摘要:One hundred and eight cases of secluelae of cerebro-vascular accident were randomly divided into two groups temporal point group (TG, 58 cases)and body acupuncture guoup (BG, 50 cases ). It was shown that after 30 treatments the therapeutic effccts were significantly different statistically (P<0.01) between the two groups. The effect in TG was better than that in BG. It indicates that the two acupuncture therapies can improve blood rheology in patients. The ameliorative function in TG was better than that in BG.
摘要:With the acupuncture treatment skill of pause and regress in six parts, we have treated facial paralysis of 260 cases. The other 50 cases were treated with the uniform reinforcing - reducing method as control. The result shows that the effectiveness of the former is better than the latter (P<0.01). The acupuncture treatment skill of pause and regress in six parts is a new way developed from the reducing mcthod of the traditional reinforcing-reducing method of lifting and thrusting the needle and nine-six reinforeing-redueing method. In addition,the acupuncture points were chosen in the area of the main distribution of the facial nerve. Through the clinical practice, the acupuncture treatmint skill is an effective way for treating old facial paralysis.
摘要:We have treated 172 cases of N. S. diseases with PEC-88A Type of the Programmed Electroacupuncture Apparatus with shows of frequency and voltage of electro-pulse. Of 172 cases, 47 cases were cured (27.3%), 77 markedly effective (44.8%),44 improved (25. 6%), 4 failed (2. 3%).The total effective rate was 97. 7%. The observation showed that different stimulating strength was needed to different disease through observation of the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture. The strongest was for the sequela of poliomyelitis. The next was for the sequela of apoplexy. The lightest was for sciatica. and during treatment the stimulating strength to disorder side is larger than one of normal side. By the way,the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture was reduced step by step while thedisease becomebetter little by little.) The result of clinical observation displaed that the stimulating strength was determined according to the part of injured N. S and patient's sensitivity to the stimulating strength of electroacupuncture when useing electroacupuncture.
摘要:Hysteromyoma is a very common disease among women and there is no specific therapy except for surgical operation. We have taken acupuncture to treat it and at the same time we used Chinese and western medicine treatments as a control. As a result, we find that acupuncture treatment is bethter than medicine treatment. The total effective rate is 98% and cure rate is 73%.
摘要:10 heads of adult cadaver were used for investigation of the motor and sensory area of scalp acupuncture. The results are as follows: both the surface anatomy of precentral and postcentral gyrus were not exactly match with the tnotor and sensory area decribed in acupuncture textbook respectively. They were backward. Among them, the upper points were 0. 5cm backward to motor area and 1.Ocm to sensory area, the lower point of precentral gyrus was 1.0cm posterior to the intersecting point of the eyebrow-occiput line and the anterior border of the natural line of the hair at the temple, while the lower point of postcentral gyrus is 2. 4cm posterior to the intersecting point above described.Therefor, the authors suggested that the motor and seasory area of the scalp acupuncture should be backward and recommended: take the pount 1. 0cm and 3. 0cm posterior to the midpoint of anteroposterior midline as the upper point of motor and sensory area respectively, 1. 0cm and 2. 0cm posterior to the intersecting point above described as the lower point respectively. In this way, the motor and sensory areas are better rnatched with precentral and posrcentral gyrus than before (P<0.05).
摘要:Fibers from the cortical somatosensory area Ⅱ (SII) or motor cortex (MCtx) to intralaminar nuclei (ILN) have been proven to exist, and SII was found to be connected with MCtx by cortico-cortical fibers. The present work was undertaken to study whether MCtx participated in SII producing descending mdulation of ILN.All experiments were performed on sodium pentobarbitone anaesthetised cats. Single unit activities of ILN neurons were extracellularly recorded by glass microelectrodes. The effects of stimulating SII on nociceptive responses of ILN neurons were observed before and after cooling MCtx. The nociceptive responses of ILN neurons were attenuated by stimulating SII. There was a statistically significant difference at 0' - 2' after the stimulation (n= 14, P<0.05). The inhibitory effect of stimulating SII was reduced after cooIing MCtx (19℃ - 20℃) in 8 neurons, and abolished in other neurons when the temperature was below 18℃.MCtx was involved in SII producing descening modulation of ILN.
摘要:The dynamic changes of cortical somatosensory evokded potential during occluding bilateral common carotid arteries and electroacupuncturing "Hegu"point were recorded and observed IN 30 wistar rats anesthetized with chloralose and urethane, The main results were as follows: After brain ischemia,P. N. amplitudes of SEP were significantly depressed,and the spike latency of SEP is obviously increased. The decreased amplitude of SEP during brain ischemia could be obviously increased by electroacupuncturing "Hegu" point. It is suggested that SEP may be an indicator to show brain ischemia ,and acupuncturing "Hegu"point could improve brain ischemia.
