      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) combined with Zhuang-medicine-thread moxibustion on oxidative stress-related indicators in diabetic gastroparesis(DGP) rats, so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of DGP. Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, medication, EA, Zhuang-medicine-thread moxibustion(moxibustion) and EA+Zhuang-medicine-thread moxibustion(combination) groups(15 rats in each group). The DGP model was established by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin(STZ). Rats of the medication group were treated by gavage of 0.15 mg/mL mosapride citrate suspension(10 mL/kg). EA(10 Hz/50 Hz, 2 mA,20 min) or Zhuang-medicine-thread moxibustion(3 cones) was applied to “Zhongwan”(CV12), bilateral “Neiguan”(PC6) and bilateral “Sanyinjiao”(SP6) of the related groups, once a day for 3 weeks. The body weight, blood glucose, gastric emptying rate and intestinal propulsion rate of rats were measured. The serum malondialdehyde(MDA) content was measured by thiobarbituric acid method, the serum supero-xide dismutase(SOD) activity was measured by xanthine oxidase method, and the serum reactive oxygen species(ROS) activity was detected by ELISA. HE staining was used to observe the pathological changes of gastric antrum. The expression of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1), nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2), nicotin-amide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidases(NOX4), peroxisome proliferators activated receptor-gamma coactivator 1α(PGC-1α) proteins and mRNAs in gastric antrum was detected by Western blot and real-time quantitative PCR, respectively.Results Compared with the normal group, the body weight, gastric emptying rate, intestinal propulsion rate, serum SOD activity, the expressions of HO-1, PGC-1α,total Nrf2 proteins and mRNAs, and Nrf2 nuclear translocation in gastric antrum were decreased(P<0.01), while the blood glucose, serum MDA content and ROS activity, NOX4 protein and mRNA expressions in gastric antrum were increased(P<0.01) in the model group. Compared with the model group, the blood glucose was decreased in the EA, moxibustion and combination groups(P<0.01); the body weight, gastric emptying rate, intestinal propulsion rate, and the expressions of HO-1 and PGC-1α mRNAs in gastric antrum were all increased in the four treatment groups(P<0.01,P<0.05), while the serum MDA content and ROS activity, NOX4 protein and mRNA expressions in gastric antrum were all decreased(P<0.01); the serum SOD activity and total Nrf2 protein expression in gastric antrum were increased in medication, moxibustion and combination groups(P<0.01, P<0.05); the expressions of HO-1 and PGC-1α proteins, and Nrf2 nuclear translocation in gastric antrum were increased in medication and combination groups(P<0.05, P<0.01); the expression of Nrf2 mRNA was increased in the medication, EA and combination groups(P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared with the combination group, the body weight, gastric emptying rate and intestine propulsion rate were decreased in the medication, EA and moxibustion groups(P<0.01, P<0.05), and the blood glucose increased(P<0.01); the serum MDA content and ROS activity, NOX4 protein and mRNA expressions in gastric antrum were increased(P<0.01, P<0.05), serum SOD activity, and the expressions of total Nrf2 protein, PGC-1α protein and mRNA, HO-1 mRNA in gastric antrum were decreased(P<0.01, P<0.05) in the EA and moxibustion groups; the expression of Nrf2 mRNA was decreased in the moxibustion group(P<0.05). HE staining showed a large number of inflammatory cell infiltration in the lamina propria and submucosa, and the gastric glands in the lamina propria were significantly expanded, the submucosa was severely edematous in the model group, which were relative milder in the four treatment groups. Conclusion EA combined with Zhuang-medicine-thread moxibustion can effectively improve the activity of antioxidant enzymes, reduce the production of lipid peroxide, and regulate the expression of antioxidant related proteins and genes, which may be one of the mechanisms in treating DGP.