The present experiment aims to verify the influence of intracaudate midro-injections of dopamine (DA) and electric stimulation of the pars compacta ofsubstantia nigra (SNC) on the evoked discharges in pain-excitation neurons(PEN) and pain-inhibition neurons (PIN) in the ipsilateral caudate nucli ofthe rat.