摘要:By means of push-pull perfusion technique and the special radioimmunoassay we determined the GnRH concentration of the perfusates from preoptic area (POA) in ovariectomized (OVX) and intact (INT) female rats, to observe the influence of naloxone and electroacupuncture (EA) on the release of GnRH and β-endorphin from POA. The results show that the basic GnRH level of POA perfusate in OVX was 271. 8±77. 5pg/ml and that in INT was 52.4±11. 1pg/ml. There was a significant difference between the basic levelsof two groups (P<0.02,n = 12 ). No difference of β-endorphin basic level in OVX and INT was found. The GnRH level of POA perfusate in OVX was increased by 146.6±46. 5pg/ml (P<0.01, n = 12 ) 30 minutes after intraperitoneal administration of naloxone, but no obvious change was found in INT following naloxone administration. EA treatment had no effect on the release of GnRH and β-endorphin in both of OVX and INT. The results suggest that the negativefeedback of estrogen may be a major regulative factor of GnRH under the normal condition and after the abolition of estrogen feedback induced by ovariectomy the centrol opioid peptide might be the main regulative mechnism for GnRH.
摘要:The effects of the nucleus central lateralis (CL ) on the unit discharges evoked by the splanchnic afferents in the posterior group of thalamic nuclei (PO) were studied with extracellular microelectrode techniques. In 35 cate. 96 units (98%)producing evoked discharges in PO with the latency range of 30 -150ms were observed. The evoked discharges of 69 units in PO were depressed by stimulating CL with a short train of electric pulse through a hipolar electrode, but the other 27 units were uninfluenced. The inhibition of CL can be classified into 3 forms: the instant inhibition,the delayed inhibition and the continued inhibition. The injection of picrotoxin (1‰, 40μl) into lateral ventricles of the brain could invertthe inhibitory effects of PO cells caused by stimulating CL. The results suggest that there may be direct neryous pathway from CL to PO and some of these neurons may function with GABA with GABA as neurotran mitter .The GABA The CL may execute the instant inhihition through the nervous pathway.It is conefuded that CLhas mbibitory effect on visceral pain and GABA is involved in the inhibitory process.

摘要:The unit discharges of posterior group of thalamic nuclei (PO), evoked by stimulating greater splanchnic nerve (SPL)and centromedian nucleus(CM) respectively in cats were studied with extracellular recording method and stereotaxic techniques. The evoked potentials of 63 neurons in PO by stimulating SPL and 16 ones in PO by stimulating CMwere observed in 26 cats, indicating that PO might be one of the representative areas of the splanchnic afferent pathway and there might be a nervous projection between CM and PO. Moreover, convergence of unit discharges produced by stimulating CM and SPL in PO was found, suggesting that pain signals from the viscera and impulses from CM can interact each other at PO.
摘要:This paper reported our observation of the action of acupuncture on the change of gastric function induced by the excitation of the lateral hypothalamus area (LHA,the feeding center),and research on the mechanism of the acupuncture to inhibiting excessive appetite and reduceing hunger in obese people. Electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST 36) or Neiting (ST 44) could inhibit the hyperactivity of the stornach induced by stimulation of LHA (P<0.05,P<0.01). The electroacupuncture effect on LHA remained statistically significant (P<0.05, P<0.01)0. 5 2. 5 hours after acupuncturing. The α-receptor blocking agent phentolamine (1mg/kg )was not distinctly affected (P>0.05) on the inhibition of electroacupuncturing Zusanli (ST 36)to restrain the hyperactivity of the stomach induced by stimulation on LHA; But β-receptor blocking agent propranolol (0. 3mg/kg) could obviously inhibit the effect of electroacupuncturing Zusanli (ST 36) to restrain hyperactivity of stomach triggered by excitation of the LHA. The result shows that electroacupuncture obviously inhibits gastric hyperfunction caused by exccitation of the LHA,for as long as over 3 hours, thus indicating the participation of the humoral factors. Since the electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST 36) only inhibits gastric hyperfunction caused by excitation of the LHA,it is suggested that the electroacupuncture has an anticholinergic effect through the gastric β receptor, therefore it inhibits the appetite, relieves hunger and reduces body weight in obese people.
摘要:The influence of thoracic spinal subarachnoid microinjection of Phentolamine (Phen, 200ug/20ul)on the effect of electroacupuncture. (EA) at Neiguan (PC 6) was observed in 42 urethan-chloralose anesthetized rabbits. Results showed that: 1) EA of Neiguan((PC 6) could significantly promote recovery of elevated ST-segments and T-waves of electrocardiogram induced by acute myocardial ischemia (AMI). 2) subarachnoid microinjection of phentolamine had no marked influence on recovery of ST-segments and T-waves, but impeded recovery of blood pressure of post-AMI; 3 and 3) subarachnoid microinjection of phentolamine could significantly weaken or eliminate the effect of EA of Neiguan(PC 6) in accelerating recovery of ST-segments and T-waves of post-AMI. It denotes that αreceptors of intra-thoracic spinal cord participate in the action of EA of Neiguan(PC 6) in improving AMI, and the upper thoracic segment of the spinal cord is one of the links for connecting Neiguan and the heart.
