      摘要:Adult healthy cats, rabbits and mice were used as experimental animals in this study. The effect of the trigeminal system in facial acupuncture analgesia and its morphological basis were studied. It has been worked out on the following aspects: 1. Subcutaneous ionotophoretic potassium was used for inducing pain. The motor reaction of the fore leg of the rabbit was considered to be an index for pain reaction. Following the section of the trigeminal infra- orbital branch, or after the destruction of the trigeminal spinal caudal nu- cleus, it was shown that the analgesia response was obviously decreased or disappeared in facial acupuncture (i.g."SiBai" and "Jiache").It was suggested that the facial acupuncture impulse was transmitted into the trigeminal spinal caudal nucleus by the trigeminal nerve. 2. Following a complete or partial section of the trigeminal roots, stereotactic coagulation of its spinal caudal nucleus of the rabbit, or fo- llowing a lesion of the trigeminal ganglion of the cat, the trigeminal primary afferent fibers and the fiber projections of the trigeminal spinal caudal nucleus were traced by means of Nauta and Fink-Heimer techniques. The results were as follows. The trigemlnal primary afferent fibers projected into the trigeminal sensory nuclei, posterior horn of cervical spinal cord,the reticular forma- tion of the brain stem, solitary nucleus, nucleus raphe magnus, cuneatus nucleus, vestibular nucleus, etc. The trigeminal spinal caudal nucleus gave rising fibers to the thala- mic ventral posteromedial nucleus, intralaminar nucleus (parafasciculo-cen- tromedian nuclear complex), medial geniculate nucleus, the reticular for- mation of the brain stem, some nuclei of the cranial nerves(such as so- litary nucleus, dorsal motor nucleus of the vagus, facial nucleus), the other nuclei unrelated with the cranial nerve(nucleus raphe magnus, cunea- tus and lateral cuneatus nucleus)and the upper cervical spinal segment In addition, after complete transection or partial transection of the spin- al cord ad cervical, thoracic and lumbar levels in young rabbits the secti- ons of the brain stem were stained with the retrograde degeneration meth- od. It was found that the reticulospinal tract took origin from the ventral medullary reticular nucleus, gigantocellular reticular nucleus and nucleus raphe magnus. The trigeminal primary fibers and the trigeminal spinal caudal nucle- us connected with the central nuclei into which the impulses conveying from the somatic and visceral origin were converged. It is preliminarily assumed that the convergence of impulses coming from the facial acupuncture and other sources mentioned above is the neu- rological basis for their interaction. The significant function of the fiber projection connexions of the tri- geminal nerve and of its caudal nucleus is discussed in facial acupuncture analgesia. 3. In the serial sections of the rabbit brain stem stained with thionin and silver impregnation the trigeminal caudal nucleus consists of the ro- stral and caudal part. The latter is divided into the subnucleus marginalis, subnuleus gelatinosus and snbnucleus magnocellularis corresponding to lamina Ⅰ, Ⅱ-Ⅲ and Ⅳ of Rexed, respectively. 4. A piece of tissue of the trigeminal spinal caudal nucleus in the rabbit or mouse was removed under binocular. The thin sections were pre- pared in routine as usual and stained with uranyl acetate and lead citrate. The ultrastrucuures of the synapses in the nucleus were examined. It was found that several types of synapses were present within the nucleus, including axo-dendritic, axo-somatic axo-axonic and dendro-dendritic syna- pses. The translucent vesicles were mostly found in the presynaptic bou- ton, but granular in a few number. It is probable that axo-axonic syapses are the morphological basis for presynaptic inhibition.

      摘要:We observed the S.T. I. change in 46 cases with coronary heart disea- se. 36 cases of them were treated with laser at Neiquan points bilaterlly for 10 m nutes. The rest were treated with electroacupuncture at same po- ints for samc minutes. Then, we compared the action of laser and electro- acupuncture. The results showed that the S.T. I. in 31 of 36 the cases shortened after laser at the poiuts and in 5 cases it remained unchanged or increased. The shortened cases amounted to 86.1%, PEP, ICT, and PEP/LVET reduced by 8.7%, 19.6% and 8.3%, respectively. But LVET/ICT and the coefficient of heart capability increased by 13.5% and 19.56%, respectively. Before and after laser at points the difference was very remrkable (P< 0.001) The results also showed that the S.T.I. in 9 of the other 10 cases shortened after electroacupuncture for, 10 minutes and in 1 case it i- ncreased. The shortened cases amounted to 90%. PEP, ICT and PEP/LVET reduced by 9. 4% 11.2% and 10.8% respectively. LVET/ICT and the coe- fficient of heart capability increased by 15.01% and 18.18%, respectively. The difference was very remarkable in the same way(P<0.001). The shortening of S.T. I. reflects the improvement of left ventricular function. Both laser and electroacupuncture almost showel similer changes in some parameters of S.T.I. in direction and range. Therefore, we infer that laser at points may have the same affecting links and mechanisms as electroacupuncture in improvement of left ventricular function.

