaptic structure and function, but also regulates the transmission of neurotransmitters and receptors, as well as induces glial cell to repair neurons, and then to protect them. At present, the mechanism study on acupuncture for advancing synaptic plasticity in cerebral ischemia is of the high priority. In the paper, from the following three aspects, i.e. synaptic plasticity(structure and function), interaction between synapses(neurotransmitters and receptors), and interconnection between synapses and environments(synaptic-glial structure), the progress of mechanism study of acupuncture in recent years was reviewed on regulating synaptic plasticity in treatment of ischemic stroke.

      摘要:The paper reviewed the relevant studies on dyspnea treated with acupuncture over the past 20 years, as well as the underlying neuroendocrine mechanism from the perspective of central and peripheral vagus nerves, neurotransmitter, respiratory muscle function and anti-depression-anxiety function. It revealed that the central response area was regulated by acupuncture in treatment of dyspnea, which is similar to the area affected in acupuncture analgesia. Additionally, acupuncture generates its therapeutic effects on dyspnea through promoting the release of endogenous opioid peptides and the regulation of autonomic nerve, amygdale and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
