Abstract
This work was to investigate the relationship between acupuncture and stress/immune reactions. Rats were divided into control group
acupuncture "Zusanli" point (ST 36) group and clipping toe with iron tongs group. The contents of cortisol and the activities of T and B lymphocytes in spleen were measured. The results showed that points acupuncturing was not a stress reaction. The former can reduce the contents of cortisol and strengthen the immunologic function but the latter was just the opposite.