摘要:In this study, extracellular recordings were made from wide dynamic range (WDR) neurons in lumbar segments of the spinal cord in rats transsected at the first lumbar segment. The nociceptive discharges of WDR neurons were depressed by weak electro-acupuncture applied to ″Yanglingquan″-″Xuanzhong″ points. The depression was blocked by i. v. administration of adenosine receptor antagonists, theophylline and caffeine. The observations indicate that depression of the nociceptive response of the WDR neurons induced by weak EA may be mediated by adenosine within the spinal cord.
摘要:The experiment was designed to study the effects of acupuncture hypothermia and its relationship to the changes of arginine vasopressin (AVP) contents in the plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)of the rabbits. The results were as follows: (1)The intermittent electroacpuncture obviously inhibits the fever induced by endotoxin in rabbits, AVP contents in the plasma and CSF were increased markedly in comparison with normal and febrile rabbits. (2) Injection of AVP-antiserum into the septal area markedly reduced effects of acupuncture hypothermia. The experimental resuhs suggested that one of the mechanisms of acupuncture hypothermia might be promoting release of endogenous AVP.
摘要:Trace element,Cr+3 or V+5 are injected into acupoint of mice for pretreatment and then pentobarbital sodium injected into the same points,it is found that the element Cr+3may shorten time of onset sleeping and prolong time of maintenance sleeping of injecting pentobarbital sodium at ″Zusanli″pcint, while the element V+5may shorten time of onset sleeping and proong time of maintenance sleeping of injecting pentobarbital sodium at "Neigran"point. It indicates different trace elements can produce different influence on acupoint drug effect entering "Zusanli"or "Neiguan" point. The results mentioned above suggest that the different respones of different acupoints to same drug may be relaeted to the different ion structures or different semi-conductive properties of the different acupoints.
摘要:The pain components of somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs)induced by nervi tibialis Posterior stimulation were studied by blocking bloodstream of leg in 10 normal adults. The SEPs following the painful stimuli (0. 1 msec square wave pulse)of the right ankle were recorded from the parietal median (C'Z)and the reference electrode at earlob. The pressure of 80 mmHg avove the arterial pressure was given to the right calf by sphygmomanometer. The result showed that the P250-N350 components (latency 244. 2±10. 1 msec and 344. 2±14.9 msec)of the SEPs persisted and the others disappeared when tactile sensation disappeared but pain existed. It suggested the P250-N350 were the pain potentials of nervi tibialis posterior SEPs.
摘要:The immunodepression model was established by means of intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide in rats. Their phagocytic percentage and phagocytic index of peritoneal macrophages (PM)as well as serum lysozyme (LSZ)decreased obviously; After 6 days of acupuncture at "Zusanli"points (ST 36), PM phagocytic percentage and phagocytic index increased significantly, Serum LSZ showed no significant change. These results indicate that acupuncture can increase the phagocytic function of M in rats of immunodepression, but Serum LSZ level does not synchronously increase with the phagocytic function of M.
摘要:The experiments were performed on BABL/c mice with S-180R adriamycin resistant tumor cells. This animal model was used to analyze the drug accumulation in the S-180R cells by flow cytometer. The drug accumulation presents the pump activity of multidrug resistance (MDR) gene product P-glycoprotein (P-170) in the cell memberane, A weak inhibition was found when moxibustion at Guan-Yan point alone. And a very significant inhibition was observed in the presence of lowdosageof verapanlil, but not at high dose. This study may develop a new way to research the mechanism of actlpuncture and moxibustion at molecular level,and may be useful to overcome the anticancer drug resistance.
摘要:Experiments were per formed in SD rats.Three pairs of bipolar electrode were implanted surgically on the antrum,ascending and descending colon of rats. The stress model was induced by restraintcold immersion (4℃ Water, 30-40 min.). The modulating effect of Zusanli ST36 acupuncture on gastroenteric electric activity was investigated. The inhibitory effects of gastro-colon electric activity were obviously displayed in stress rats, such as the frequency and amplitude of slow wave were reduced,rhythmic disorder, degree of dispersion was enlarged, fast wave was decreased and the IDMEC phase Ⅲ was prolonged or disturbed. Acupuncture of Zusanli could effectively reduce the inhibition effect of gastro-colon efortric activity induced by stress in rats.
摘要:It is well known that acupuncture is effective for treatment of gastric disease in human. We have observed the effect of acupunctureing" Zhongwan"" Neiguan" "Zusanli" on fluorohistochemical changes of G cells of antral mucosa in 42 patients with gastric diseass. The results show that after acupuncture treatment the amount of fluorescent G cells and the fluoresent intensity of gastrin in the G cells were obviously decreased in patients with duodenal ulcer, as compared with that before acupuncture treatment. However,the amount of G cells was increased by acupuncture treatment in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis.These data indicate the acupuncture may regulate G cell from abnormal to normal condition in gastric mucosa of gastric disease.