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of moxibustion(Moxi) at acupoints of Governor Vessel on autophagy lysosomal function and lncRNA H19 in amyloid precursor protein/presenilin 1(APP/PS1) double transgenic Alzheimer's disease(AD) mice, so as to explore its underlying mechanisms in relieving AD. Methods Fifty two male APP/PS1 double transgenic AD mice were randomly divided into model, Moxi, Moxi+inhibitor and medication(rapamycin) groups, with 13 mice in each group. Other 13 male C57 BL/6 J mice of the same age were selected as the control group. The mice of the Moxi group received aconite cake-separated Moxi stimulation at “Baihui”(GV20), “Dazhui”(GV14) and “Fengfu”(GV16), for 15 min, those of the Moxi+inhibitor group received intraperitoneal injection of 3-methyladenine(an inhibitor of PI3 K for suppressing autophagy) 1.5 mg· kg(-1) · d(-1) · d(-1) on the basis of Moxi, and those of the medication group received intraperitoneal injection of rapamycin 2 mg· kg(-1) on the basis of Moxi, and those of the medication group received intraperitoneal injection of rapamycin 2 mg· kg(-1) · d(-1) · d(-1). The treatment was conducted once daily for 2 weeks. The mouse's learning-memory ability was detected by Morris water maze tests. The hippocampus tissue was sampled for observing the formation of autophagy by using transmission electron microscope, detecting the expression of Aβ_(1-42) protein with immunohistochemical staining, and for detecting the expression levels of long noncoding RNA H19(lncRNA H19), mammalian target of rapamycin kinase(mTOR), nuclear transcription factor EB(TFEB), Cathepsin D and lysosome associated membrane protein-1(LAMP1) genes and proteins as well as microtubule associated protein 1 light chain 3 B(LC3 B)-Ⅱ/LC3 B-Ⅰand autophagy protein p62 protein by quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot, respectively. Results In contrast to the control group, the model group had an evident increase in the escape latency of Morris water maze test, and in the expression levels of Aβ_(1-42) protein, lncRNA H19 mRNA, mTOR mRNA and protein, and p62 protein(P<0.05), and a significant decrease in the expression levels of TFEB, Cathepsin D, LAMP1 mRNAs and proteins and LC3 B-Ⅱ/LC3 B-Ⅰ(P<0.05). After the treatment and relevant to the model and Moxi+inhibitor groups, both the Moxi and medication groups had an obvious down-regulation in the levels of latency of Morris water maze, expression levels of Aβ_(1-42) protein, lncRNA H19 mRNA, mTOR mRNA and protein, and p62 protein(P<0.05), and a significant up-regulation in the levels of TFEB, Cathepsin D, LAMP1 mRNAs and proteins and LC3 B-Ⅱ/LC3 B-Ⅰ(P<0.05).Conclusion Moxi at acupoints of Governor Vessel can improve cognitive function of AD mice, which may be associated with its functions in inhibiting mTOR/TFEB pathway by down-regulating the expression of lncRNA H19, improving autophagy lysosomal function, promoting autophagy and clearing away Aβ_(1-42) in the hippocampus.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture on endoplasmic reticulum calcium, apoptosis number and Caspase-12 protein expression in hippocampal neurons of convulsive rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of convulsion. Methods SD rats were randomly divided into normal control, model and acupuncture groups, with 36 rats in each group. Rats in the normal control group received intraperitoneal injection(i.p.) of normal saline(2 mL), and those of the other 2 groups received i.p. of pentylenetetrazole(50 mg/kg) for establishing convulsion model. Manual acupuncture stimulation was applied to “Baihui”(GV20) and “Dazhui”(GV14) for 30 min after modeling. The hippocampal tissues were taken at 2, 12 and 48 h after modeling. The endoplasmic reticulum Ca(2+) concentration(optical density, OD) was detected by using fluorescence probe technique and laser confocal microscopy, and the number of apoptosis of hippocampal neurons at the 3 time points detected by using terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling(TUNEL) stain. The expression of Caspase-12 protein in hippocampus at 3 time points was observed by immunohistochemistry.Results In comparison with the normal group, the number of apoptotic cells of hippocampal neurons and the expression levels of Caspase-12 protein in hippocampus at 2, 12 and 48 h after seizures were obviously increased(P<0.01), and the OD value of Ca(2+) concentration(optical density, OD) was detected by using fluorescence probe technique and laser confocal microscopy, and the number of apoptosis of hippocampal neurons at the 3 time points detected by using terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling(TUNEL) stain.       摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) on behavior, pathomorphology and brain cell apoptosis in traumatic brain injury(TBI) rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying treatment of TBI. Methods Male SD rats were randomly divided into control(n=10), sham(n=30), model(n=30) and EA(n=30) groups, the latter three groups were further divided into 3, 7, 14 d subgroups(n=10). TBI model was established by using a free fall brain injury striking device after exposing the local cranial bone(to induce the left parietal cerebral contusion). Twenty-four hours after modeling, EA(2 Hz, 1 mA) was applied at “Quchi”(LI11), “Neiguan”(PC6), “Zusanli”(ST36) and “Yongquan”(KI1) combined with acupuncture at “Shuigou”(GV26) and “Baihui”(GV20) for 15 min, once a day for 14 consecutive days. After 3, 7, and 14 days treatment, the behavioral function(balance, walking, nerve, and limb retraction) of the rats was evaluated. The histopathological changes of the injured brain tissue were observed by HE staining. TUNEL method was used to detect the apoptosis of cells in the brain injury area. Results After modeling, the scores of balance and walking in the model group were higher than those in the sham group(P<0.01, P<0.05),the neurological function score and the right limb retraction force were lower than those in the sham group(P<0.01). After 3 days treatment, the neurological function score and the right limb retraction force in the EA group were higher than those in the model group(P<0.05). After 7 and 14 days treatment, the scores of balance and walking function in the EA group were lower than those in the model group(P<0.05, P<0.01), while the scores of nerve function and right limb retraction force were higher(P<0.05, P<0.01). HE staining showed that modeling induced pathological changes such as the inflammatory cell infiltration, interstitial edema, necrosis, nuclear pyknosis and nuclear lysis were relatively milder in the EA group on the 7(th) and 14(th) and 14(th) day. Compared with the sham group, the cell apoptosis of brain injury area was higher in the model group(P<0.01); while it was lower on day 7 and 14 in the EA group in comparison with the model group(P<0.01,P<0.05). Conclusion EA can improve the behavioral function, reduce the apoptosis of brain cells in the injured area, and promote the rehabilitation of craniocerebral injury.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at “Zusanli”(ST36) pretreatment on lung functions, inflammatory response, and levels of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2) and angiotensin(1-7) [Ang(1-7)] in rats with sepsis-induced acute lung injury(ALI), so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of ALI. Methods Thirty male SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model and EA groups(n=10 in each group). The sepsis-related ALI model was established by intraperitoneal injection of lipopolysaccharide(LPS, 5 mg/kg). Rats of the EA group received EA(4 Hz/20 Hz, 1—3 mA) stimulation at bilateral ST36 for 30 min, once each day, for 7 days before modeling. The lung functions including forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume at 0.1 second(FEV0.1) and FEV0.3 were detected using a respiratory function detector for small animals at 3 h after modeling. The bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF) was collected for assaying the contents of Ang(1-7), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-1 β(IL-1β) using ELISA. The lung wet/dry weight(W/D) ratio, FEV0.1/FVC, and FEV0.3/FVC were calculated. The histopathological changes of lung tissues were displayed by hematoxylin-eosin(H.E.) staining. The expression of ACE2 and mitochondrial assembly receptor(MasR) mRNAs and proteins in the lung tissue was detected by fluorescence quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot, separately. Results Following modeling, the levels of FVC, FEV0.1, FEV0.3, ratio of FEV0.1/FVC and FEV0.3/FVC, content of Ang(1-7) in the BALF, and the expression levels of ACE2 and MasR mRNAs and proteins in the lung tissue were significantly decreased(P<0.01), while the level of W/D ratio and TNF-α and IL-1β contents in the BALF significantly increased(P<0.01) in the model group relevant to the normal group. In comparison with the model group, the levels of FVC, FEV0.1, FEV0.3, ratio of FEV0.1/FVC and FEV0.3/FVC, content of Ang(1-7) in the BALF, and expression levels of ACE2 and MasR mRNAs and proteins in the lung tissue were significantly increased(P<0.05, P<0.01), whereas the level of W/D ratio, and TNF-α and IL-1β contents in the BALF were significantly decreased(P<0.05, P<0.01) in the EA group. H.E. staining showed pulmonary interstitial edema and alveolar septum thickening with severe inflammatory cell infiltration in the model group, which was relatively milder in the EA group. Conclusion EA preconditioning at ST36 can improve pulmonary function in sepsis-related ALI rats, which may be related to its effects in inhibiting inflammatory response and up-regulating ACE2 and MasR expression and Ang(1-7) content in the lung tissue.

