摘要

A medicated moxa cake was made of moxa wool combined with Chinese medicines of warming andstrengthening kidney-yang. 46 patients of kidney-yang deficiency were treated with the cake at thepoints Shenshu (BL 23)

Zusanli (ST 36)

Guanyuan(CV 4) and Zhishi (BL 52)

the other 32 patients were treated with ginger-separated moxibustion as control. The results showed that the cardinalsymptoms of kidney-yang deficiency were greatly improved after treatment with medicated moxibustion (P<0. 01). The markedly effective rate accounted for 81. 25 % and the total effective rate was93. 47 %

obviously higher than that of control group(P< 0. 05 )
