Modern translational medicine has been developing worldwide for over 20 years, and its theoretical and methodological models undoubtedly provide considerable inspiration for translational research in acupuncture. However, the specificity of acupuncture therapy requires us to contemplate and seek specific models and methods suitable for the discipline of acupuncture. In order to promote the development of translational research in acupuncture, this Special lssue invites and includes a series of papers for publication, covering various important areas from general methodology to literature, basic research, clinical practice, teaching, and others, engaging in discussions from different perspectives and degrees.