      摘要:Objective To investigate the effects of acupuncture on phosphorylated P38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(p-P38 MAPK), intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1), interferon γ(IFN-γ), and eosinophilic granulocytes(EOS) in lung tissue of asthmatic rats, and to explore the mechanism of acupuncture in regulating the apoptosis of EOS. Methods Clean-grade male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal, model, dexamethasone and acupuncture groups, 8 rats in each group. The asthmatic model was established by intraperitoneal injection of mixture suspension(1 mL) of 10% ovalbumin and 10% Al(OH)_3+ normal saline, followed by inhalation of atomized 1% ovalbumin solution for 30 min, once daily for 2 weeks to trigger occurrence of asthmatic symptoms. The rats in dexamethasone group were intraperitoneally injected with 0.9 mg/kg dexamethasone since day 15 once a day for two consecutive weeks. In the acupuncture group, bilateral “Feishu”(BL13), “Pishu”(BL20), “Shenshu”(BL23), “Dingchuan”(EX-B1), and “Danzhong”(CV17) were selected for acupuncture treatment once every other day since day 15 for two consecutive weeks. Uniform reinforcing and reducing manipulation was carried out, and the needles were retained for 30 min. The pathological changes of the lung tissue were observed by hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining. The apoptosis of EOS in the lung tissue of rats was detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick-end labeling(TUNEL) assay. The expression of p-P38 MAPK in the lung tissue was detected by Western blot. The protein and mRNA levels of ICAM-1 and IFN-γ in the lung tissue were determined by immunohistochemistry and real-time PCR, respectively. Results The results of HE staining showed that the pulmonary alveoli and surrounding tissues were intact with no inflammatory cell infiltration in the normal group. The model group showed massive exudation of inflammatory materials and thickened pulmonary interstitium. The dexamethasone group and acupuncture group showed less damage of the alveolar structure and only a small number of inflammatory cells around the airway. Compared with the normal group, the apoptosis rate of EOS in lung tissue was decreased(P<0.01), the expression levels of p-P38 MAPK and ICAM-1 proteins and mRNAs in the lung tissue were up-regulated(P<0.01), while the expression levels of IFN-γ protein and mRNA in the lung tissue were down-regulated(P<0.01) in the model group. Compared with the model group, the apoptosis rate of EOS in the lung tissue was increased(P<0.05), the expression levels of p-P38 MAPK and ICAM-1 proteins and mRNAs in the lung tissue were down-regulated(P<0.01, P<0.05), while the expression levels of IFN-γ protein and mRNA were up-regulated(P<0.05, P<0.01) in the dexamethasone and acupuncture groups. Conclusion Acupuncture may inhibit the P38 MAPK signaling pathway, down-regulate ICAM-1 expression, and up-regulate IFN-γ expression to promote the apoptosis of EOS and reduce EOS aggregation, thus alleviating the inflammatory response of airway in asthma.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of “Zusanli”(ST36) and “Guanyuan”(CV4) on the apoptosis rate of synoviocytes and protein expression of Fas, FasL and Caspase-3 in synovial tissue of adjuvant-induced arthritis(AIA) rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Methods A total of 24 rats were randomly divided into normal, model, medication and EA groups, with 6 rats in each group. The AIA model was established by injection of complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA,0.1 mL) into the left hindlimb paw. The rats in the medication group received intraperitoneal injection of 0.35 mg/kg of methotrexate, twice a week for 4 weeks. The rats in the EA group received EA stimulation of ST36 and CV4(20 Hz/50 Hz, 1 mA) for 20 min, 6 times a week for 4 weeks. The left hind paw volume was measured using a paw volume meter, and histopathological changes of synovial tissue were observed by light microscope after H.E. staining. The serum contents of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-1(IL-1) were measured by ELISA. The apoptosis of synoviocytes was detected by terminal-deoxynucleoitidyl transferase mediated nick end labeling(TUNEL),and the expression of apoptosis-associated proteins Fas, FasL and Caspase-3 in synovium were detected by Western blot.Results Compared with the normal group, the left hind paw volume from day 3 to 24 after administration of CFA, serum IL-1 and TNF-α contents were significantly increased(P<0.01),while the expressions of Fas, FasL and Caspase-3 proteins and apoptotic rate of synoviocytes were significantly decreased in the model group(P<0.01). In comparison with the model group, the paw volume from day 17 to 24 after modeling, the serum IL-1 and TNF-α contents were significantly reduced(P<0.01),while the apoptotic rate of synoviocytes, expressions of Fas protein in both medication and EA groups, Caspase-3 protein in the acupuncture group and FasL protein in the medication group were increased(P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared with the medication group, the expression of FasL protein was decreased in EA group(P<0.05). H.E. stain showed obvious hyperplasia of the synovial lining layer, and disordered arrangement of synovial cells, with edema and enlargement in some cells in the model group, which was relatively milder in both medication and EA groups.Conclusion EA of ST36 and CV4 can promote the apoptosis of synoviocytes and the expressions of Fas and FasL proteins in AIA rats, which may contribute to its role in relieving synovitis through activating Fas/FasL signaling.