      摘要:We performed the subtotal gastrectomy for 10 patients with gastrodu- odenal ulcer acute perforation and 15 patients with giant gastric ulcer under acupuncture anesthesia with minor anesthetic. There were 23 men and 2 women ranged from 32 to 58 years (ave- (rage age, 45 years). There were 7 patients with duodenal ulcer acute per- foration and 3 patients with gastiic ulcer acute perforation. The giant ga- stric ulcer in all the cases sited on the posterior gastric wall. The ulcerative diameter averaged 3.3 cm. The mean time for operation was 3 hours. There was no complication of peritoneal cavity abscess or anastomotic fistula after operation. The acupuncture point was bilateral Jiaji below the fifth thoracic ver- tebra. The mixture of epidural anesthetic drug used consisted of 2% Li- docaine (20 ml), 1% Dicain (6ml), and N.S (14ml). The mean of the mixture used in the 25 patients was 5.3ml/3hs which was much less than that used in the contral group (28.6ml/3hs 25min.) The effect of anesthesia was guite satisfactory (first grade: 19 cases; second grade: 6 eases). It seems that there is synergism between acupuncture anesthesia and epidural anesthesia.

      摘要:382 newborn infants studied were divided into three groups. 128 infants were delivered under acupuncture anesthesia and 125 infants under general anesthesia. They were compared with a group of 129 infants delivered under local anesthesia as a control. The neurobehavioral examination involved an assessment of various reflexes, muscle tone and power, heart rate, respiration and colour of skin. These items were scored according to Apgar and the data were evaluated to ridit analysis. It showed that infants delivered under acupuncture ane- sthesia were free from the depression of the neonatal neurobehaviar were Acupuncture anesthesia can be used locally as local anesthesia in obstetric operations. In general anesthesia group, the neonatal scares were less than those of both local and acupuncture anesthesia groups, there was signifi- cant differences as compared with the above two groups.

      摘要:Our experiments showed that analgesic electroacupuncture (EA: 8c/s, 3V) had a pressor effect in conscious paralysed male rats under artificial respiration. The pressor effects of "Zusanli--Sanyingiao" and "Quchi-Neigu- an" were statistically different, suggesting that the effects of different acu- points were relatively specific. There was no significant difference betwe- en effects of different EA parameters used. In further experiments, ele- ctrostimulation of A_1 (or A_5, locus coeruleus) or microinjection of sodium glutamate into locus coeruleus produced a marked rise in blood pressure, but the pressor effect of EA remained unchanged after bilateral lesions of A_1 or A_5 nuclei. Thus, it is liKely that A_1 and A_5 areas do not play an- important role in pressor effect of EA. On the contrary, the pressor effect of EA was abolished by bilateral lesions of locus coeruleus, indica- ting that locus coeruleus (A_6) plays a critical role in pressor effect of EA.

      摘要:The objective of this study was to make a comparison of the effects of EA betweem ipsilateral acupoints and contralateral acupoints on noci- ceptive afferent impulses of peripheral nerve, and further to analyse the mechanism of the effect of EA at acupoints on different sides. Rabbits were anesthetized with chloralose-urethan and paralyzed. The peroneal nerve was placed on two pairs of electrodes for stimulation and tecording of the compound action potentials elicited by electrical stimuli with a strength sufficient for exciting all C--fibers. Acupoints were divided into two groups: (1) "Zusanli" and "Shangjuxu"; ipsilateral to nocicepti- ve stimulation; (2) "Sanyinjiao" and "Yinlingchuan" contralateral to no- ciceptive stimulation. The changes of the amplitude of C wave were obse- rved at 5min, 10min during EA and 5min, 10min and 20min after ceasing EA. The results indicated that the amplitudes of C wave were significantly decreased by EA of both group acupoints (P<0.05). It suggests that EA at both "ZusanIi" "Shangjuxu" and "Sanyinjiao" "Yinlingchuan" plays a frole in resisting the nociceptive afferent impulses. After a central lesion of the sciatic nerve ipsilateral to nociceptive stimulation, there was a de- pressed trend of C potential when "Zusanli" "Sangjuxu" were stimulated by EA, but there was no similar effect of EA when "Sanyinjiao" "Yinli- ngchuan" were stimulated. It suggests that the inhibitory effect of EA ipsilaterai to nociceptive stimulation has peripheral mechanism besides ce- ntre mechanism.

