循经感传现象的客观存在已为大量的临床实践和实验资料所证实。在循经感传的研究工作中

各地都看到一些如红线、白线、皮丘带等特殊的经络现象。这些现象提示

循经感传可能件有循行部位供血状况的变化。有些单位也对循经感传线上的血流图进行过观察

看到了一些变化。但在这些工作The pnrpose of this paper is to observe whether the variations in local impedance rheogram of the skin during the advance of the propagated sensati- on along channels(PSC)are characterized by“following the channel”

subjects under observation were 10 adults with marked PSC

The control gro- up was 15 subjects without PSC.The other 18 cases lying quiet and never having been punctured were also taken as control.The pericardium Channel of right forearm was observed.The acupoint punctured was Naiguan

Rhe- ogram was recorded from two levels of forearm and 3 points were measured on each level(one on the course of PSC and the other two on the bilateral of that course).The signal was averaged with Addscope ATAC-250

The results demonstrated that the amplitude increased

the ascending time shortened and the peak angle sharpened on rheogram in the majority of the points measured on the conrse of PSC

i.e.the local blood supply was improved.There was a tendency to following the channel in the variation of rheogram during the advance of PSC.Because of the defects in present reco- rding method

the results obtained couldn’t yet meet with the criteria for an objective index able to reflect the course of PSC

It remains to be improved. Resultsn of this work also showed that in order to estimate whether the vari- ation of an index was following the channel

the selection of control points was very important

If one point measured on the course of PSC was compared with one control point or only one level was observcd

the change of some parameters mentioned above was statistically significat

that is

the significance increased as the number of control points decreased

and vice versa

Therefore

we hold that it is necessary to record from one tesed point on channel with two control points biladral to it simultaneously and to observe as more levels as possible in order to reduce the errors for achieving a reliable result.This is a porblem worthy of notice in exploring the objective indices concerning the phenomenon of PSC.