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of Governor Vessel(GV) on the expressions of glutamate decarboxylase 67(GAD67) and γ-aminobutyric acid transaminase(GABA-T) in the cerebral cortex of rats with post-stroke limb spasticity, so as to explore its mechanism underlying improvement of limb spasticity. Methods Twenty four male SD rats were randomly and equally divided into control, sham operation, model, and EA groups. The cerebral ischemia model was established by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO). EA(100 Hz, 1—3 mA) was applied to “Dazhui”(GV14), “Jizhong”(GV6) and “Houhui”( anteromedial of transverse process of the sixth lumbar vertebra) for 30 min, once daily for 7 consecutive days. The neurologic deficit score(0—5 points) was evaluated according to Zea Longa's method, and the muscular tension severity(0—5 points) was assessed according to the modified Ashworth muscle tone rating scale, and the tension signals of the quadriceps ferroris of the affected limb were recorded using tonotransducer and BL-420 F electrophysiological recorder. The expression levels of GAD67 and GABA-T proteins and mRNAs in the cerebral cortex were detected by immunohistochemistry, fluorescence quantitative real-time PCR and Western blot, separately. Results After modeling, the neurological deficit score, muscle tone score, and the expression levels of GABA-T mRNA and protein in cerebral cortex were significantly increased(P<0.01, P<0.05), tension signal value and the expression levels of GAD67 mRNA and protein in cerebral cortex were significantly decreased(P<0.01) in the model group relevant to the control and sham operation groups. Following the intervention, the neurological deficit score, muscle tone score, and expression levels of GABA-T mRNA and protein in cerebral cortex were significantly decreased(P<0.01), tension signal value and the expression levels of GAD67 mRNA and protein in cerebral cortex were significantly increased(P<0.01, P<0.05) in the EA group in contrast to the model group. Conclusion EA stimulation of Governor Vessel can ameliorate the limb spasticity symptom in MCAO rats, which may be associated with its functions in increasing the expressions of GAD67 protein and mRNA and inhibiting the expressions of GABA-T protein and mRNA, thereby playing the inhibitory role of GABA.

      摘要:Objective To observe the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of bilateral “Tianshu”(ST25) at different frequencies on the first black stool discharge time, colonic electromyography(EMG) and immunoactivity of vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP) and substance P(SP) in the colon tissue in rats with slow transit constipation(STC), so as to choose a better stimulating frequency in the treatment of STC. Methods A total of 50 male Wistar rats were randomized into control, model, 2 Hz-EA, 100 Hz-EA, and 2 Hz/100 Hz-EA groups, with 10 rats in each group. The STC model was established by intraperitoneal injection of compound diphenoxylate suspension fluid(10 mg/kg). EA was applied to bilateral ST25 for 30 min, once a day for 14 consecutive days. The discharge time for the first black stool was recorded after gavage of mixed suspension fluid of active carbon(2 mL) for assessing the gastrointestinal motility. The colonic EMG was recorded by using a pair of silver electrodes and bioelectric amplifier. The expression of SP and VIP in the colonic tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Following mode-ling, the colonic EMG amplitude, the discharge time for the first black stool and VIP immunoactivity were significantly increased(P<0.01), and the EMG frequency and SP immunoactivity were significantly decreased(P<0.01) in the model group compared with the control group. Compared with the model group, the increase of the discharge time for the first black stool, EMG amplitude and VIP immunoactivity, the decrease of EMG frequency and SP immunoactivity were reversed in the 3 EA groups(P<0.01, P<0.05). The therapeutic effect of 100 Hz-EA was notably weaker than that of both 2 Hz-EA and 2 Hz/100 Hz-EA in up-regulating EMG frequency and SP immunoactivity and in down-regulating the discharge time for the first black stool, EMG amplitude and VIP immunoactivity(P<0.05, P<0.01). There was no significant difference between the 2 Hz/100 Hz-EA and 2 Hz-EA groups(P>0.05). Conclusion EA can accelerate colonic EMG activities, which may be associated with its functions in down-regulating VIP immunoactivity and up-regulating SP immunoactivity in the colonic tissues. The therapeutic effects of 2 Hz/100 Hz-EA and 2 Hz-EA are better than that of 100 Hz-EA.

