摘要:In order to understand the role of cholinergic system in caudate nucleus during acupuncture analgesia, the microinjection technique Was used. 4μg of hemicholine-3 (HC-3) which inhibits biosynthesis of ACh was microinjected into caudate nucleus in 16 rabbits. There were no significant changes on the pain threshold and body temperature in the rabbits. But the effect of acupuncture analgesia was partially antagonized by HC-3. At the 30th minute of acupuncture the pain threshold was only increased by 0.42±0.08 mA from that before acupuncture, which differed significantly from the acupuncture control group (P<0.005). In addition, 2μg of eserine was micro— injected into caudate nucleus in 11 rabbits, there was no significant change on the basic pain threshold, but when the microinjection of eserine was fo- llowed by electroacupuncture, the effect of acupuncture analgesia was mar- kedly increased, at the 27th minute of acupuncture the pain threshold incr- eased by 1.60±0.16 mA from that before acupuncture, which differed signi- ficantly from the acupuncture control group(P<0.02). According to our results, it may be suggested that cholinergic system in caudate nucleus plays an important role in acupuncture analgesia.

摘要:The work was carried out further to observe if the pressor reaction induced by acupuncture would accompany the reflex reaction of cardiac he- modynamics. Experiment were done on 16 conscious rabbits. The mean bl- ood pressure and the blood flow of aortic arch and central venous pressure were recorded, and then a series of indices of cardiac hemodynamics, for example, stroke volume, heart rate, cardiac index, the stroke volume work done by left ventricle and total peripheral resistance were calculated. During stimulating "Renzhong" and "Zusanli" by repeated intermittent square wave current respectively, the presser reaction appeared, central venous pressure, stroke volume, heart rate and cardiac index did not obv- iously change, but the stroke work done by left ventricle obviously incre- ased ("Renzhong" p<0.05, "zusanli" p<0.001) and total peripheral resis- tance obviously increased, too ("Renzhong" P<0.001, "zusanli" P<0.001). After both vagus nerves were cut, but cardiac sympathetic nerves rema- ined, there was no effect on the change of cardiac hemodynamics accompa- nied by presser reaction of acupuncture. After both stellate ganglia were excised, but vagus nerves remained, acupuncture could still induce obvious presser reaction by the increase of total peripheral resistance, but could no longer induce the increase of the stroke work done by left ventricle. The change of cardiac hemodynamics induced by the stimulation of saphenous. The experimental results show that the pressor reaction of acupuncture is simply induced by the contraction of peripheral blood vessels and then the increase of total peripheral resistance. However, it can accompany the increase of contractility of cardiac muscle by exciting cardiac sympthetic nerves so as to overcome the increase of afterload and maintain the original level of cardiac output.

摘要:The gastroelectrical activity has been recorded with non-polarized Ag- AgCl disc electrodes. Two recording electrodes are placed on the relative corpus ventriculi and pylorus in the abdominal surface of human. The ref- erence electrode is placed on the medial crus. The potentials led from the two recording electrodes are amplified simultaneously by a model Rh-5 Bio- physics amplifier in parallel with 16-20μf filter capacitor at input end and model RJG-3004 recorder. Observations were made on the effect of gastroelectrical activity indu- ced by needling Zusanli points and the relative specificity of different poi- nts in sixty patients treated with acupuncture. The ampitude and frequency of gastroelectrical activity were recorded and analyzed beforeand after 5 minutes the application of acupuncture. The results obtained as follows: 1.The effect of gastroelectical activity was greatest immediately at the onset of acupuncture. The gastric basic electric rhythm was 1.1-4.5 cycle/rain. (average 2.8±0.53 cycle/min.) and the amplit- ude 22286 μv (Average 104.4±63.59μv) before the application of acupuncture 2.There was a doubly modulating action induced by needling points on gastroelectrical activity, sometimes increasing and, sometimes decreasing. The amplitued and frequency were a slightly increased by needling Zusanli, Tianshu points of stomach channel, while the amplitude and frequency were decreased by needling The Zulinqi Points of gall bladder channel. It appears that there is a relative specificity in the action of the points on gastroelectrical activity.
摘要:A review of recent approaches regarding the effect of peripheral serot- onin in acupuncture analgesia is what this article attempts to present. It has been reported in most data that acupuncture might have the effects of elevation of the platelet 5-HT content and depression of free 5- HT concetration in plasma, the latter being considered as a pain-producing agent. Besides, the increase of tryptophan in blood was also reported after acupuncture. It is well known that tryptophan, the precursor of 2-HT, can permeate into brain via blood-drain barrier and facilitate intracephalic sy- nthesis of 5-HT which is an analgesic transmitter in the brain. As for the activity of APUD cells after acupuncture, there were conflicting reports of augmentation or depression in release of serotonin from APUD cells. Moreover, an increase of mono-amine oxidase activity in platelets was de- monstrated afer acupuncture and was positively correlated with the efficacy of analgesia. However, the mechanism of that remains to be elucidated.
摘要:This review gives some information about recent advances of research on biophysical properties of meridians and acupuncture points. Three opi- nions on the relation between the skin resistance and meridians were pres- ented. New methods for revealing the lower resistant points have been ap- plied. Some factors were considered as the cause of the lower resistant po- ints. Thermography, Kirlian photography and other physical methods used in acupuncture stuties recently are briefly introduced. These data have showed some scientific evidence for the existence of meridians and acupun- ctue points.