      摘要:We found that the skin lower impedance points in animals indicated the locations of meridian points. We wondered if they have specificity funct- ionally. Recently, laser has been employed in medical treatment and acu- puncture, but saiely used in experimental acupuncture rescarch. This pap- er was aimed to observe the effects of low-energy He-Ne laser irradiation of "Neiguan" on ECG in cats and to determine the functional specificity of "Neiguan" localized by lower impedance.the preliminary study of the relation between the laser offects and some nerves was also reported. Methods The standard lead of ECG and respiration were recorded at 15 min. int- ervals in anesthetized cats. "Neiguan" was localized by lower impedance. Stimulation was not given until the heart rate respiration and tend were steady. He-Ne laser with 6328A wave length, 3mW output, 20mm distance, 1 mm beam diameter was used for 15 min irradiation of "Neiguan" on each side or control point. In some animals, 5-30Hz or 5-1000Hz electro-acupun- ture lasting 30 min, was applied. In the control group, the procedures we- re the same but no stimulation was given. ECG parameters were measured in 23 cats before stimulation. Results 1.ECG parameters in anesthetized cats were presented. 2.In the control group of 10 cats, ECG showed little change during the period of the ewperiment. Laser irradiation or 5-1000Hz electro-acupunc- ture resulted in decresing of heart rate (HR) in the majority of cats whi- le R wave and T wave enlarged in some of them. 5-30H_2 electro-acupunc- ture mainly caused HR increasing. The alteration of HR began in 15 min. or 30 min.after stimulation. Frequently, it lasted to the end of experim- ents and did not turn back to the previous range. 3.Self control experiments were carried out int in 10 cats. Each cat was tested twice by random order either by stimulation of the lower impedan- ce point within "Neiguan" area or the adjacent point 5mm away laterally. The HR effect showed difference statistically between two groups of exp- eriments. 4.After laser irradiating "Neiguan" in 9 cats which showed depressing of HR, the median nerves were bilaterally cut. When the stimulation was repeated, no significant HR effect could be seen. Laser irradiation of the central end of the cut median nerves in 10 cats gave similar HR effects to that of irradiating of "Neiguan". 5.After the cervical vagi were bilaterally cut in 9 cats, ECG effects fo- llowing laser stimulation appeared no definite difference from those with intact vagi. In conclusion, Low-energy He-Ne laser irradiation of "Neiguan" affected the heart rate and R wave of ECG in cats. It seemed that these effects were transmitted by median nerves but not the cervical vagi, and humoral factors were probably involved in the process. We consider thet the skin lower impedance points show specific relation to the nature of meridian points and low-energy laser irradiation is superior to electro-acupuncture in acupuncture research.

      摘要:Epidermis was separated from the dermis through blister formation by the application of negative pressure on the surface of human skin. The im- pedance of the blistered epidermis was tested by a skin impedance detec- tor. It was found that the low impedance characteristics of the line of latent propagating sensation along the channel on the epidermis still exist as before the formatjon of blisters. Experiments were carried out on the channel of pericardium of normal persons and on the channels of stomach and spleen of excised limbs after amputation. The preliminary experiments show that the low impedance nature of the line of latent propagating sensation along the channel is intimately related with the structure of epidermis.

      摘要:This paper introduces the recent advances in research on the relation- ship between acupoints and viscera, and its connective pathway. We pla- ce primary emphsis on both the pericardium channel of hand-jueyin and the Stomach channel of foot-yangming. Results of extensive investigation in the clinic and laboratory showed that some acupoints stimulated by acupunctu- re could modulate functional activities of the corresponding viscera. Con- versely, some acupoints on body surface could appear abnormal responses when a certain viscera suffers from diseases or changes its functional acti- vities. Most of the scholars considered that there are some relative speci- fic connections between acupoints and organs. These results demonstrated that the theory of traditional Chinese medicine is correct on the relatio- nship between acupoints and internal organs. Many medical studies sug- gest that the nervous system,especielly the vagetative nervous system may be one of the important material basis, and the somatovisceral reflex and the viscero-somatic reflex may be one of its physiological mechanisms.