      摘要:Objective To observe and compare the clinical efficacy on allergic rhinitis and the impacts on the expression of serum interleukin-4(IL-4), interleukin-6(IL-6) and interleukin-10(IL-10) between intranasal acupuncture and routine acupuncture. Methods According to the random number table method, 80 patients of allergic rhinitis were divided into an intranasal acupuncture group(40 cases) and a routine acupuncture group(40 cases). In the intranasal acupuncture group, Neiyingxiang(EX-HN9) and Biqiu(Extra) were punctured. In the routine acupuncture group, Yingxiang(LI20, bilateral), Yintang(GV24+), Shangxing(GV23) and Hegu(LI4, bilateral) were stimulated. In both groups, the treatment was given once daily, for 2 weeks. The total nasal symptom score(TNSS), the total non-nasal symptom score(TNNSS) and rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ) score were observed before and after treatment; the contents of IL-4, IL-6 and IL-10 in serum were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Results Compared with the values before the treatment, the scores of TNSS, TNNSS and RQLQ, as well as the contents of serum IL-4 and IL-6 were all decreased after treatment in the two groups(P<0.05), while the content of serum IL-10 was increased(P<0.05). After the treatment, in comparison with the routine acupuncture group, the scores of TNSS, TNNSS and RQLQ, as well as the contents of serum IL-4 and IL-6 were decreased and IL-10 was increased significantly in the intranasal acupuncture group(P<0.05). The total effective rate of the intranasal acupuncture group was 90%(36/40), better than 80%(32/40) of the routine acupuncture group(P<0.05). Conclusion Intranasal acupuncture can effectively relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, and improve the patient's quality of life, and has a better curative effect than routine acupuncture.

      摘要:Objective To observe the analgesic effect of thumbtack needling therapy and the quality of life in puerpera underwent cesarean section. Methods One hundred and thirty-five puerpera underwent cesarean section were randomly divided into a medication group, a sham-thumbtack needling group and a thumbtack needling group, 45 cases in each group. In the medication group, the patient control analgesia(PCA) was given. In the thumbtack needling group, on the base of the regimen as the medication group, acupuncture with thumbtack needles was applied to lower abdominal point(Extra), Zusanli(ST36), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Geshu(BL17), Shenshu(BL23) and Dachangshu(BL25). The needles were retained for 48 hours. During the needle retaining, the sites with the needle embedded were pressed and kneaded for 3 times, 1 min each time, at the interval of 4 to 12 h. In the sham-thumbtack needling group, the sham-thumbtack needles were used; the acupoint selection, operation and treatment course were all the same as the thumbtack needling group. The visual analogue scale(VAS) scores of incision pain and ute-rine contraction pain, the incidence of postoperative adverse reactions, the amount of vaginal bleeding and milk amount in lactation were observed at each time point after the operation separately in each group. Results Compared with the medication group, the VAS score of incision pain was decreased 8, 12 and 24 h after operation(P<0.05), the VAS score of uterine contraction pain was decreased 8, 12, 24 and 48 h after operation(P<0.05), the lactation score was increased in 24 to 48 h after operation(P<0.05) in both the sham-thumbtack needling group and thumbtack needling group. Compared with the sham-thumbtack needling group, the VAS score of incision pain was decreased 8, 12 and 24 h after operation(P<0.05), the VAS score of uterine contraction pain was decreased 24 and 48 h after operation(P<0.05) in the thumbtack needling group. Compared with those from 2 to 24 h after operation, the vaginal bleeding amount was decreased and the lactation score increased from 24 to 48 h after operation(P<0.05) in all of the three groups. Conclusion The conventional PCA combined with thumbtack needling therapy obtained better analgesic effects on incision dynamic pain and uterine contraction pain in patients after cesarean section as compared with either the simple PCA or the combined treatment with sham-thumbtack needling and medication, and both the thumbtack needling and the sham-thumbtack needling therapy can increase the milk amount of lactation from 24 to 48 h after operation.

