Role of Intrahippocampal Kappa Receptor in the Inhibition of Electroconvulsive Seizure by Electroacupuncture(EA) in Rats[J]. Acupuncture research, 1998, (2): 122-125.DOI:
The present work mainly deals with the relationship between Kappa receptors of hippocampus and electroacupuncture anticonvulsion. Microinjection of U-50488H into the hippocampus reduced the epileptiform activities and increased the EA anticonvulsion significantly. Microinjection of MR2266 or dynorphin A1
1
3 antiserum induced the provocation of the epileptiform activities
and resulted in disap pearance or reversal of the inhibitory effects of EA on seizure. The results suggest that Kappareceptors in hippocampus may play an important role in electroconvulsive seizure and EA anticonvulsion