      摘要:Research articles on the mechanisms of acupuncture in the treatment of dysmenorrhea model in rats were retrieved from PubMed and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI). As revealed by the analysis, the underlying mechanisms were mainly related to the regulation of endocrine system and neurotransmitters, the modulation of immunoinflammatory responses, the improvement of uterine microcirculation, and reduction of oxidative stress. In the future, research should be carried out to explore the mechanism of acupuncture in relieving dysmenorrhea via acupoints and the specific mechanism of classical acupoints, so as to enrich the multi-pathway mechanisms of acupuncture in treating dysmenorrhea and provide more scientific basis for optimizing clinical modalities for primary dysmenorrhea treatment by acupuncture.

      摘要:Despite the significant efficacy of acupuncture in alleviating anxiety and depression, the mechanism remains unclear. In recent years, functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) technology has provided a visual method for deciphering the mechanism of acupuncture in treating anxiety and depression. This paper summarized the clinical studies about the imaging changes of anxiety and depression during the treatment with acupuncture under fMRI. The available studies demonstrated that acupuncture may act on functional nuclei and brain regions such as hippocampus, amygdala, cingulate gyrus, frontal lobe, and temporal lobe. The paper can lay a foundation for the further study of the central mechanism of acupuncture in the treatment of anxiety and depression.

      摘要:Knee osteoarthritis is a chronic joint disease characterized by degeneration of knee cartilage and secondary osteoproliferation, pain and dysfunction, with a high morbidity.Clinical evaluation of efficacy was mainly based on scales, including pain scales, knee function scales, quality of life scales. In order to fully present comprehensive evaluation criteria of acupuncture effect of knee osteoarthritis, this paper reviewed the scales, contrasted their characteristics and scope of application, analyzed the existing problems, and offered proposals to develop and choose efficacy evaluation criteria. Expecting to provide refe-rence frame to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture in treating knee osteoarthritis in the future.

      摘要:Using the philological method, the comparison was conducted between the internal canals of human body, meaning the four pairs of “phleps” in the ancient Greek medicine, and the eleven “mai”(meridians, vessels, channels) of Mawangdui silk manuscripts. It is believed that they refer to the initial understanding on the connecting passages of the human body in Western medicine and Chinese medicine respectively. Although they have their own unique characteristics, there are many similarities in running courses, related indications, diagnosis and treatment, as well as theoretic foundation. Both of them represent the duality of tangible blood vessels and intangible pathways, reflecting the common cognitive mode of human body and diseases in early human medicine, with the similar characteristics, e.g.analogy, examining the exterior to deduce the conditions in the interior, holistic connection and natural balance. The four pairs of “phleps” of ancient Greek medicine, with the preliminary features of meridians, were substituted by the blood circulation theory afterwards; whereas, the eleven “mai” of Mawangdui silk manuscripts were developed into a twelve-meridian system. These different evolution paths and outcomes may be associated with the distinct medical philosophies and cultural backgrounds between ancient Greek medicine and Chinese medicine. This summary provides a new approach and new perspectives for the study on the regularity of the early human medical origin, especially the origin of meridians.

      摘要:The physiological function of adipose tissue is dominated by the sympathetic nerve system(SNS), but obesity and other diseases may cause the abnormality of the SNS signaling pathway. Acupuncture has been proved to be an effective the-rapy to improve the function of SNS in adipose tissue. Based on the physiological and pathological significance of SNS, this paper reviewed the molecular pathways in which acupuncture directly or indirectly regulated the function of SNS in adipose tissue. As the mechanism of electroacupuncture in regulating autonomic nerves was continuously illuminated, the adjustment of acupuncture mode, such as selection of acupoints in different nerve segments and adjustment of stimulation parameters of electroacupuncture, presumedly induced different content ratios of neurotransmitters released by SNS efferent axons, including noradrenaline and neuropeptide Y, thereby producing different effects on weight loss. Therefore, the specific connections between various acupuncture modes and neurotransmitters released by SNS enriched the intrinsic nerve coding of acupoints, thus optimizing the acupoint selection protocol for the treatment of obesity.
